In a weak voice, Lexi said, "If it were you at the time, I would've done the same."

She had merely saved Zachary out of reflex. Moreover, if anything happened to Zachary, she couldn't be sure what would happen to Cade's treatment.

She didn't save him out of love, but it seemed like no one believed her.

"The media just likes fallacies."

Maybe it was because Lexi said that she would've done the same for Claude. The man had mostly simmered down after hearing her words.

As a descendant of the Quall family, Claude never expected that he would one day become a married woman's secret lover. For whatever reason, he felt a little jealous.

With that bit of anger left in him, he decided to wait and settle matters with her another day.

"Zachary arranged a flight to send me back to Sootfort tomorrow."

Upon hearing that, Claude smiled. He took his phone out and made a phone call. "Arrange a flight back to Sootfort City tonight."

He hung up. The look in his eyes deepened. "I'll send
