The word had spread.

Y was expected to make every attempt to stop the procession in the evening. All the shifters across the world were made aware and were welcomed to join the crowning of the next Alpha king of the shifters.

Coronation was sacred to all shifters and was supposed to be done at the ancient ruins of the Temple of The Gods from where the first shifters were said to have originated. They were in the very North, near the pole, and hadn't been used since Elijah was crowned, but after he chose to sleep, the magical crown along with all the rest of the coronation stuff was buried with him to be dug out once the new Alpha King ever emerged.

The day had been agitated; everyone was on edge. Dom and Iris had to retrieve their to-be crowns from the sleeping caves of their predecessors because they were magically sealed in and only someone worthy could retrieve them. This was a task that they had to do themselves. No one could serve them the crowns. They had to earn them themselv
