Chapter 720

Xavier's thin lips pressed into a tight line, the corners of his mouth drawn taut. He stopped arguing with Yvette and tried to get up from the bed again, intending to leave.

Seeing this, Yvette stood up as well. "Thought it over? Let's go to the hospital."

Xavier ignored her. As he continued forward, he inevitably bumped into some of the room's furnishings.

"There's a wall ahead!" Just as he was about to hit the wall, Yvette called out to stop him.

Xavier paused, then began feeling his way toward the door. Yvette walked over and grabbed his hand.

If it had been the old Xavier, he would have shaken her off in disdain. But for some reason, he didn't mind her touch now. What was even more surprising was that it felt like the blood in his arm froze the moment she touched him.

Xavier couldn't understand why he was feeling this way.

Yvette pulled him forward rather roughly, opened the door, and led him out.
