CHAPTER 5

Nadina was scared as she sat at the back of the van driving to the North.

Her breathe hitched in fear as she thought of what her new life would look like. Nadina sat on the floor of the van sobbing as her life flashed before her eyes.

She remembered when she lived with her parents and grand-parents, when they had a good life and she wasn’t an omega.

She didn’t have any scars on her neck and she was just the grand-daughter of the alpha.

She remembered her first rejection and how bad it hurt, then her parents were still alive she passed out and was in the hospital for a week with her mother by her side. She remembered crying for the rest for the rest of that month.

Then she started getting better and decided to go far the pack’s party, there she met her second mate, alpha Marcel and she was hopeful. She thought he would at least consider her current condition and love her, but her hope was shattered when he rejected almost immediately in front of everyone, it was less painful but the humiliation scarred her and when she found out Ivan was her mate she thought, they were child hood friends he won’t reject her.

Oh, she was wrong, he rejected her and treated her like trash. Constantly reminding her that her life was worth nothing and finally he made her surrender herself for the pack.

She closed her eyes and cried. She cried bitterly for her past self who just died on the battle field and for her new self who was now entirely numb and was only living because she hadn’t found a chance to die.

She opened her eyes and wiped away her tears and smiled. I will start over again. I will start a new life, she thought as she smiled.

They finally got to the northern pack and the van stopped in front of the alpha’s house. They opened the van and took her out to meet the alpha.

As soon as she entered the alpha’s house a scent hit her, it was a mixture of rain and cedar and her wolf purred.

“No, this can’t be happening again! No please no, not now. Moon goddess please.” Nadina said with trembling lips.

“Axel what is going on? Why are you suddenly so restless,” Killian asked his wolf.

“Outside! Outside!” his wolf said excitedly. He could not control his body anymore because his wolf took over and ran to the entrance of the house.

A gasp left his mouth as he saw her, he had never seen as woman as beautiful as her. Yes, her skin was stained with blood but she still look so beautiful.

“Mine!” Axel growled in his mind.

“Ours,” he responded with a smile as he walked towards her. she sensed his presence and raised her head looking directly into his eyes.

His heart beat quickened and he almost lost his step as he felt weak in his knees.

With her blue eyes looking at him he forgot to breathe and soon he was standing in front of her feeling suddenly aware of his environment.

“Mate!” they both said.

Nadina suddenly felt like she could not breathe the reality of what just happened dawning on her, she suddenly started experiencing a terrible panic attack.

“What is going on?” Everyone around was shocked by what their alpha just said.

Nadina wasn’t getting enough air and she fainted.

“Call the doctor immediately,” Killian shouted as he carried her immediately to avoid her falling to the floor.

He carried her to his room, while everyone stared confused at each other.

“Mother,” Nadina said.

“Dear child, why are you here?” Her mother asked.

“I want to be with you and father, mother I am tired of being by myself please let me stay with you.”

“Why? Don’t you like where you are?’

“No, mother I want to stay with you. I am very lonely and staying without my family is not easy. Mother, please let me stay with you. This feels like home,” Nadina said to her mother.

“Where is father and my grand-parents?” Nadina asked as she walked down the lake with her mother.

“They are all at home, you want to see them?”

“Yes,” she nodded as she walked into the finely furnished house with her mother.

“Doctor what is going on?! Why is her body getting colder by the minute? Do something!” Killian shouted.

“We are trying our best alpha, it is her. she doesn’t want to come back.

I can feel years of trauma radiating from her, I think she has hit her limit, she can wake up willing or decide never to come back.” The doctor said.

“What?” Killian said his heart beating too loud.

“Do you mean she may never wake up?” He asked scared of the answer.

“It is highly possible alpha,” the doctor said cautiously.

Killian decided to go for a run, he ran outside and shifted into Axel and ran into the woods.

“Nadina we are sorry,” her grand-parents held on to her hands.

“We caused this life for you and we are sorry but you cannot stay here you have to go back. You have met your fated, please go back.”

“No, I don’t want to. He will reject me too and I don’t think I can handle another rejection. Seline can’t handle it.”

“My dear child you are stronger than you think, you have a lot of things to do and if you leave Killian now, he will self-destruct. Please go back.”

“I can’t promise you it will be easy but it will be worth it. Go back now child.”

Everywhere started to turn into a white light and Nadina gasped opening her eyes.
