I am starting to hate Clarice. Her instructions are cryptic and not very forthcoming. She tells me to do something, but she doesn't tell me how to do it. I think it's because she doesn't really know, and I can't really hold it against her. She isn't a chosen one, her mother was, so there is only so much she can know. I walked behind Jeremy's dad, following him closely. We were hiking up a trail. Nothing but the sounds of birds singing and leaves crunching beneath my boots surrounded us. It was very tranquil and really quite beautiful. I got the sense that Jeremy and his dad were human. Sounds didn't sound as clear through his ears and the colors weren't as vibrant as usual. My vision was limited, unable to see too far. He seemed fit for a human though. His legs didn't get like lead, and he seemed to have good stamina. I added a little more yellow to the red, unhappy with the orange color I had a moment ago. Trying to get the color right in these trees was driving me insane. I know that it doesn't have to be exact, but the perfectionist in me is telling me otherwise. I painted most everything else already just needed those speaks of orange leaves. I had already painted the trail and tree from ground level as well as the entrance to the cave. I am finishing up the view from the clearing, the image I swear I've seen somewhere before. Nate's P.O.V. I headed back to her room, getting there within a couple minutes. I knocked, waiting for her to answer. "It's open." She yelled. "I've come for your works of art." I smile wide as I enter the room, trying to mask any other emotion from playing on my face. "They're on the desk. Careful, they are still a bit wet." She yelled out from the bathroom. I walked over to the desk, admiring the paintings again. She's so talented. I looked over to the bathroom and she had left the door cracked just the slightest. She didn't mean to, I am sure. Rain's P.O.V.I stood in my room, dazed and confused. I almost chased after Nate when he left. Heli was the one that kept us contained in the room. Her sense of self coming to her before my own. For some reason my heart was fluttering against my chest, like the wings of a hummingbird. I made my way to Nate's room, his sweet smile coming to mind. I can't lose him as a friend. Eryn's P.O.V.(Right after he left Rain with Clarice) I hated leaving Rain to train, but it had been such a nice morning. I loved meeting her mother, even with her million questions. I could see where Rain got her courage from. I still couldn't believe I got to meet the infamous Artie. He seems a shell of his former self or perhaps everyone spoke about him through rosey colored glasses. Either way I needed to tell my father soon. He'll be so happy to know. I actually have enough time. I'll bring this news to him personally. I should be able to tree travel there and back before I'm supposed to meet Rain. I need to see Star too. I miss her. I still here Charles. Star can deny it all she wants but I know she's heart broken over him finding his mate. She cried so much when Charles turned 18 and they discovered that Star wasn't his mate. He should have never gotten involved with her. He took a risk, or really he had my sister take one.
