The Offer

Chapter 1

Ella.

The chirping of birds woke me up. It has been a long strenuous day for me and I think I am already losing everything. I couldn't get the job I was interviewed for yesterday and it seems luck wasn't on my side. The woman was staring suspiciously at me but I ignored the fact she was just being jealous of my beauty I thought. I don't know the reason why she asked the secretary to have my details. I might still be lucky to get hired. I screamed happily.

Getting down from the bed I wore my flip-flops, the smells of Bacon and chicken were coming from the sitting room, I know my mom is cooking again and the thought of not being able to provide for my family's welfare hit me again and I was sad as I walk sluggishly to where she was and hug her.

"You don't have to be sad, Ella you're going to find a good job to take care of me and your dad,'' she muttered as she swiveled her head to my side smiling widely and I was lost staring at how beautiful she was.

She tapped me on my shoulder, jolting me out of my reverie.

"So tell me how was the interview? She muttered as she dishes the food in the dining room, gesturing for me to have my seat.

"It wasn't really good, I didn't get hired. I muttered my face down with disappointment. You don't have to give up now darling, I know you're trying, but I think things aren't just working perfectly right?

I took a bite of the bacon. My phone beeped and it was a call from an unknown ID. My heart beat so fast that I thought it was going to burst out of my chest. I was happy and delighted for some reason.

"Hello, good morning I muttered over the phone but there was no response.

"Ella, you're hired as the new assistant of the boss, you're to resume work at Gaston's Company,'' the caller said and I screamed happily over the phone.

"Thank you so much for this opportunity I muttered but the call ended abruptly before I could say anything further.

"Mom, have gotten a job I screamed and she smiled at me I told you not to lose hope everything is going to be fine, and look at how merciful God is she muttered as she hug me tightly, I know everything is going to fall into places for us eventually, now we can start saving up for Dad surgery I said as she stared at me and I rolled my eyes at her.

"You should first start earning the money first,'' she said with a bit of sarcasm in her words.

The first time I ever felt so happy, I rushed over to the bathroom to have my bath. My mom has already ironed my clothes for me. She was adamant that I should wear a skirt and a T-shirt. It's my first day at work and I must look co-operate and well dressed.

I packed my hair in a straight bunny and applied a little makeover. Dressed so perfectly I hope everything turns out well for me today. I whispered as I closed my eyes and murmured a few prayers before stepping out of the room.

"Wow, you look so dashing and attractive my darling, she muttered as she pouted. Stop being like this mom you're making me blush like this isn't the first time I am dressing like this. I muttered as I rolled my eyes at her and she smiled at me.

"Have a tea before you go,'' she muttered as she handed over the cup of tea to me and I sipped it down quickly.

"Mom I have to go now,'' I said as I pecked her cheeks and rushed out of the room.

GASTON COMPANY.

The chauffeur drop me at the gate of the company, I exhale before going in 

I hope it is not too late.

Entering the company, I walked over to the reception. The lady there was blond and tall. She looked more corporate than I am, but who cares, this is my first time here, I said to my subconscious.

"Good morning ma, and how may I help you? She said as she smiled lightly at me showing her white teeth.

"I was asked to resume work this morning. I muttered as she stared at me from head to toe, please give me a minute. I need to put a call through to the boss and tell her you're already here early,'' she said as I stared speechlessly at her.

The landline beeped, she picked up staring at me and I gave her my best smile.

"The boss said you can come in,'' she said and I was stunned by her reaction. The way she looks at me gives me goosebumps.

I knocked on the door, and the voice that echoed sounded like an angel.

The office was well furnished and clean, it was sparkling and I swear down it felt like I was in heaven. The cool breeze and the spanking sensation of the offices sent adrenaline down my spine. But something was off about the boss, she was facing the back with her chair.

"Are you done drooling over the places she muttered as she swiveled her chair to the front giving me a proper view of her face? She was a lady in her mid-thirties, beautiful and elegant.

"I chose rightly, you are the perfect tools for my revenge, '' she said giggling to herself.

"What do you mean like, am I the perfect tool?'' I asked curiously. As she walks over to me. She touched my face as tears rolled down her cheeks. I was stunned at the way she embraced me.

"I have an offer that will change everything about your existence and you won't be caught. You just have to kill a few people and I will give you half of my wills and money she whispered and I gasped. This wasn't what I was expecting. I am short of words and am sorry I can't do this.
