LOGINChapter Two
Rina. "Y..you?" Her hands shook with rage as she took a step closer to the bed "what's going on? What the hell are you doing in my husband's room?!" Her fists clenched as she glared at Rina and remembered how Laura had admonished her to keep Rina away from her grandson. And now, Damien had gone and brought her into their home. She had failed Laura. Rina stared at Lana mischievously, her rosy pink lips curving into a smirk. Lana's palm itched to wipe that smirk off her face. She looked around the room, taking in the sight, slowly. The room was dimly lit from the chandelier above, which cast a faint glow around the room. Rina's hair looked disheveled and her complexion was flushed. There were clothes strewn about the floor of the room and a faint musty smell hung in the air. As Lana tried to make her brain understand whatever it is that was going on, Damien walked out of the bathroom. His golden locks, was wet and stuck to his forehead. He stopped when he saw Lana and his face darkened with a huge frown "What the hell do you think you're doing in here?" He growled and immediately Rina heard his voice, she ran to him and gave him a tight embrace, her entire body shaking, seemingly from fear. "Dami, I'm scared!" Lana felt like vomiting as she watched Damien's arms go round Rina in a tight embrace. He looked down into her face as he mumbled softly, "It's okay, I'm here. Don't be scared" he kissed the top of her head and the smile disappeared from his face as he glanced up back at Lana. He failed to see the sinister smile which Rina was giving Lana as she rubbed her cheeks against his hard chest. "Damien" Lana closed her eyes, in an effort to remain calm but it was very hard "What's she doing here?." "That's none of your fricking business! Get out of my room!" Damien still held on to Rina as though she was a little child, scared of the noise. "I want her out of my house this instant!" Lana retaliated, her voice shaking with emotion as she took another step forward " I will not have your little mistress under my roof!." Something flashed before her eyes and before she could realize it, Damien's hard palm had landed on her face. Twang! Lana reeled from the force of the slap and she landed on the floor, stunned. She reached to touch her reddened cheeks with trembling hands, and her eyes stung with unshed tears as she looked up at Damien who was glaring at her on the floor. His chest was heaving as he tried to calm down. "Don't you dare call her that, you conniving bitch!" He pointed a finger at her and almost spat at her "I've had enough of you. Your face makes me sick. You disgust me, Lana, just fricking go to hell!." Lana could see Rina standing behind him, her hands over her mouth seemingly in shock but her eyes were filled with glee. She was definitely enjoying the show and the look on her face was enough for Lana. She shakily stood up, determined never to back down in front of them. "Hell?! I'll make you see hell if you don't get that bitch out of my house!" She fired back, standing her ground although she was trembling all over from the emotions which were choking her Damien smirked, and his beautiful eyes glittered with disdain. "What are you going to do?" He walked back to Rina and gently led her to the bed. She continued hugging him, even though they were sitting. "Run to my grandma? To deceive her all the more?! Too bad she's out of the country. At least she won't get to see your conniving and hateful face!" "What are you talking about?" Lana was shaking with anger and she could not fathom what Damien was saying. She also could not stand Lana caressing her husband's chest. 'I said, get this bitch out!" At this, Damien stood up and walked to his desk and pressed a button. Soon, a guard appeared. "Ma'am, please come with me" The guard's eyes were apologetic as he held on to Lana's arm trying to lead her out but she shrugged out of his grip. "I said, get out!" She walked towards Rina and grabbed her arm, ready to throw her out. Rina shrieked, calling out to Damien, and Damien immediately pushed Lana to the floor again, cradling Rina in his arms. Lana fell to the floor, her abdomen suddenly on fire. She clutched her stomach and gasped loudly. "Get her out of my house! I do not want to see her face!" Damien thundered at the guard who immediately sprang into action, and roughly dragged Lana outside. Lana was limp with the pain and when the guard unceremoniously dumped her in front of the house, she called for her driver immediately. "Diego...to the hospital, quick" Lana gasped as the driver immediately placed her in the car, before hurrying to start the engine. She could not let anything happen to her baby. Lana's whole body was engulfed with pain but it was not like the aching in her heart. Her eyes stung with tears which spilled over and rolled down her cheeks She wailed, unmindful of the driver who looked at her in distress. "Ma'am, please stop crying, everything would be o...oh shit!" Diego yelled suddenly as a huge dump truck came at the car from a side road. He swerved sharply to avoid an impact and the car was thrown off the road and it careened straight into a tree by the side of the road. And then, there was a deafening silence. Before the car crashed into the tree, Lana was already unconscious, her head on the headrest in front of her. Slowly, blood trickled down her legs, staining her white dress and the seat which she sat on.Chapter Five Hundred And Sixty-TwoThe taxi drove through the rain down to the Romero Villa. From time to time, the driver would make sure he checked on Damien to see if he was still alive. He could not really tell, however.Damien was in the same position since they left the car crash site. His head was resting on the head rest and his eyes were closed. The only time the driver could be sure that he was still alive was when he looked closer to see the slow rise and fall of his chest. The driver would then say his thanks, and stepped on the gas so as to get the Romero Villa on time.It was a long way from where he’d picked up his strange passenger. Hell, it was not even in the same direction in which he had been going. The man was definitely lost, and the driver was determined to get him to the Romero Villa, so he knew he’d gotten the man out of harm’s way.Only then would he be able to wash his hands off the case. When he gets to the Romero Villa, he would drop this strange man off a
Chapter Five Hundred And Sixty-OneDamien walked out of the company, calling for his car immediately. His head was still pounding but he gritted his teeth and concentrated hard on his driving. He had to find Lana Fernandez and end this bizarre situation tonight, and he was not going to let a measly headache prevent him from doing this.He continued driving, not knowing where he was going but he kept on going.Overhead, the sky was filled with gray clouds and there were faint flashes of lightning and the distant rumblings of thunder. It looked like a heavy storm was on its way.Damien didn’t actually notice until the first pitter patter of rain drops landed on his car. His headache was getting worse and he was finding it hard to see the road on which he was driving. The flashbacks were not helping matters as well.Images filled his head. No, not images.Memories.Of himself, that woman, and several other people that he could not place. He remembered his parents, his grandmother, but m
Chapter Five Hundred And Sixty“Where the fuck are you?”Maya winced at Damien’s icy tone. She swallowed hard, glancing nervously at Hilda, who nodded and asked her to reply him.Maya took a deep breath, “Hey Damien. Where else would I be? I’m at the office.” She answered a little too brightly, trying to put a little spirit into her voice, “Is everything okay?”“You’re…” Damien scoffed in disbelief, “…at the office?”“Yes.”“At MAGIC?”Maya hesitated, her heart beating loudly in her ears as she stammered in answer, “Y…yes. Why do you ask?”God, could it be that Damien was at MAGIC currently? And he’d seen that she wasn’t at the office and was only calling to confirm? She started panicking immediately, making frantic gestures to Hilda to help her.Hilda was worried as well. She gestured with her hands, making a calming movement.Maya was breathing hard, but she decided to calm down. She might be wrong after all and Damien was only just calling to confirm if she had gone to the office l
Chapter Five Hundred And Fifty-NineMaya was pacing up and down her room when Damien’s call came through. She panicked immediately and threw the phone to Hilda, afraid to even look at it for a second.“But Miss, you don’t even know what it is he has to say,” Hilda reminded her.“No!” Maya barked at her, “He’s definitely calling because he’s discovered that I’m not the real Lana Fernandez. He’s definitely going to abandon me.”“Now how would the chairman know that?” Hilda uttered, trying to give her the phone, “It’s not like he’s going to hear anything about it.”Maya stoped at once. Eying Hilda warily, “What do you mean?” She asked as she breathed hard, “How could he not hear anything about it? It’s all over the freaking internet!”The phone had stopped ringing by now, but the screen suddenly flashed against as another call came on.It was still Damien calling.Maya groaned and gripped her hair in frustration, flopping on her bed with tears of anger in her eyes. The entire day had bee

Chapter Five Hundred And Fifty-Eight.Damien stared at her, his blue-gray eyes boring into her green ones. For some reason, he knew that she was damn serious about what she just said. She did not give a damn fuck about the company, and if he did run her out and she turned out to be the real Lana Fernandez sent by the Queen, then he’d be in big trouble. And so would MAGIC.They stared at each other for a long while and Damien’s head was blank. He could see the hurt in her eyes and the way her body trembled slightly as she stood before him.He wondered if he was the one making her react that way or if she was that way because of guilt.Lana had had enough of him.She brushed past him and was walking towards the elevator when his hands shot out, and grabbed her by the arm before she could go very far.“Wait!” He uttered tightly.Lana stopped, eying him warily, “What do you want?”Damien’s head was still blank. He did not know why he’d reached out for her and now he could only swallow har
