Jaclyn's POV

The first time I laid eyes on Natash, she was hiding behind the curtains on the second floor, staring straight at me, her mouth slightly agape with a hint of innocence. The surprise and admiration on my face couldn't be concealed by any means.

Somewhere along the line, the admiration in Natash's eyes began to fade, as if the brightness was slowly diminishing, leaving behind a kind of melancholy close to resignation, just as Tommy Fox described, like a melancholic little woman.

I sighed softly, "Natash Yael, no matter what I've done in the past to hurt or upset you, if I've changed, can you forgive me?"
