EMILY'S POV 

 "Where's she?" I asked already getting anxious 

"Relax we'll find her, let's just look around" Nessa replied

"Right, before I forget, I'm meeting up with Logan for dinner" i told her as we kept looking around for Kim and her boyfriend

"hmm are you guys like a thing now or something?" She asked teasingly but earned a look from me 

"What!!! You guys hangout more often this days than usual, so I'm free to think whatever i want"

"We're just friends I keep telling you that, and besides yesterday yiuyou had your little time out with your guy friend David" I said making air quotes on the guy friend 

"Seriously? We... I mean i brought you takeouts on my way back, it's not like i forgot about you or something"

"Tell me about it?" I replied sarcastically

"What i should be telling you about is that you guys should use protection before entering yourselves" She said and gave a mouthful of laughter

"How dare..."

"Here there are" She said cutting me off my statement as she located where Kim sat 

"An nyeong ha se yo"

"An nyeong ha se yo" Both of them said simultaneously 

"Huh?" I and Nessa said confused which made them laugh

"We just said 'good afternoon' in Korean" Kim clarified 

"Oh..."Nessa and i both chorused 

"Well hi there, I've seen you around in my department but never approached, nice meeting you... You look cute by the way"I concluded

"Gam sa ham mi da" he said  with a little bow 

"Seriously?" I lamented frustratedly

"Now what did he say?" Nessa asked

"He's..." 

"I just said thank you so much, you know, for the compliment" Park cut Kim off at the middle of her sentence

"Oh okay" I replied

"I thought you couldn't speak English, cause you were always replying in Korean" Vanessa stated

"Hello? I school in WSU, why would i leave Seoul to come down here if i couldn't speak nor understand English" He questioned 

"Good point" I said thoughtfully 

"I just like using it on people who i just met for the first time, so they might think i don't speak English, just like you guys now, FYI it worked" He said again laughing

"And i could as well use it whenever i wanna cuss someone, you know, so they won't understand, that's my edge" He had an evil smirk on while saying that

"Just don't use it on me cause I could do the same thing in Spanish" I said

"You speak Spanish?" Both Kim and Park asked simultaneously

"Well yeah, I'm actually from Spain, Nessa didn't tell you?" I asked and faced her 

"Oh don't give me that look, it might have slipped my mind" She said, going back to her fries and smoothie that faced everyone of us 

"Logan?" Vanessa said in surprise as we drove into our driveway and saw him standing by the corner

"Hey, it's been a while i saw you, you're busy with Emily most of the time now and we don't hangout" Nessa said, and i caught a smile on his face, Vanessa saw it as well  i think

"That's what i actually came to fix" He replied

"How do you ..." 

"I and my friends are throwing a frat party this Friday, which is tomorrow, so i came by to invite you both, but you should see them first"  

"Where" Came my question

"My place, i told them i wanna go get a couple of friends, so they're waiting there"

"But we just got back, shouldn't we..." 

"Of cause we're going Nessa, remember you said you wanna catch up?" I tried convincing her 

"Well yeah, but ..."

"But nothing, Logan let's go" I commanded cutting her off

"You gotta stop doing that Mily?"Nessa said

"Doing what?" I asked obviously

"Cutting me off, it annoys me" She plainly stated 

"Okayyyy, let's hop in" Logan said referring to his car

"Why do i feel like you want this more than i do?" Vanessa asked with a questioning look which left unanswered  as we drove away.

"Guys I'm back" Logan voiced as he approached his friends in the lounge

"Took you long enough" One of the guys said

"Are this the chics you talked about?" a blonde guy asked

"Yea, this is Vanessa and this is Emily" He introduced us both to his clique 

"Nice, the Emily you've always been talking about huh?" A guy with a dark low hair asked, which made him widen his eyes a bit 

"Oh come on Alex, i don't talk about her that much" 

"Is it just me or am I sensing something going on between you two" Vanessa then asked which i opposed to

"Of cause it's just you"

"Nope, not just her, the air seems a bit foggy between you two" A dark girl with full curly hair, who had a slender body posture, tall and has big bust, she looked African and she was approaching us 

"Hi, I'm Gwen" She said and stretched out her hands toward Vanessa who reached for it, then did the same for me

"He's a keeper, trust me" she told me as she shook me 

"Not you too Gwen" Logan lamented 

"Sorry, already at it" She replied, which left me with a small laugh

"Come on, you girls should have a drink"  a long blonde hair guy stretched two cups to us as well sat 

"Cole, i hope that's not vodka?" 

"Chillax Log, they won't be driving anyways" He said comfortably 

"Well Alex, since you cut me off my introduction, let me continue" Logan said still standing

"Vanessa, Emily, meet Alexander, Cole, Gwen, Todd and Claire, Claire's Todd girlfriend and you two already know Chad right, he traveled for the weekend, so no need for his intro"  Logan meticulously listed 

"You girls are like freshers right?" Claire said with some sorta scornful tone 

"Well it's our second semester so we're not longer freshers" Nessa said exactly what i could have said which made everyone let out an "Oooohhh" reaction

"You're still technically freshers" She said still trying to stand her ground

"Babe that's enough, you're still in your second year too remember" Todd defended

"So you just wanna take her side now huh!"She said, huffed and dashed off 

"I'm so sorry for that" Tod said and looked directly at Nessa before chasing after her 

"Is she always like that?" I asked this time

"She's a bit insecure"Gwen voiced out and got a look from everyone

"What, isn't it the truth?" She asked rhetorically but no one answered

VANESSA'S POV

 "What's up with you and Todd" Emily asked from my side 

"What do you mean by that" I asked

"He came back and had a chat with you, soon after Claire left" She said further and i saw Logan throw a glance at us from the rearview 

"He just apologized for Claire's behavior, that's all" I said plainly

"Are you 100% sure, cause I'm pretty sure i heard laughter coming from you both" She persisted

"Mily don't be delusional, we just met today and besides he has a girlfriend" 

"That Gwen said is insecure remember" she said again

"And how does that concern me, i don't have ..."

"You know she's right about that" Logan voiced out interrupting me, eyes still fixed on the rearview, which faced us both 

"I noticed something between you two, but don't let it get out, cause Claire can act like a psycho atimes" he said again

"Of cause you'll be on her side, don't know what you two are playing at but what i wanna know is when you two would stop the pretence of not likeing eachother, i know something's definitely going on" I said, smirked and got down from his car cause we were already at our apartment building

"I wanna say something" i told Emily as i laid on my bed to sleep and she gave me a go ahead look

"I would be taking a week off, next week" 

"Why" Came her question

"I wanna visit Seattle" I simply said, but got a weird look from her

"Nothing personal, just wanna go say Hi" 

"And you can do that on phone? Something's up, tell me, wait is your Mum sick?"

"Jeez, why would you suggest that, of cause not" I corrected

"Then just spit it out"

"Remember what you said the other day about Mrs Caroline? Well i just wanna prove you wrong and clear my thoughts"

"That's why you wanna travel all the way to Seattle?" She asked looking bewielded 

"Isn't that enough reason, and why are you making it sound far, it's not like I'm traveling to another continent am I?" I asked again but she didn't give any answer immediately and i was already feeling super sleepy, so i think i dosed off  after that 

"Vanessa hurry up, it's few minutes before the party starts and we're still at home" Emily complained

"Good thing we aren't the ones throwing it right?" I asked simultaneously as i came out to reveal my  outfit

"What do you think? Too revealing?"

"Perfect" She said to the cream coloured spagetti party dress i wore, my cleavage was visible down to the upper part of my breast cause i didn't put on a bra 

"Alright, let's go" Emily said, literally dragging me out as i took my purse 

"Ladies welcome, you two look ravishing" Cole said politely, which seemed really weird cause he's always the rough type. He then led us to a different corner of the room where the others sat, they adjusted a bit so we could fit in the couch, Emily sat beside Logan and i sat beside her, i was actually adjacent to Todd who sat with Claire 

"Great" I said inwardly

"Who's up for a game" Alex said raising his voice above the music 

"Drunk Jenga" Cole suggested which we all agreed to and re-arrenged ourselves, surprisingly Todd was beside me and Claire at his other side 

"This would be fun" I muttered inaudibly.
