Chapter 66

JANE's POV

I woke up with a terrible headache. I was on the floor, and I struggled to remember why I was lying under my mirror stand. I tried to stand up but my head was banging and my eyes were spinning. I fell down twice when I tried to stand up so I decided to stay still for a while before I attempted to get up again. I got up without falling down this time. My hand was on my head, and it was aching badly. I took out my phone to check the time, but I couldn't see clearly because my eyes were half closed. I checked the time and saw that it was already 10 a.m. I jumped and tossed my phone on my bed. I looked at the door, wondering why my kids or Esther didn't knock on it. Then I realized that I had locked the door last night when I was crying so no one would see me cry. I opened the door and went downstairs, where I found Esther washing the dishes in the kitchen.
