Chapter 71: Let's Get A Divorce

Bryce after the call cancelled all his appointments for the day at the office and stayed with Angela at the hospital. A couple of minutes to hours went by before Angela opened her eyes. Her gaze fell on Bryce sitting on the chair next to her bed with his gaze fixated on his phone.

"Angela," Bryce called out to her putting his phone aside after noticing the small movement from Angela. "How are you feeling?" he asked leaning forward and taking her hand in his.

Angela tried to get up but Bryce prevented her from getting up.

"Relax. Just lie down for a while," Bryce said and Angela just stared at him.

Her mind quickly went to the artefact and memories of the night her parents were murdered flooded her mind. Her breathing became unsteady and started trembling. Her hands flew to her ears as she closed her eyes terrified.

"Angela," Bryce called out to her seeing her panic.

"Leave me alone. Go away from me," Angela cried.

"Angela, it's me, Bryce. Calm down," Bryce said trying to calm her down
