Alpha Grayson gently released Evelyn from his arms, the pack members who were around them whispered amongst themselves, awestruck by the scene unfolding before them.

"Thank you, Alpha Grayson," Evelyn murmured, feeling her cheeks burn in embarrassment.

“Where were you rushing off to? Trying to avoid me?” Alpha Grayson whispered in Evelyn's ear.

“No, I was not, I just wanted to…erm..to…” Evelyn stuttered.

“You wanted to do what?” Grayson asked.

“The pack members are watching us,” Evelyn said.

“Walk with me,” Grayson said, clearing his throat.

Evelyn rolled her eyes, dragging her feet to follow Alpha Grayson as he started walking.

“I am sorry about what happened the other time. I didn't know what those flowers meant to you,” Evelyn apologized.

“I should be the one apologizing,” Grayson said.

“Why?” Evelyn asked, taken aback by Grayson's words.

“You are new in the pack, you don't know what I like and dislike. I shouldn't have reacted that way,” Grayson said.

“No, I understand. It must h

Evelyn entered the house and was surprised to see the whole house disorganized. “Lisa,” She called out, a little bit scared. She gently tried to find her way around the broken objects on the floor. She was mindful of her steps as she walked towards the room to check on Lisa. Suddenly, Lisa appeared before her in a disheveled state, her clothes torn and her hair untidy. She launched an attack on Evelyn with her claws, scratching and drawing out blood from her arm. “Ouch,” Evelyn cried out in pain and quickly backed away from Lisa. “What was that for, Lisa?” Evelyn asked, in shock. "Grayson is mine, Grayson is mine," Lisa whispered under her breath as she advanced menacingly towards Evelyn, aiming to strike her across the face. Evelyn dodged the attack, sending Lisa flying in the air and landing on the floor with a thud. “My goodness, Lisa, do not injure yourself. Think about your pup, What is happening to you?” Evelyn cried out. Lisa stood up letting out a maliciou

Evelyn slowly parted her eyelids as the dawn's light illuminated her face. She had spent the night at the square after she had run away from Lisa. Her mind flashed back to the events of the previous day, Grayson's warning and Lisa's attack on her.She sat up and noticed her cloth was rumpled. She needed to take a warm bath and change her clothes before the start of activities for the day. She could not afford the pack members to see her in a disheveled state. However, she was at a total loss on what to do, she could not go back to Lisa's house to change her clothes and she had no other place to go to.“Should I go to Grayson?” She thought in her heart.“You might run into Diana and you would not want to start explaining what had happened, she will not believe you,” Viola chipped in.“What should I do? It is a big day, I cannot appear like this before the pack members,” Evelyn sadly said.“Stand up,” Viola said.“Why?” Evelyn asked.“Just do as I say,” Viola insisted.“Alright,” Evely

I didn't push you, Lisa, you threw yourself down” Evelyn cried out in dismay."How could I throw myself down when I know I'm with a child? It doesn't make sense. Yesterday, you threatened that I would never bear Alpha Grayson's pup and that you would make me regret getting pregnant for your mate. You left the house in a fit of anger after causing havoc everywhere. I came to apologize and clarify things, but you pushed me," Lisa explained, her hand gripping her stomach tightly as more blood seeped out.The pack members shared glances with one another, taken aback by Lisa's revelation about being pregnant with Gra

“Why are you locking her up?” Kyle protested as Beta Luke led Evelyn away.“Can't you see I am doing that to protect her until I get to the bottom of this? Do you want the wolves to lynch her, can't you see how agitated they are?” Grayson retorted sharply.“The party is over, return to your houses. Beta Luke and I will investigate this matter and decide on what to do,” Alpha Grayson said, addressing the pack members. The wolves let out a sad howl, expressing their discontent with the way the festival celebration had ended. One by one, they began to depart from the square, whispering amongst themselves about how Alpha Grayson must be truly cursed for all these events to be befalling him.“Take Lisa away. Give her all the necessary medications to ensure she is okay,” Grayson said to Diana and left the square for the cell. Grayson stormed out of the cell and communicated with Diana through the mind link as he made his way out.“Where are you?” He asked."I am at home. Why do you ask?" Diana responded."Is Lisa with you?" Grayson inquired.“No, she is in her house,” Diana replied."Did you leave a sick person alone in her house all by herself?" Grayson asked, his tone filled with suspicion.“She insisted that she would like to go to her house. She said she doesn't want to go to the hospital or come to my house so I took her home and gave her some drugs that will help with the pain and make her sleep,” Diana explained.“And you left her alone,” Grayson queried.“I came home to get some food and clothes. The night stretched on as Grayson, Nix, and Luke kept their vigil by the burnt remains of Jerry’s car. The fire had long since dwindled, leaving only smoldering embers and charred metal. None of them spoke much, the weight of the night’s events keeping them silent. As the first rays of dawn broke through the trees, Grayson exhaled deeply, his sharp gaze still fixed on the wreckage. “It’s over,” he said quietly, his voice laced with finality. “Jerry’s gone.”Nix stretched his arms, yawning. “I’ll admit, I didn’t think the bastard would ever meet his end. But seeing this… yeah, he’s not crawling out of that one.”Luke grinned, patting Grayson on the back. “Well done, Alpha. That was one hell of a chase. I’ll never doubt your driving skills again.”Grayson smirked, finally stepping away from the ashes. “Let’s get back. We’ve been out here long enough.”They walked back to the car, the adrenaline of the night fading into exhaustion. Grayson slid into the driver’s seat, Nix and Luke ho

The roar of an engine pierced through the forest as Jerry sped down the dirt path, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. His eyes darted to the rearview mirror, scanning the darkness for any signs of pursuit. The night was thick, cloaked in shadows, and the dim headlights of his car barely illuminated the uneven forest trail. His pulse raced. He thought he had escaped until the unmistakable hum of another engine reached his ears, faint but growing louder.“Damn it,” Jerry cursed under his breath, glancing at the mirror again. The faint gleam of headlights in the distance confirmed his fears. “Can this bastard drive?” He muttered to himself. He slammed his foot on the accelerator, the car jerking forward as it sped along the rugged path.In the car behind, Grayson’s hands were steady on the wheel, his sharp eyes cutting through the night like a predator stalking its prey. Beta Luke led the group, his sharp eyes scanning the ground for any sign of movement or disturbance.Alpha Nix followed closely, his keen senses on high alert, with their men fanned out behind them.“Anything yet?” Nix asked, his voice steady but laced with urgency.“Not a damn thing,” one of the guards replied, frustration evident in his tone. “It’s like they vanished into thin air.”“They didn’t vanish,” Luke said sharply, crouching to inspect a patch of broken twigs. “They’re just good at covering their tracks. Keep looking. They can’t have gotten far.”Another guard called out from a few meters away. “Beta, over here! I think I’ve found something.”Luke and Nix moved quickly to the source of the voice.
