'Why are you jealous?' Lina bit down the question that she was dying to ask Eon. She doesn't want to be in a relationship where she is the only one that would love. She's tired of being a choice that never got chosen.

Eon watched Lina's expression. When it seemed that she's not going to ask any questions, he rolled to his side, facing her. "Go back to sleep. You need to rest." He reached for her, grazing his knuckles on her cheeks.

"I don't want to sleep."

Eon knitted his brows. He has been watching Lina since she came to Luna. She looked so agitated and jumpy. It came to his mind that she must have taken something but when he wiped away the makeup from her face, he saw the dark circles under her eyes—a clear indication of lack of sleep. He wondered if his words were the ones that kept her awake.

"What do you mean?" He asked because he doesn't want to take her statement in the wrong way. He could interpret her sentence into different meanings, one wou

Eon hurriedly finished his shower. He wanted to find Lina. He usually takes half an hour in the shower, taking his time but today he finished his shower in just five minutes. He roughly wiped his hair with the fluffy towel, put on a pair of jeans that had been washed too many times, and a gray v-neck t-shirt. He threw the towel he used to dry his hair on the way out of his bedroom. The soiled towel landed on the floor, next to the couch. He walked with long, hurried steps to the other half of his penthouse. He confirmed what his wolf said that Lina was still in the building when he smelled the scent of fried egg in the air. 'Did Lina cook breakfast?' [No.] His wolf answered coldly. [What's wrong with you?] He asked with furrowed eyebrows. His wolf has been acting up since he went quiet on him. He still had his brows knitted tightly when he entered the kitchen where Lina was eating on the kitchen island. He scanned the kitchen and found no one.

  • Under The Waning Moon   Never Falling In Love

"You know that you are so annoying, right?" Lina glared at Eon behind the steering wheel. When she finished drying her dress, she bid him goodbye but he insisted on driving her back to her hotel in her annoyance. But Eon wasn’t fazed with her sour mood. He just chuckled lightly at her as if he was amused whenever she glared at him. She doesn’t want to be how she could get rid of him without sounding like an ingrate, she threw her gaze outside the window. “I think it would be best if you don’t come to Luna–” “I have no plan to come back there. Don’t worry!” She snapped at him, stopping his sentence midway. Eon clicked his tongue. “I’m telling you not to come back to Luna for no other reason than, those who kidnapped you, got you there. Until we don’t know who they are and what they want from you…”He stopped the car at the red light. “Let’s play safe and avoid places that were already your routine.” Lina sighed. In her brain, Eon’s explanation m

Eon stood close to Lina when she swiped her card key in her door. He pushed the door wider when he heard the door click. Lina grunted but didn’t say anything. If she says something, a discussion would just ensue. She doesn't want to debate with Eon anymore. She just wanted him to go away, so she could finish packing her stuff and move to her new place. And she can't do that if Eon is hovering over her shoulders. Eon knew that Lina was unhappy with him but he also knew that if he let her do whatever she wanted, she would just run away from him. And he can't afford that to happen. Thus, despite knowing that she doesn't want him to be inside her penthouse, he shamelessly strode inside, ahead of her as if he owns the place. There was nothing out of the ordinary in the place. It has all the luxuries and comforts that you would expect from a penthouse. But what stopped Eon wasn't the luxurious design of the room, nor the pile of clothes that were scattered all over

  • Under The Waning Moon   Running After Her

'We are coming.' Lina shuddered. The three ominous words that were written in red paint in the bathroom mirror kept on replaying in her head. They were like three pairs of eyes, staring at her, looking straight to her soul, telling her to run for they are coming. Her nightmares where a pack of dogs was running after her flashed in her head and she whimpered. She pulled Eon's leather jacket's collar tighter around her neck. His scent that was clinging on the leather gave her comfort. Eon gave her his jacket when she wouldn't stop shaking the moment she saw the words of the people who were after her. Now, he is the one talking to the hotel management about what happened because she couldn't form a coherent sentence. Her words overlapped with each other, her voice shaking as well as her whole body, teeth chattering. He was discussing the missing security footage with the chief of security of the hotel when he heard Lina whimpering and his heart was clenched in h

She has been throwing some tantrums for Eon was dead serious when he said that he would check the place she’s moving into to make sure that it was safe for her to stay. The reason why she was moving was to stay away from him and to try to change her lifestyle but now that he’s coming to see the house she’s renting, the main purpose of her move would be useless. Her deathly glare was returned with a chuckle and a wide smile that has been driving her insane for the last hour. • Under The Waning Moon   Taking Her Home

Eon walked around Lina's apartment, surveying every nook which wasn't much since the place was quite small compared to penthouses where she used to stay. "Why did you stop staying in a hotel?" "And how did you know that I stay in a hotel?" She crocked her eyebrow. "I heard from Larissa," Eon turned his back to Lina for he was caught off guard with her question. He was just so curious about the sudden move that Lina did that he couldn't help but ask. "I didn't expect you to be a nosy brother." She scoffed. Eon exhaled a relieved sigh with what he heard because Larissa didn't tell him anything. He just lied because he was guilty that he had Lina investigated. And as much as possible, he didn't want her to know that piece of information. He casually walked to the threshold leading to the garden and put a miniature camera in a small crack on the wall. Since Lina refused any of his men to be around her, she even asked them to leave right af

The sound of the glass crashing the marble floor broke the silence of the room like a booming sound. The sound of the shattered glass was followed by explicit curses from Eon. Ehann stood rigidly next to the door, he was unmoving for he knew Eon's temper. He needed to release his anger first before he would talk. Thus, Eon is dangerous when he's angry. He let his rage consume him, his wolf taking over. The reason for Eon's outburst was the report of the investigation regarding Lina's kidnapping. The photos that were included in the report show Nikolas and his brother. Not only did the bastard bring drugs inside Luna when he knew that it was one of his rules not to, now he kidnapped Lina inside his club. "How accurate is this information?" Eon picked up the folder of documents that Ehann brought him first thing in the morning about the group that attempted to abduct Lina. "It's 99 percent accurate. They are the new group that has been trying to throw u

  • Under The Waning Moon   A Life Ahead

Lina was on her nth cup of coffee and she was on the last box of her stuff to open and fix. She had a good idea of what to do with her clothes because of what she did with the majority of them. When she checked her app on the online store, she got a lot of messages from those who already bought her old clothes, asking if she had more. Because of it, she dug into her clothes once again, separating all the clothes that she could sell, and ended up with almost seventy percent of her clothes to be sold. She left a message to her buyers that she had more clothes but she was currently indisposed that she would get back to posting new clothes after two days. What she did was throw in the empty boxes the clothes that she would sell and push them at the corner of the room. Her closet was left with lots of empty spaces and the thought of shopping for new clothes was enough to fuel her enthusiasm to have those clothes she no longer wanted to be sold online. The money she got, t

Lina woke up from the feeling of warm water gently splashing on her skin. When she opened her eyes, she saw Eon in deep concentration, washing her naked body in the tub. She looked to her right and noticed that they were in their own cabin. “Hey, welcome back.” He grinned, caressing her cheek. “What happened?” She asked in confusion. Eon had the audacity to smirk and arch his brow. “Well, sweetheart, I could remind you what exactly had happened,” he said in the soft tone of voice, flicking her nipple that was peeking on the water. “What a jerk!” She cupped some water in her hands and threw it to Eon’s face to wipe the smug expression on it. “You were asking,” he chuckled, wiping the water off his face as he stood up and started removing his clothes and without a word stepped inside the tub with her. He took the other end, opposite from her. He had his knees bent but his legs were wide open. Lina swallowed, and the thought of crawling in between his legs, to settle in the comfort

The murky water of the swamp rippled and then became calm again as if nothing had happened. The silver moon was high in the night sky and the gentle breeze blew as they all stood at the bank, watching the swamp in silence. The wedding bouquet that Lina threw in the water could no longer be seen in the dark. She stepped closer to Eon’s side who automatically opened his arm to enfold her.“Eon, Lina, we have to go. Thank you for inviting us to your wedding.” Briare’s voice broke the silence between them.“Thank you for coming for such short notice,” Eon replied, extending his hand for a handshake then realized that Lina was like a small chick under his right arm, that he had to move to his left and again offered his hand for a shake to Briare. “Hope to still see you at Luna,” he added.Briare smiled at Eon’s invitation but in his eyes was sadness that Eon could not help but wonder what this man had been

I couldn’t believe that you’re going to pull this kind of shit!” She slapped Eon’s shoulder as her eyes looked around the familiar path to the cliff that was decorated with white flowers. She wondered when Eon prepared all of it.“Baby, please, say yes and hurry because we are running after the sunset,” he laughed in amusement with the disbelief on Lina’s face.“Okay!” She laughed. Lina needs another woman to be her maid of honor and since you’re already my best man, your mate would be just perfect.”Elyon's glee was abruptly wiped off his face. “Dude, this mate thing…is quite—” He cocked his head to the side because he was lost for words and helplessly stared at Eon. “Was it really this hard?”Eon glanced at Ehann before returning his gaze to Elyon. “If you’re asking if it was really that hard to breathe without her next to you…then the answer is yes.” He laughed. “You’re screwed big time since it includes always wanting to be inside her.”Ehann, who was

Because of how overbearing he was with a smug look on his face to be able to catch her in surprise with her breakfast request, served in bed and the second factor was him, calling himself her husband. It does tickle her fancy. She definitely likes the sound of it. ‘Her husband.’ However, they aren’t married and they haven’t talked about marriage at all. They talked about children but a wedding was a topic that they haven’t touched. She didn’t know if it was avoided or just that they didn’t think about it. Thus, now that Eon is calling himself her

When Lina came out of the bathroom, Alpha Aaron was no longer in the cabin. “Where is your father?” She asked, scanning the room. She came out of the bathroom wearing lounge pants and a sweater. She had no idea whose clothes she was wearing but they were comfortable. The perfect wear for the cold mountain night. “He had to leave because the Alpha of Lykanthos was caught and brought here.” “Oh,” she said with a sharp intake of breath. “You aren’t going to—” She had no idea what Eon should or could do. He shook his head and opened his arms and she strolled inside them and pressed her cheek on her chest. “We are just guests here. Whatever business they have, they will settle them on their own. Besides, why would I want to meet another egoistic Alpha when I have a beautiful woman in my arms?” He whispered over her head, rubbing her back. That he was just keeping it together but he had to take care of a lot of things and be able to make a sensible decision for the well-being of all the wolves of the Deep Forest pack. He has never been so amazed and admired his father than today. And now, he had to make another hard decision. After Eon and Ehann had a really good laugh because their premonition of Elyon having a mate twenty years his junior just happened. All the while the two were splitting their sides with laughter, she just watched them in amusement. It’s another side of Eon that she had witnessed.
