Chapter 18: Murder in the Home

"My poor little angel, I'm so sorry to hear your day went badly," Mrs Anderson said from the other side of the call. "Now, tell. What happened," she asked.

Angela wiped her tears and sniffled before she began to talk. She told Mrs Anderson everything that had transpired in the company including Eva's calls and Bernard bothering her the previous day and in the morning before work.

"Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that. I wish there was something I could do to help," Mrs Anderson said in resignation.

"Mummy, don't worry. I had a choice in all of this. I could have ignored them, and they wouldn't have gotten me, but I got angry. I didn't just get angry, I allowed my anger to take the better part of me. My boss tried to warn me, but I was too angry to listen. Listening to him scold me, I could feel in his voice he did all he could to prevent me from going into such a mess, but I was too stubborn," Angela said, taking the blame.
