I am starting to hate Clarice. Her instructions are cryptic and not very forthcoming. She tells me to do something, but she doesn't tell me how to do it. I think it's because she doesn't really know, and I can't really hold it against her. She isn't a chosen one, her mother was, so there is only so much she can know. I walked behind Jeremy's dad, following him closely. We were hiking up a trail. Nothing but the sounds of birds singing and leaves crunching beneath my boots surrounded us. It was very tranquil and really quite beautiful. I got the sense that Jeremy and his dad were human. Sounds didn't sound as clear through his ears and the colors weren't as vibrant as usual. I added a little more yellow to the red, unhappy with the orange color I had a moment ago. Trying to get the color right in these trees was driving me insane. I know that it doesn't have to be exact, but the perfectionist in me is telling me otherwise. I painted most everything else already just needed those speaks of orange leaves. Nate's P.O.V. I headed back to her room, getting there within a couple minutes. I knocked, waiting for her to answer. "It's open." She yelled. "I've come for your works of art." For some reason my heart was fluttering against my chest, like the wings of a hummingbird. I made my way to Nate's room, his sweet smile coming to mind. I can't lose him as a friend.
