“What?!” Diana's eyes widened as conflicting emotions stirred within her. On one hand, she felt joy that her brother would finally have a pup, but on the other hand, she feared he might reject Lisa and the pup.
Diana quickly opened the door to her office and ushered Lisa inside. She scanned the corridor to ensure that no one was within earshot of their conversation.
She closed the door when she was sure no one was there and made Lisa sit in a chair, she sat in front of her.
“Are you sure of what you are saying, Lisa?” Diana asked.
“I am Diana, why would I lie about something of this magnitude?” Lisa confirmed.
Diana paced her office as she thought about the situation at hand. She looked at her friend and could see that she was so worried. Why would she not be? Grayson had discarded her and now she found himself carrying his pup. What if he rejects the pup too?
Diana walked back to her friend, enveloping her in a comforting embrace, she solemnly said to her, “I swear by the Moon Goddess, I will make Grayson accept this pup.”
“Are you sure you can convince him?” Lisa asked.
“I will try my best to and if I cannot, I will report him to the council of elders,” Diana reassured.
“Council of elders! Oh no, Diana, that will make him hate me more,” Lisa exclaimed.
“Do you want to give birth to a bastard pup?” Diana inquired.
“No, please. I don't want to,” Lisa pleaded.
“Then leave everything to me, okay?” Diana said.
“Oh thank you, Diana. I knew I could count on you” Lisa said.
“Of Course, you can count on me,” Diana said, laughing as she lifted Lisa's face and added, “Now I want you to cheer up, don't look so gloomy. You know that will not be good for the pup you are carrying.”
Lisa nodded in agreement, wiping away her tears as a faint smile appeared on her lips.
“Now that's good girl, you are carrying my niece or nephew so I have to ensure you are always in good condition,” Diana said.

Evelyn woke with a start, her eyes widening in surprise as she found herself in a hospital bed. "Where am I?" she wondered, her heart racing in fear.
She saw Beta Luke, who was standing guard beside her. She could perceive his distinct wolf scent so she knew he was a wolf and that eased the tension in her body a bit.
“You are awake,” Beta Luke said to her as he approached the bed.
“Yes. Where am I?” She asked.
“Silvermoon Pack,” Beta Luke replied, studying her carefully.
“Silvermoon Pack?” She echoed, trying to recall where she had heard the Pack's name before.
“It is my turn to ask questions, girl,” Beta Luke asserted.
“Who are you and where are you from?” Beta Luke interrogated.
“My name is Evelyn Anderson and I am from Blackwood Pack,” She said.
“Blackwood pack? That's quite far from here,” Beta Luke said as he wondered why she had traveled so far away from home.
“Why did you leave your Pack? Did you decide to go rogue?” Beta Luke asked.
“No. I have no reason to go rogue. My pack was destroyed by werewolf hunters. They killed every wolf in my pack, my father sacrificed himself for me so I could escape. They chased me to the edge of a cliff and I had no choice but to jump off the cliff and now I found myself here,” Evelyn explained in tears.
“Werewolf hunters?” Beta Luke asked as his expression darkened. He recalled hearing about them – An organization made up of humans who mercilessly hunted down werewolf packs, leaving destruction in their wake. Their actions seemed driven by a vengeful vendetta, targeting werewolves with relentless determination.
“Yes,” Evelyn confirmed.
Beta Luke stared at Evelyn. His instincts told him she was telling the truth. If she was from Blackwood Pack then she couldn't be a spy because Blackwood Pack was not one of their rival packs but he still needed to confirm her story.
"What is the name of your Alpha?" Beta Luke questioned, aiming to verify her claim of belonging to the Blackwood Pack.
“Alpha Festus, I am his daughter” Evelyn answered.
Beta Luke nodded in agreement, she had answered correctly.
“You have to tell your story to our Alpha. He is the only one who could determine what we should do with you,” Beta Luke explained.
Beta Luke mind-linked Alpha Grayson and when the link was connected, he said to him. “The girl is awake, Alpha. You need to listen to her story. It is about those werewolf hunters you were planning to go against.”
Alpha Grayson closed the link immediately. Beta Luke knew he was already on his way. A Pack allied with Silvermoon Pack had fallen to the hands of the werewolf hunters and they had killed every member of the Pack before Grayson could get there. Since then he had been trying to locate them to go against them.
Alpha Grayson got to the hospital in no time but as he entered he could feel an alluring scent drawing him in.
His heart pounded in his chest as the strong scent of lavender and freesia enveloped his senses, causing the hairs on his body to stand. It was the most alluring scent he had ever perceived in all his life despite the number of girls he had slept with.
“What is this?” he said to himself, attempting to shrug off the sensation and continue on his way.
However, as he moved closer to the room Evelyn was admitted, the scent grew stronger and stronger.
Grayson's eyes blazed a fiery shade of red, reflecting the intense frustration of being unable to control his emotions.
He summoned all the courage he could muster to keep his body under control as he entered the room Evelyn was in.
However, as Grayson entered the room, he couldn't help but feel thunderstruck by the girl sitting on the bed. Her aura exuded a captivating beauty that he found both mesmerizing and unfamiliar.
His wolf, Kyle, jumped excitedly as he said the words Grayson had dreaded to hear all his life “Mate.”
Evelyn stared at Alpha Grayson who had suddenly stopped in his tracks looking startled. She found herself captivated by the alluring blend of Sandalwood and blueberry musk emanating from him.A rush of emotion swept over her as she stared at the man who stood tall and proud, exuding an air of confidence and authority. His chiseled jawline, piercing gray eyes, and strong presence would command attention in any room. His broad shoulders and muscular build gave him an aura of power that seemed to radiate from within and made him stand out.“This must be the Alpha,” Evelyn mused to herself.Time seemed to slow down as the world around her faded away, leaving only her and this dangerously handsome Alpha locked in a silent exchange of emotions. At that moment, she felt a surge of adrenaline, a fluttering in her chest, and an overwhelming sense of warmth spreading through her body.Suddenly, a red line emerged from Grayson's wrist, causing him to groan out in frustration, "No, No!" The lin
Grayson headed directly to his office, and as he approached the entrance, he turned and firmly said to Beta Luke who was still following him, “I would like to be alone.” Beta Luke respectfully bowed and left Grayson to be alone. Diana tried to follow Grayson into the office, but he closed the door in her face and locked it from inside.Grayson vented his frustration by pounding his fist on the wall as soon as he entered his office. “'What is happening to me?” he thought. “Why did that girl affect me so deeply?”“She is our mate,” He heard Kyle saying to him.“I don't want a mate,” Grayson replied to his wolf but a heavy feeling settled in his heart as the words left his lips. His hands trembled, his heart pounded erratically, and sweat glistened on his forehead as fear consumed him. His worst nightmare was unfolding before his eyes and it appeared he had no control over it.“Damn the fucking bond” he cursed out.He wanted to kick her out of the pack to never see her again, but he
“How can someone from a different Pack suddenly be my brother's mate? What if this is all a deception? What if she intentionally came here to become his mate, and the bond was a ruse?” Diana expressed her concern with Lisa.“The mate bond did appear, Diana, there was no way she would come up with that,” Lisa stated.“What if she's using some kind of charm, Lisa? It just doesn't add up that a stranger is Grayson's mate," Diana questioned. “We have plenty of eligible and beautiful girls right here in the Silvermoon pack, so why would his mate come from a faraway pack?”“I trust that the moon goddess has her reasons for everything that happens. I believe that she is indeed Grayson's true mate. Perhaps the distance is why it took so long for Grayson to find his mate.” Lisa said.“For the first time in my life, I am happy Grayson rejected a girl. I couldn't bear to have her as my brother's wife and the Luna of Silvermoon,” Diana expressed.“Diana, please don't be so harsh. If they are tru
“Diana, she can't leave without Grayson's consent,” Lisa cried out.“Who says she can't? I am sure Grayson doesn't want to see her again,” Diana retorted.Lisa let out a sigh and gently pulled Diana outside.“Why are you acting this way, Diana? I know you as a kind and caring person. Why are you treating a stranger seeking asylum with disdain? Please, stop,” Lisa exclaimed.“I am doing this for you and my niece or nephew in your stomach. Grayson wouldn't mind her being gone, you saw him storm out of here earlier,” Diana stated.“Let it not be your call, let it be his, please,” Lisa pleaded.“Whatever, I have other things to do right now, are you coming with me?” Diana asked, avoiding any further discussion about Evelyn.“No, I'll stay here with Evelyn," Lisa declared."Suit yourself,” Diana replied before departing.“Hey, Lisa said to Evelyn as she walked back into the room.“Hi, I will take my leave now. Can you point me in the direction of the Pack's border?” Evelyn inquired.“Where
“Oh my goodness! Are you alright?” Evelyn gasped as she entered the kitchen and noticed Lisa's injured hand.“Oh, this? I accidentally cut myself,” Lisa explained, taken aback by Evelyn's sudden appearance in the kitchen.“Aw, poor you! You should be more careful,” Evelyn said sympathetically as she moved closer to Lisa to examine the wound.Lisa recoiled slightly, not wanting Evelyn to catch sight of the wound since it wasn't caused by a knife."No need to worry, I'm a wolf. It'll heal in no time," Lisa reassured.“Okay…” Evelyn responded, surprised by Lisa's sudden behavior.“What can I help you with?” Evelyn asked, offering to assist Lisa.“Do not bother yourself, please. Just relax, I'll take care of everything here,” Lisa responded warmly.“I hope you are not thinking I don't know how to cook because I used to be an Alpha's daughter,” Evelyn said jokingly."Oh no, not at all. You're my guest, so it's my pleasure to cook for you," Lisa replied graciously.“Alright, if you insist,”
“I came to tell you I am leaving and to thank you for your hospitality,” Evelyn said before turning to walk away with her heart broken by Grayson's attitude."Stop right there. What did you just say to me? Who did you say is pregnant with my child?" Alpha Grayson asked in bewilderment."Evelyn stopped and turned back to give Grayson a response, “Are you trying to act like you don't know? Your sister told me to leave because you have a chosen mate who is expecting your pup.”“Diana said that?” Grayson asked, puzzled by her sister's actions. She should have been the one convincing Evelyn to stay, not telling her to leave.Evelyn shook her head, puzzled by Grayson's apparent ignorance of the situation. She couldn't shake off the feeling that this was another attempt to humiliate her, so she made up her mind to leave.“Lisa, please show me to the main road. I am ready to leave now. I wished I had listened to you,” Evelyn said.“Alright,” Lisa, taken aback by Evelyn's abrupt outburst, resp
“He's too full of himself,” Evelyn remarked as she walked towards the border with Lisa."I did try to give you a heads-up," Lisa replied, a smug smile playing on her lips as she felt satisfied with Grayson's actions towards Evelyn.“No one has ever spoken to me like that," Evelyn confessed, her feelings hurt by the way Grayson had addressed her.“Sorry about that, it's not Grayson's fault. It is because of what he had been through,” Lisa pointed out.“What has he been through? What is going on with him? Did someone break his heart?” Evelyn asked, her curiosity piqued.“Well, something like that,” Lisa said and went further to explain what had happened to Grayson's father."Oh goodness! That's just awful," Evelyn exclaimed, an expression of shock on her face.“Yeah, Grayson has been treating ladies like trash since then,” Lisa continued, providing more insight.“How is his chosen mate handling the situation?” Evelyn inquired.Lisa let out a subtle breath, "Well…” But before she could c
“I am not lying, please believe me, Diaba, please,” Lisa pleaded desperately, her voice filled with anguish.“I believe you, Lisa. It is okay, stop crying. It is not good for the baby please,” Diana reassured.“I don't want anything from Grayson, I just want him to take responsibility for this child. I don't want to become a laughing stock in the pack for giving birth to a pup who has no father,” Lisa lamented.“That is never going to happen, Lisa, not on my watch,” Diana said.“He doesn't want the child, Diana, he doesn't,” Lisa continued crying, refusing to be consoled.“Lisa, please, stop crying. I already told you if he denies the pregnancy, I will report him to the council of elders,” Diana urged.“Council of elders!!” Beta Luke exclaimed and continued, “I will advise you not to do that, it will further escalate Grayson's anger. You know he hates the council of elders,” “If he continues to deny Lisa's child, I'm afraid I have no choice but to report him,” Diana stated firmly.“G
Evelyn woke up with a jolt, startled by the rustling of a rabbit searching for food nearby. She had fallen asleep against the rough bark of a tree trunk, her body curled tightly for warmth. Clutching her arms to her chest, she shivered, the chill of the night still clinging to her. For a brief moment, she allowed herself to relax, her heartbeat steadying as she realized the intruder was only a harmless creature. Her dress was torn and muddied, her skin covered in red spots from insect bites. Her lips were cracked, her throat parched, and her eyes red and heavy from her sobs."Evelyn, pull yourself together. We can’t survive another day if we remain like this," Viola urged, her voice laced with concern.Evelyn wiped the tears streaming down her face with trembling hands."I never thought I would spend my wedding night in a forest," she whispered bitterly. "I should have been in Grayson's arms, safe and loved. Instead, I’ve been humiliated, and... I lost my virginity to a stranger. So
"I'm afraid our plans may have to change," he said, his voice trembling slightly, unsure of how Jerry would take the news."How? What happened?" Jerry’s voice was sharp, his eyes narrowing as he leaned forward in his seat.James took a deep breath and quickly relayed everything—the chaos in the pack, the attack on Diana, Evelyn’s disappearance, and Grayson’s collapse into despair. "I didn’t expect it to spiral like this. Grayson’s not just emotionally broken, He’s a shadow of himself now." James explained."How could this happen?" Jerry scoffed, kicking the air in frustration. "How are we supposed to lure Grayson out of the pack now?"James hesitated, then spoke, his voice low, almost pleading."There’s no need to lure him out. He’s not a threat anymore. He’s weak and vulnerable. You could come in and attack the pack directly. But… I ask that you don’t destroy everything."A dark smile tugged at Jerry’s lips. "He’s a shadow of himself, you say? That means the poison worked," he said,
"I told you, Grayson is a curse to this pack, but you refused to believe me. Now look at what’s happened again!" James said sharply, pacing the room as he addressed Demas and Gaius. "This is the second scandal within his family."Demas shook his head, his expression dark. "Enough is enough! Grayson must step down immediately, or we’ll have no choice but to take action against him."James smirked, folding his arms. "He’s already a shadow of himself as we speak. His weakness is evident.""That’s his problem," Gaius sneered. "What matters now is Silvermoon Pack’s future. We need a leader who won’t be so easily blinded or betrayed by women."The three shared a cold laugh, their disdain for the Alpha filling the room."I’ll meet with Robert," James suggested after the laughter subsided. "We need to know if he’s willing to join our cause or not."Demas scoffed dismissively. "Robert? That self-righteous fool? He’ll never agree. He’ll talk about loyalty to the Alpha until his dying breath.""
Evelyn's eyelids fluttered open at the sound of Grayson's voice, his tone sharp and filled with raw fury. Disoriented, she sat up, only to feel the cool air against her bare skin. Her heart raced as she realized where she was—a room unfamiliar, the scent wrong. Her eyes darted to the stranger lying next to her, a smug expression on his face. Panic surged through her veins.“Who are you? What am I doing here?” she screamed, scrambling to cover herself with the sheets. The man stretched lazily, smirking at her. “Baby, what’s with the act? We just had the night of our lives. Don’t spoil it now because of this pathetic excuse of an Alpha,” he said, gesturing toward Grayson. “We both know we’re meant to be together.”“I don’t know you!” Evelyn cried, her voice breaking as her gaze flicked to Grayson. She looked down at the bed, her breath hitching as she noticed the bloodstained sheets. Horror spread through her as the reality of the situation hit her like a punch to the gut. She jumped
Grayson leaned back in his chair, a faint smile tugging at his lips as he listened to Beta Luke.“They fought?” Grayson asked, his voice tinged with amusement.“Yes,” Luke confirmed. “It’s the talk of the pack now. They said it was a heated face-off, and Evelyn said some pretty harsh words.”Grayson chuckled, shaking his head. “Girls’ squabbles. I’m sure it’s nothing serious. But I’ll talk to Evelyn. Diana knows how to push buttons.”Luke's expression shifted to concern. “I get that, but you know how much the pack loves Diana. Even if she provoked Evelyn, I don’t want Evelyn to be seen as a villain. Especially now.”Grayson nodded, his tone softening. “You’re right. I’ll make sure she keeps her composure. But you should talk to your wife too—let her know when to stop provoking my bride.”Luke laughed reluctantly, nodding. “Fair enough. I’ll deal with Diana.”The conversation shifted, growing more serious. Grayson leaned forward, his fingers drumming on the desk.“By the way, Luke,” he
Evelyn became so engrossed in wedding preparations that she barely had time to visit Grayson. Her days were packed with meetings—visiting the seamstress, coordinating with caterers, and overseeing the decorators in the pack’s square. As Evelyn stood in the square, giving instructions to a group of decorators hanging floral garlands, she noticed Diana walking into the bustling area. Evelyn’s face lit up with hope, thinking Diana might have come to show support or perhaps even to reconcile.“Diana! What brings you here?” Evelyn greeted, her voice warm with optimism.Diana’s eyes narrowed as she folded her arms across her chest, her posture exuding disdain. Evelyn’s smile faltered, sensing the hostility.“I can see you’ve finally achieved your mission in this pack,” Diana said coldly, her tone laced with contempt.Evelyn’s brows furrowed. “What are you talking about, Diana? I don’t understand.”Diana scoffed, her expression hard. “How could you not understand? This was your goal all
Evelyn and Tara sat cross-legged on the floor of Evelyn’s room, swatches of fabric and design sketches spread out before them. Tara picked up a piece of white satin, holding it against Evelyn’s frame.“This,” Tara declared with a grin, “with silver embroidery down the bodice. It screams elegance but still keeps that ethereal Luna vibe.”Evelyn laughed, brushing her fingers over the fabric. “You’ve thought about this more than I have.”“Well, someone has to! You’re marrying an Alpha, Evelyn. You can’t just show up in a plain dress,” Tara teased.Evelyn rolled her eyes, smiling. “I wasn’t planning on wearing plain clothes, thank you very much. But I want something… simple. Nothing too extravagant.”Tara gasped dramatically, clutching her chest. “Simple? Evelyn, no. You’re not just any bride; you’re going to be Luna! You have to shine, especially with some of those pack members still grumbling. This is your moment to shut them up with sheer beauty.”Evelyn shook her head, laughing. “I d
Grayson started getting stronger with each passing day. Though his wolf, Kyle, remained silent, his physical recovery was progressing steadily. The Alpha's presence was slowly reinstating balance within the pack. He resumed back to the office and started attending to his duties once more.Seated behind the large oak desk in his office, Grayson looked through the pile of reports Beta Luke had left on his desk. A rogue sighting near their borders and the recent unrest within the pack were among the top concerns. He let out a sigh but straightened when Elder Robert knocked and entered."Alpha Grayson, may I have a word?" Elder Robert asked, bowing slightly."Make it quick, Elder," Grayson said, his voice firm and unkind.Elder Robert stepped forward, his expression a mix of concern and frustration. "I implore you, Alpha, to reconsider your decision about dissolving the council. The council has been a cornerstone of governance for generations. It offers checks and balances, ensuring n
The room was dimly lit, with only the soft glow of the bedside lamp casting a golden hue on the walls. Grayson reclined against a stack of pillows, his features more relaxed than they had been in days. Evelyn sat by his side, her fingers gently brushing through his hair. It was a quiet, intimate moment that neither wanted to break, though unspoken thoughts lingered between them.Grayson’s voice broke the silence. “You don’t have to keep hovering over me, you know.” His tone was light, but his eyes were full of warmth as they rested on her.“Look who's talking?” Evelyn teased, a playful smile tugging at her lips. “That's exactly the way you treated me when I was on the sick bed too.”Grayson chuckled softly, the sound low and gravelly. “So this is revenge.”Evelyn leaned closer, her smile softening. “Yes, Alpha. So stay put.” She reached out to adjust the IV line, her hand accidentally brushing against his. For a moment, they both stilled, the contact sending a spark of warmth thro
