Everything was ready. Everyone waited anxiously.

Iris had been back for an hour and was getting ready for the coronation. The chest had been opened by her own blood in the tiny bowl-like structure on the ancient chest's lid that absorbed it and opened using the magic in it.

It indeed had contained a gorgeous crown embellished with gemstones she couldn't even name. The crown was magical on its own but the cloth that it was placed on seemed even more magical as it survived the flux of time for hundreds of centuries. It was the robe of the Alpha Queen that the first one ever had worn.
