Even though Angela didn't want to be late for the meeting, her other reason for following Bryce was that she didn't know where the meeting was taking place or how to get there.

"I want everyone to be proactive, but it doesn't mean you should risk your life. If it is too difficult to be proactive, you can quit," Bryce said coldly and adjusted his tie.

His attempt to save Angela from getting hurt moved his tie from its position. Looking at his reflection in the elevator mirror, he properly positioned his tie.

"That is the thing. I don't want to lose my job. So if I have to fly without wings to beat time. I will. I will just guide my life, so I don't lose it in the process," Angela said, still with her head lowered wondering how Bryce was treating her that way.

She didn't expect any special treatment for being his wife but she was not expecting this cruel treatment either.

Bryce stared at her with a frown. He wondered where Angela got her boldness to reply to him. Most employees would j

Angela stood on the bus wondering why Susan would spill coffee on her. It was also a cold coffee. She was lost in her thoughts and hence didn't realize she had not arrived at her destination yet. Once the bus stopped, she got down from the bus and started walking down the pavement downcast. She was still thinking about why Susan spilt the coffee on her. Was this going to be like college bullying? After walking for a while, she lifted her head and noticed the strange environment she was in. Angela paused in her steps and turned 360 scanning the environment. It was a lone place. It looked like an abandoned place. The buildings looked dirty. One tall building had huge dustbins lined up on the side. Her gaze fell on a huge rat crawling under the wall close to the huge dustbins. It went behind the dustbin. How did I end up here? This is not the way to Bryce's home. Angela thought as she scanned the environment. She quickly turned around and started heading back to the bus stop using the s

The night slowly passed with Angela falling asleep due to the painkiller given to her which also had some ability to induce sleep. Bryce on the other hand was in his office working on some documents. He looked at the time when he was done and it was ten minutes past the hour 10 p.m. He shut down his laptop and got up from behind his desk. Feeling exhausted, he felt it was time for a cool shower and a sleep. He walked towards his room and slowly pushed the door open. His gaze fell on sleeping Angela and he remembered he had given his room to Angela. He stood at the door staring at her for a while and he exited the room closing the door behind him. He headed for another room in another hallway. He took a shower and changed into something comfortable. He climbed into bed and closed his eyes to sleep. The next morning, Angela woke up to the sound of her alarm. She quickly got ready and found a nice office dress inside the closet. It wasn't one of the clothes she had come with. The dress
