THE sun has already set in when the two finished their trip to the amusement park. Kace felt really exhausted after all that walking and travelling, though it was only a few hours away from the Parker’s residence. But she couldn’t deny the fact that she enjoyed it, mainly because she was with Luke.

“Kace?” She heard him speak beside her.

“Yeah?”

“You still haven’t told me what you wished for when we got down the Ferris Wheel.”

“Oh… that…” she paused and stopped walking. “You… really wanna know?”

He nodded.

“I…” She sighed before deciding to continue. “…wished you’d give Sophie another chance. Not just to talk to you, but to start anew with her again.”

Luke took a step back when she heard Kace’s response. He just couldn’t get back with Sophie, especially now. She was really determined to help Sophie and he wasn’t liking any of it at all. “You don’t know what you’re saying Kace.”

“No Luke. You should be telling that to yourself. Can’t you see that Sophie came back here and made an effo

KACE has been trying to control herself the entire time she was inside Chandler’s car. She still couldn’t understand why he suddenly showed up and dragged her away from Luke. Even if it was for Sophie’s sake, it was still not valid enough for him to just do that. She glanced at the guy who has been focused on the road since they got in. His right hand was steering the wheel while the other was clenched in a fist. Why was he suddenly mad? She heaved a sigh and finally decided to speak. “Stop the car!”But the guy didn’t comply. He continued to drive like he didn’t hear anything.“Stop the car, Parker!” She yelled at him this time. But still, he didn’t listen. Instead, he accelerated the car overtaking the other cars infront of them. She got irritated so she gripped his hand furiously. “Chandler! Are you really trying to get us killed?” she asked him at the top of her voice. “I’ll jump out of the car if you still won’t stop.”He got alarmed at her sudden warning, so he finally jeered th

IT has been two days since Chandler confessed everything to Kace and yet, she felt like it just happened moments ago. She tried to avoid him at school by all means. But that day, she wasn’t able to escape Stephen’s request of eating lunch with them. She purposely sat next to her brother so she could just grip his hand in case, she’d pass out or act weird infront of Chandler and their friends. There was only her, Kris, Stephen and Chandler on their table, and the atmosphere was not really that good. Not until their other friends showed up infront of them and took their respective seats. “What’s with the eerie silence?” Theo snickered, turning to Stephen.“Oh, you’re both here,” Kris greeted him and Alex. The tanned guy smirked at him. “Is something going on here before we came?” He suddenly asked, noticing the awkward glances and silence.Stephen shook his head. “Nothing much. Except the fact that you both came in and ruined the peaceful ambience.”“Since when did you like being quiet,

IT was raining hard that night. Her clothes were soaked. Her long hair was tangled. Her breathing was rapid and shallow. Her heartbeat was racing like a mad cow. She has never ran this much before. She looked around her and realized that she eventually reached the park near their school. She wanted to stop and rest for a while but she feared that he might catch her.Just then, a voice from behind called out to her. "Kace, stop!"She didn't look behind. Instead, she continued to run, though her legs were about to bend and break."Kace, please listen to me!" he continued to shout. His voice was near. She tried to double up her speed. IT was already 8 pm when Kace and Kris arrived at the club where Alex’s party was held. There were a lot of people inside. Most of them were strangers to her. She gripped her brother’s arm tighter. She felt more secured that way. Kris leaned towards her and whispered, “Just relax, alright?” She nodded at her brother, as she made their way towards Alex who was busy conversing with their other friends near the side of the stage. “Happy birthday, Alex!” Kris greeted him with a punch on his chest.Alex pretended to wince in pain. Then, he noticed Kris’s company. “Oh, Kace, I’m glad you’re here.”“Happy birthday, Alex,” she greeted.“Thank you for coming. Let’s go sit there at our table.” He led the way towards their table where JM and Theo were seated.“Is Stephen still not here?” Alex asked the two.JM just shrugged. “He said he’ll come in late.”“How about Chand?” Kris asked as soon as they were seated. Before one of them could even answer, someone spoke in the microphone catching ever

AS soon as he saw Jessica walking back home, he didn’t waste any time and immediately followed her. He just really had to know the answers to his questions so he could be at peace. He has been observing her every move ever since that day he saw her with that notebook full of missions which were all targeted to Kace.He ran towards her before the four-eyed girl could even step inside her apartment. “Jessica!” He grabbed her arm with force causing her to wince in pain.“L-Luke, w-what are you doing here?” She stuttered, still grimacing in pain.“I want an honest answer from you, Jessica. WHY… ARE YOU TRYING TO SET KACE UP?” His hand was still clenched into a fist while the other was gripping her arm.Jessica paused, meeting his eyes. “Do you really want to know?” She asked in sarcasm. “I just hate her, as simple as that.”“WHAT???” He exclaimed after hearing her ridiculous answer. “I don’t believe you, Jessica.”“She took away everything that’s supposed to be mine. KACE stepped out of Chandler’s car, as soon as they reached their house. She still couldn’t get rid of Luke’s face in her mind, seeing how weak he looked earlier in the field. She actually watched the two play soccer that whole time. And she also knew that Chandler was the one who started hitting him. But, she was able to control herself from pitying the guy who lied to her.Chandler walked her to their doorway and before she could step in, she heard the guy speak. “Kace, I’m sorry.”She turned around to face him. “What are you saying sorry for?”“I wasn’t supposed to hit Luke, but… I wasn’t able to control myself.” He confessed. She nodded. “I know, Parker. You don’t have to say sorry.”“You’re not mad?” He asked in confusion. She shook her head. “We all lose it sometimes and I understand.”He took a step forward and pulled her in for a hug. “Thank you Kace.”She wasn’t able to respond at that instant because she was too stunned at his sudden gesture. “Chandler…”“Just let me do this

A week passed and she has never heard of Luke since that day. She guessed he was already back in London right at that moment. Even Sophie wasn’t attending school. Maybe they both went back to their country and lived their lives as they were before. How she wished she never met them…On the other hand, she just heard the news that Jessie already flew out of the country to study there. Everything was still a mystery to her as to why she just transferred. She was still deep in thought when suddenly, someone called her attention from behind, “Hey, a penny for your thought?” This caused her to turn around and yank her arm at the guy who tapped her shoulders. “Parker, what are you doing here?” She questioned, as soon as she saw his face.“I’ll go with you. I’m actually a member of the pub. Have you forgotten that?” He smirked at her.“But… you have soccer…” She asked in confusion. He shook his head. “Nope. The games were re-scheduled. Even the other guys are coming.”“R-really? Then, where

Luke quickly hung up as soon as he heard Chandler’s voice over the phone. He didn’t know how that guy even got his number after changing it again. He turned back at Millie and she was still sleeping so soundly. After a few minutes, the cars infront started to move, signalling that the road must’ve already been cleared. Luke quickly accelerated the car heading towards Millie’s house. But then, he suddenly remembered, he didn’t know where their house was. He decided to just head towards their hotel which everyone knew about. He turned the car to the side and soon after, he noticed a black car following them from behind. That must be Chandler. He speeded up the car again to lose the car in sight. But the car behind was still catching up no matter what he did. Before he could make another turn, the black car behind disappeared. Luke was relieved when he knew this. But then, he got startled when the black car was already right infront of them, causing him to stop the car.“W-What’s that?”

“Y-You?” Millie mumbled to herself as soon as she realized the first person she saw entering the house.Mykel looked at her in confusion. “You know him? You know each other?” He turned to Luke this time.“Y-Yeah. We’ve met,” Luke answered, avoiding Millie’s gaze.“Oh, that’s great then. Millie, this is my bestfriend, Luke. I’m glad you two know each other already,” Mykel said, placing an arm on Luke’s shoulder.“It’s been years since we last saw you. Why did you suddenly come here in Florida, Myke?” Lance asked him.“Oh, well, I was just forced to come here. But, I guess it’s not that bad coming back because I met her again,” Mykel said, pointing at Millie.“Again?” Lance creased his brows. “You’ve met somewhere before?”“Yeah. We met in New York actually. Isn’t it cool that our worlds are so small?” Mykel asked them with an ecstatic look.“Yeah. Really small,” Luke answered, glancing at Millie.“Oh by the way, you don’t mind me using your kitchen, right? I was just about to cook some

“Pretend to be dating?”Millie frowned at that thought. She knew Chandler would never agree to it. She didn’t even know how this guy could just tell things, or rather order her things like this. They didn’t even know each other that much, except for the fact that they met in New York. Is this guy even for real?“I’m sorry but I just can’t, Mykel,” she told him.“I didn’t expect you to say yes actually. But I was just hoping you would,” Mykel said, eating his pancakes this time.Millie sensed a hint of desperation in his voice. She wanted to help him get away with his arranged marriage set-up, but his idea was just too much. Anyone who would hear it would seriously think it’s a crazy idea.“So, I guess you’d push through with the engagement with that guy,” Mykel muttered on his seat.Millie stayed silent. She actually forgot about that for a minute. She’d have to face Chandler again any time now and the guy has been waiting for her answer. She didn’t know why she seemed not to be ready

Everyone's attention turned to the guy who just walked in from the entrance with two guys holding him on his sides. Meanwhile, Millie's eyes almost popped out when she recognized who it was. "Mr. Stranger Guy?""Mr. Who?" Chandler asked her back, who was still down on his knees."Uh... no one,” Millie answered back, watching Mr. Stranger Guy make his way towards the table of the Kramer's."That must be the eldest son,” Millie's dad muttered on their table."Eldest son?" She mumbled back. So, he is a Kramer? Vince and Jane’s brother? Mr. and Mrs. Kramer's son? She shook her head in disbelief. How could their worlds be this small?"You know him, Millie?" Chandler asked her again, now standing up.Millie just shook her head. Then, an emcee from the stage spoke, catching back the attention of the crowd. Chandler groaned from his post. "My proposal is ruined. You haven't even answered me yet."Millie sighed. "I... can just answer you some other time, Chandler."“But, I want this scene to b

Millie suddenly heard bells ringing inside her head after Chandler said those words. They weren’t even a couple yet. She hasn’t even answered him yet. And now, he’s suddenly saying those things. And worst… infront of his parents. What was he thinking? It’s not like she didn’t want him back or anything, it’s just that it’s all happening so fast. She hit her head with her hand, as soon as she got back inside their house. She was about to sit on the couch when suddenly, a voice startled her from behind. “Millie, dear, you’re home late.” It was her dad, sitting on the couch.“Dad? When did you get here?” She asked back, taking a seat next to him.“Just now. I’m sorry I had to be out of the country most of the time.” He patted Millie’s head. “By the way, where have you been?”“At Chandler’s, dad.”“You seem rather… annoyed or pissed at something. What happened dear?” Her dad turned to her, waiting for an answer.“Uh…” She gulped down before continuing. “Chandler… said to his parents that h

Millie was feet frozen on the ground as soon as she heard Luke saying those words. What is this guy talking about? Why is he saying these things? Her mind just couldn’t handle it any longer.“I know, Millie. You may not remember anything about me, but I will make you remember me again.” Luke held her hand close to his chest. “I hope you won’t push me away. I’m just doing this to protect you because I know better than anyone else here.”Millie couldn’t speak. She wanted to run away from him because the guy was obviously a stranger to her. But something was telling her that she could trust him. There’s this weird feeling of comfort and warmth that she couldn’t exactly point out. And the way this guy looked into her eyes seemed so sincere that she wanted to believe everything he’s saying.“So please, Millie. Just stay here for this time. I promise to bring you back there by tomorrow,” Luke continued to speak.Millie gulped down and nodded her head.Luke smiled at her. “Come on. I’ll take

“… I love you so much. And I want us to be an official couple from this day onwards.”Millie blinked her eyes a few times, after hearing Chandler’s words. The guy already confessed and he wanted them to be an official couple. And though Millie was so sure that she felt the same way for him, she still didn’t want to engage herself and commit herself into a relationship.Like what her brother always reminds her, she was in no way going into a relationship and she was too scared to let people enter her life. But at the back of her mind, she was trying to convince herself that she could trust her life to Chandler. She was still in trance and was on the process of formulating an answer, when suddenly, the tall guy let out a sigh. “I’m sorry, Millie. I shouldn’t be pushing you into this.”“Oh… uh…” She was still lost for words. He probably felt awkward at the moment and that was the last thing she wanted to happen. “You don’t have to apologize Chandler.”The tall guy smiled again, his dimpl

Luke took a step back as soon as he heard the girl saying those words. “I am not Kace!” His mouth gaped open while trying to process what’s happening infront of him. Was she just pretending? He stared at her for a moment. Nothing changed from her appearance, except maybe for her long, wavy hair which was now hanging loosely down her chest, as opposed to her neatly tied-up hair years ago.Apart from that, he was still seeing the same Kassandra Larson whom he fell in love with. The bold and witty girl with kick-ass taekwondo skills was standing infront of him, only now, that girl didn’t recognize him. Is she pretending not to know me? He wanted to blurt out, but this was definitely not just some silly joke anymore.“Millie! Millie! Is that you?” Luke heard a voice coming from a distance. It must be Chandler already, he thought. But, why is he calling her Millie?Luke looked at the girl infront of him again and he could see how scared she was after what he did. He noticed her hands trem

Millie felt exhausted after dancing to almost all of her friends that night. She specifically told them that she didn’t want to dance, but everyone was just so stubborn especially Chandler, who basically spent all his time dancing with her. She sat next to Brandon on their table as soon as she finished dancing with her brother, who was kind enough to reprimand Chandler from asking her to dance again.“Millie… I haven’t danced with you yet.” Brandon hissed beside her.She turned to face him and saw that the guy was already on high with alcohol. “Brandon, I think you need to rest now.”The guy shook his head, as he grabbed another glass of alcohol on the table. He was about to drink it up, but Millie was just in time to stop him. “Hey! I’m still drinking, Millie!” He yelled at her, causing the others to look towards their table.Chandler and Kris quickly ran towards them and stopped Brandon from raging. “Brandon, that’s enough for now. You need to go to your room.” Kris said, placing an
