Chapter 62.

Teagan POV.

I enter the garden, and the families are all mingling, drinking and eating their fill. What they are eating and drinking is safe. It is only the men that work for my father that are eating and drinking what I want them to. A poison that will take effect in a few hours. A slow release. I watch and greet the heads of different families.

I watch as men and women enjoy themselves. Even my father is having fun. Do I feel guilty that he will die tonight? I would be lying if I said yes, but part of me isn’t.

I think of all the people who have died because of him and his twisted ways, not just family but innocent people, too. They will get their justice.

I walk around with Marco and Gianni and I know they are tense with what is going to go down. Marco takes me to a hay bale and I sit down on the blanket. Gianni sits next to me.

“Calm down Gianni, loosen up.” I say to him and Marco goes off to do something.

“I really am trying. I can’t be in the same space as him without wanting to
