Chapter 54.

Teagan POV.

I wake the sunlight streaming through the open curtains and a gentle sea breeze fills my senses. I look around the unfamiliar room. The walls are white with mirrored furniture. The mirrored four poster bed has sheer white curtains tied to the bedposts. A TV mounted on the wall opposite the foot of the bed. The sheets are white, soft and clean.

Where the hell I am? I sit up and wince as I lean against the headboard. My thigh was killing me from where Antonio stabbed me. My fingers ache as they have been reset and my face feels tight and tender.

I know I probably look like I’ve been hit by a truck, but I’m alive and I have the cartel to thank for getting me out of there.

The door opens and I look at the woman that enters the room. She sees me awake and runs out, no doubt to tell them I’m awake.

There is a photo frame next to the bed and I choke on a sob, looking at it. It was my mom, my dad and me when I was a baby. Their smiling faces were full of happiness, staring back at
