However, Yvette remained silent as he stayed by Noah's side, tightly holding his hand. She was worried that he might leave her just like that.

Xavier lost his patience while waiting for her to speak up. "Come out with me," he said.

Yvette looked up at him, knowing that she had to deal with this. She followed him out of the ward. The two of them stood outside in the dark night alone.

"Don't you have anything to tell me?" Xavier asked.

Yvette lowered her head and replied, "I have nothing to say—you've done your investigations after all."

Xavier chuckled coldly upon hearing her words. His fists clenched tight as he asked, "You kept my sons away from me for five whole years. You even deceived me by saying that they were someone else's children. And now, you only have this to say?"

Yvette did not regret her previous decision. Her eyes were rimmed red when she asked, "If I hadn't left after I got pregnant, would you even have let me keep them?"

"You're telling me it's my fault then?"
