IT was already dark when she reached a narrow pavement leading towards the street where Parker’s house was located. Sophie’s words kept on echoing inside her mind: “Help me talk to him.” How could she even do that? She hasn’t even talked to him for days.

She shook her head to ease the tension away. Just then, her attention was caught when suddenly, she felt like someone was following her. She quickened up her pace just to get away with it. If it was the guy from the club again, she didn’t know what might happen to her.

When she tried to run, she heard running footsteps again behind her. She didn’t want to look anymore. Her mind was set to just run and reach the house. Her hands trembled as she reached for her phone from her pocket. Exhaustion came over her but she didn’t want to stop. Her pace was gradually decreasing that when she tried to take a break, a hand grabbed her by the arm causing her to smack the stranger hitting him in the arm.

“A-Aww!” The guy winced in pain, which made

AS soon as their last period ended, Kace quickly stood up from her seat and prepared herself to leave first. She was making her way towards the library when suddenly, someone called her. When she turned her back, she saw her friends, Brandon and Kenneth waving at her. She looked behind her just to check if there’s someone else they’re waving at but there was none. She watched as the two made their way towards her. Her eyes were fixed on the floor avoiding their gazes. “Chief!” The two chorused.“Uh... Brands... Ken... W-why are you... talking to me?” She asked them dumbfoundedly. The two exchanged glances. Then, Brandon turned to her. “I don’t know the reason why you lied to us, Kace but we both respect the fact that you didn’t tell us your secret.”Kenneth nodded. “And we also feel bad avoiding you...”Brandon interrupted the other guy from speaking. “But we still deserve an explanation why you didn’t tell us.”“So we’re giving you a chance to trust us with whatever reason you have..

THE sun has already set in when the two finished their trip to the amusement park. Kace felt really exhausted after all that walking and travelling, though it was only a few hours away from the Parker’s residence. But she couldn’t deny the fact that she enjoyed it, mainly because she was with Luke.“Kace?” She heard him speak beside her.“Yeah?”“You still haven’t told me what you wished for when we got down the Ferris Wheel.”“Oh… that…” she paused and stopped walking. “You… really wanna know?”He nodded.“I…” She sighed before deciding to continue. “…wished you’d give Sophie another chance. Not just to talk to you, but to start anew with her again.”Luke took a step back when she heard Kace’s response. He just couldn’t get back with Sophie, especially now. She was really determined to help Sophie and he wasn’t liking any of it at all. “You don’t know what you’re saying Kace.”“No Luke. You should be telling that to yourself. KACE has been trying to control herself the entire time she was inside Chandler’s car. She still couldn’t understand why he suddenly showed up and dragged her away from Luke. Even if it was for Sophie’s sake, it was still not valid enough for him to just do that. She glanced at the guy who has been focused on the road since they got in. His right hand was steering the wheel while the other was clenched in a fist. Why was he suddenly mad? She heaved a sigh and finally decided to speak. “Stop the car!”But the guy didn’t comply. He continued to drive like he didn’t hear anything.“Stop the car, Parker!” She yelled at him this time. But still, he didn’t listen. Instead, he accelerated the car overtaking the other cars infront of them. She got irritated so she gripped his hand furiously. “Chandler! Are you really trying to get us killed?” she asked him at the top of her voice. “I’ll jump out of the car if you still won’t stop.”He got alarmed at her sudden warning, so he finally jeered th

LUKE couldn’t keep still from his seat as soon as they reached the airport. He didn’t know why he suddenly felt anxious without even doing anything. Something just kept on bothering his system which he couldn’t point out.Today is the day that he and his brother would leave Florida for good. He was left with no choice but to follow his dad’s order after finding out that he got hospitalized because of a soccer game. But he didn’t care about that at all. All that mattered was the last time he saw Kace at the field… and him… without even saying goodbye.“Luke, what are you thinking?” He heard Lance ask beside him.He just shrugged and immersed himself with the music that was playing on his phone. He closed his eyes for a minute and suddenly, the image of Kace flashed before him.“Are you really taking LuKa back to London?” Lance asked again while touching the pet inside the cage.He suddenly paused when he remembered LuKa. He was supposed to give it back to Kace before he leaves. But he

It has been only a few hours since the accident happened. The scene of her getting hit by the moving car kept on playing over and over in his mind that he wanted to replay it and undo it… if only I could. His hand moved towards her face which was almost unrecognizable at first glance due to the bruises and wounds she sustained. His only wish at that time was for her to wake up and see her smile again. That way, he’d feel lighter and brighter again…Minutes later, there was a knock on the door. He stood up from his seat and opened it, revealing their friends who came rushing in as soon as they saw Kace.Nix was the first one who came running towards her with her eyes glistening with tears. “Kace! You have to wake up! You still need to win, right?” She continued to shake Kace’s body.Chandler watched as the othe

Maybe they both went back to their country and lived their lives as they were before. How she wished she never met them…On the other hand, she just heard the news that Jessie already flew out of the country to study there. Everything was still a mystery to her as to why she just transferred. She was still deep in thought when suddenly, someone called her attention from behind, “Hey, a penny for your thought?” This caused her to turn around and yank her arm at the guy who tapped her shoulders. “Parker, what are you doing here?” She questioned, as soon as she saw his face.“I’ll go with you. I’m actually a member of the pub. Have you forgotten that?” He smirked at her.“But… you have soccer…” She asked in confusion. He shook his head. “Nope. The games were re-scheduled. KACE stepped out of Chandler’s car, as soon as they reached their house. She still couldn’t get rid of Luke’s face in her mind, seeing how weak he looked earlier in the field. She actually watched the two play soccer that whole time. And she also knew that Chandler was the one who started hitting him. But, she was able to control herself from pitying the guy who lied to her.Chandler walked her to their doorway and before she could step in, she heard the guy speak. “Kace, I’m sorry.”She turned around to face him. “What are you saying sorry for?”“I wasn’t supposed to hit Luke, but… I wasn’t able to control myself.” He confessed. She nodded. “I know, Parker. You don’t have to say sorry.”“You’re not mad?” He asked in confusion. She shook her head. “We all lose it sometimes and I understand.”He took a step forward and pulled her in for a hug. “Thank you Kace.”She wasn’t able to respond at that instant because she was too stunned at his sudden gesture. “Chandler…”“Just let me do this
