Morning After
The nights seemed short. Too short for Lina and Eon because ever since they bonded, they were like a pair of rabbits in bed. Eon no longer goes out to check the perimeter. He had delegated the task to his men, letting them work double-time and without rest. But none of them complained.
She rolled to her side but before she could move, she was pulled back to Eon’s arms. She glanced at him and her brows creased because he was asleep!
“Eon,” she elbowed his stomach. “I need to pee.”
He just mumbled but instead of letting her go, he tightened his arms around her and nuzzled her neck. Breathing deeply as though he was inhaling not just her scent, but all of her.
This habit of Eon always gets her nerves every morning. “Eon, I’m telling you, let me go. Now!”

The day seemed to be just any other day. They woke up, hugging each other in bed. She had to beg Eon to let her go so that she could get up and use the toilet. The wind howled in the distance and Lina pressed herself to Eon’s side trying to make herself small. It is one of those times when she doesn’t want to be seen. He had been cracking his knuckles because his anxiety had been built up because Lina had been locked inside the room with Masaya for over twelve hours!His father left because of some important business that he had to deal with, thus, he has been alone, waiting for Lina and Masaya to finish the ritual for over four hours. The wait is driving him insane. He raked his fingers over his hair—the action that had been done so many times for he couldn’t do anything while he waited.This area is off-limits to most members of the pack.
