2024-10-30 16:11:07He slowly opened the cage and held out his hand for Melanie, looking into his eyes, it was the first time she saw someone looked at her with different emotion, a look that was different from the disgusting stares she get from people, a look different from the harsh and hateful stares she get, she doesn't know what this new emotions are, but it was the first time someone looked at her like she was not an animal, he made her feel safe, he made her feel like a human being for the first time in her life,
And gently Melanie placed her dirty, bloody cracked hand on his soft and tender one, he slowly pulled her out from the cage, and that's when he saw how she was bending, she wasn't standing straight like a normal human being, she bent like a monkey and she hid her face in fear,
He slowly raise her face as her gaze met his, he couldn't look away from her hazel eyes which held so much pain in them,
The people gathered were all staring in surprise, the other cougars were fuming in anger and jealousy but most of all the Emperor is about to lose his treasure
A man came out from the dark, he was looking so tall and huge, he stretch forth a bag of money to the Emperor
“Who are you?!” The Emperor growled
“A servant of King Balthasar”
“Hmm, how dare you claim what you are not, no one has ever set their eyes on the almighty king Balthasar and a commoner like you dares to frame being a servant of the King Balthasar, guards cuff him!” The Emperor ordered
“And who are you to speak when King Balthasar is standing before you!” A Cold voice emanate from the dark, they all turned to see who it was and was shocked when he came out, the mouthpiece of the King, he's know all over the kingdom for his ruthless and strictness, his name is Abidjan….the mouthpiece of the King
“Your royalty…” The Emperor bowed on his knees including everyone else in the room
Abidjan walked to him and fell on his knees
“Your highness…..”
The whole crowd was shocked as they gasped in surprise, how did the almighty King Balthasar the ruler of the whole North, took an interest on the Cougar dog to even buy her,
King Balthasar gestured for Abidjan to stand and he did, he gave Abidjan a nod, and he took that as an order
“Give him the bag of gold” Abidjan ordered the servant, and he walked to the Emperor and dropped the bag of gold before him
With no other words spoken, King Balthasar hold Melanie's hand as they left the arena, with Abidjan walking beside him and the servant behind them.
They got outside, it was the first time Melanie saw the outside world. She was staring into space, not knowing anything about the world. She has lived as a prisoner all her life, and the only thing she knew was to satisfy young men.
“Get in” The King ordered for her to enter the carriage, but Melanie do not even know how to do that, all she did was look at him without saying a word, the King noticed she didn't understand, he carried her in his arms, shocking his mouthpiece and the servants, they have never seen there King acting that way, not even with his concubines, he carried her into the carriage and got in too as they left.

Back in the hall, the Emperor roared in angered, the cougars were all upsets how can the almighty King Balthasar took a liking on the dirty dog and not them, the whole crowd was in shock as they began to leave one after the other but most of all, the Cougar Emperor refused to let his treasure dog go, he must find a way to get her back.
