Arcane POV:

The sky was painted in muted shades of gray, as if even nature itself mourned the departure of a soul so dear. The air was thick with a somber stillness, the weight of grief settling over the gathering like a heavy shroud. We stood beside the open grave, a sea of solemn faces, each one a testament to the impact Mom had on the lives around her.

The casket, adorned with white lilies, seemed to glisten in the soft light. It was a stark reminder of the fragility of life, a vessel that held the physical remnants of a woman who had been the heart of our world.

I stood there, my gaze fixed on the casket, my heart heavy with the weight of loss. Mom had been more than a mother to me; she had been my confidante, my pillar of strength. We had conflicts between us but we were able to overcome them because of Mom. At that time I was not able to recognize her intentions but they were all for me. Every single decision that she made was for my future,
