I knew Jaclyn Dills had a point. Looking at it practically, it was time to hire a caretaker for home. Despite my father's fluctuating career, he had spent most of his life in comfort. After being attended to for so long, reverting to simplicity would surely be uncomfortable.

Moreover, with my belly growing bigger each day and my father's health not being the best, it was indeed necessary to have someone to look after us. I pondered all night, and the next day, after Jaclyn Dills had left, I discussed it with my father.
