“Diana, she can't leave without Grayson's consent,” Lisa cried out.

“Who says she can't? I am sure Grayson doesn't want to see her again,” Diana retorted.

Lisa let out a sigh and gently pulled Diana outside.

“Why are you acting this way, Diana? I know you as a kind and caring person. Why are you treating a stranger seeking asylum with disdain? Please, stop,” Lisa exclaimed.

“I am doing this for you and my niece or nephew in your stomach. Grayson wouldn't mind her being gone, you saw him storm out of here earlier,” Diana stated.

“Let it not be your call, let it be his, please,” Lisa pleaded.

“Whatever, I have other things to do right now, are you coming with me?” Diana asked, avoiding any further discussion about Evelyn.

“No, I'll stay here with Evelyn," Lisa declared.

"Suit yourself,” Diana replied before departing.

“Hey, Lisa said to Evelyn as she walked back into the room.

“Hi, I will take my leave now. Can you point me in the direction of the Pack's border?” Evelyn inquired.

“Oh my goodness! Are you alright?” Evelyn gasped as she entered the kitchen and noticed Lisa's injured hand.“Oh, this? I accidentally cut myself,” Lisa explained, taken aback by Evelyn's sudden appearance in the kitchen.“Aw, poor you! You should be more careful,” Evelyn said sympathetically as she moved closer to Lisa to examine the wound.Lisa recoiled slightly, not wanting Evelyn to catch sight of the wound since it wasn't caused by a knife."No need to worry, I'm a wolf. It'll heal in no time," Lisa reassured.“Okay…” Evelyn responded, surprised by Lisa's sudden behavior.“What can I help you with?” Evelyn asked, offering to assist Lisa.“Do not bother yourself, please. Just relax, I'll take care of everything here,” Lisa responded warmly.“I hope you are not thinking I don't know how to cook because I used to be an Alpha's daughter,” Evelyn said jokingly."Oh no, not at all. You're my guest, so it's my pleasure to cook for you," Lisa replied graciously.“Alright, if you insist,”

“I came to tell you I am leaving and to thank you for your hospitality,” Evelyn said before turning to walk away with her heart broken by Grayson's attitude."Stop right there. What did you just say to me? Who did you say is pregnant with my child?" Alpha Grayson asked in bewilderment."Evelyn stopped and turned back to give Grayson a response, “Are you trying to act like you don't know? Your sister told me to leave because you have a chosen mate who is expecting your pup.”“Diana said that?” Grayson asked, puzzled by her sister's actions. She should have been the one convincing Evelyn to stay, not telling her to leave.Evelyn shook her head, puzzled by Grayson's apparent ignorance of the situation. She couldn't shake off the feeling that this was another attempt to humiliate her, so she made up her mind to leave.“Lisa, please show me to the main road. I am ready to leave now. I wished I had listened to you,” Evelyn said.“Alright,” Lisa, taken aback by Evelyn's abrupt outburst, resp

It is because of what he had been through,” Lisa pointed out.“What has he been through? What is going on with him? Did someone break his heart?” Evelyn asked, her curiosity piqued.“Well, something like that,” Lisa said and went further to explain what had happened to Grayson's father."Oh goodness! That's just awful," Evelyn exclaimed, an expression of shock on her face.“Yeah, Grayson has been treating ladies like trash since then,” Lisa continued, providing more insight.“How is his chosen mate handling the situation?” Evelyn inquired.Lisa let out a subtle breath, "Well…” But before she could c

It is not good for the baby please,” Diana reassured.“I don't want anything from Grayson, I just want him to take responsibility for this child. I don't want to become a laughing stock in the pack for giving birth to a pup who has no father,” Lisa lamented.“That is never going to happen, Lisa, not on my watch,” Diana said.“He doesn't want the child, Diana, he doesn't,” Lisa continued crying, refusing to be consoled.“Lisa, please, stop crying. I already told you if he denies the pregnancy, I will report him to the council of elders,” Diana urged.“Council of elders!!” Beta Luke exclaimed and continued, “I will advise you not to do that, it will further escalate Grayson's anger. You know he hates the council of elders,” “If he continues to deny Lisa's child, I'm afraid I have no choice but to report him,” Diana stated firmly.“G

Grayson was walking through the woods, trying to unwind when he heard a faint cry. He decided to ignore it as he didn't expect anyone would be in the woods.Due to the presence of dangerous creatures in the woods, the pack members rarely ventured in alone. This was why Grayson loved coming into the woods. He found solace in the peace and quietness it offers. He heard the cry the second time, this time it was a little bit louder than the first one and the voice sounded familiar."Who could be out here in the woods at this time of the day?" Grayson said to himself as he made his way toward the direction from which the cry had originated. As he approached the direction in which the sound had come from, he caught sight of a familiar figure with brown hair“Evelyn?” Grayson muttered."Why is she in the woods?" Kyle said, feeling agitated at the sight of Evelyn.Grayson noticed Evelyn grappling to free herself from something, but he couldn't discern what it was from the considerable distanc

Evelyn tried to explain what had happened in the woods to Diana, Lisa, and Beta Luke but they found it hard to believe the story, especially since Evelyn's heel, where the snake had bitten her, was now completely healed."I believe you, Evelyn. Thank goodness Grayson arrived in time to help," Lisa said, gently grasping Evelyn's hand.Diana gave Evelyn a sharp look before walking away from them.“What did he say about you not leaving the pack?” Lisa asked."I didn't even get the chance to ask him about that. I blacked out in the woods after the snake bite," Evelyn explained."Let me ask him," Beta Luke said, staring at Evelyn. He had observed the longing in Grayson's eyes while he was holding Evelyn earlier. He suspected Grayson might be interested in sleeping with Evelyn, which was likely why he was asking her to stay back.“Alpha Grayson,” Beta Luke said as he linked him.“What?” Grayson responded sharply.“Evelyn wants to know why you are stopping her from leaving the pack,” Beta Lu

I owe her a lot. I owe the Woods family a lot. They took me in when I lost my parents,” Lisa said.“You grew up with Grayson and Diana?” Evelyn asked.“Yes,” Lisa responded.“But that doesn't mean you should sacrifice your happiness for them. Grayson is such a jerk, how could he sleep with you when you are practically like his sister, and now he is denying your child” Evelyn protested.Lisa smiled, “Grayson is just acting tough on the outside, and trying to build a wall around his heart so he doesn't get hurt but deep down he is not a bad person. “We searched deep into the woods, Beta, but we couldn’t find the Alpha,” one of the scouts who had gone to search for Grayson reported.“You said you saw his footprints and all—how is it that you couldn’t track him further?” Diana yelled, frustration evident in her voice.“The footprints led us to a dead end, a cliff, and there was no way to cross to the other side,” the scout explained.“Alright, it's fine. Thank you, you can go,” Luke said, dismissing the scouts.“What are we going to do? We need to find Grayson. We can’t leave him alone with the hunters; he could be in danger right now!” Diana exclaimed, her voice tinged with worry.“I’m so confused, Diana. A lot is happening at once,” Luke muttered, pacing the office. “I would have gone out to track him myself, but I can't leave the pack undefended. The hunters could attack us at any moment.”Diana slumped into a chair, burying her face in her hands. She thought about her brother and the dangerous situation he could be in.“Moon G

Grayson and Evelyn were tied to a tree, their necks bound by silver magic chains that suppressed their wolves and healing abilities.“Funny how you werewolves act like supreme beings, yet a little silver renders you powerless—tied to a tree like dogs,” Jerry sneered, circling them.“Let Evelyn go! You said your issue is with me, so face me!” Grayson growled, straining against the chains.Jerry smirked. “Where do you think you are, Grayson? This isn’t Silvermoon pack. You don’t get to make demands here.” He gestured toward his right-hand man. “Frank, teach him some manners.”Frank approached, holding a thorny whip, and lashed Grayson. Each strike tore into his flesh, blood staining his shirt. Grayson clenched his teeth, refusing to cry out.“Stop! Please, stop!” Evelyn cried, her voice trembling with despair. “Jerry, please!”Jerry raised his hand, and Frank paused. He turned to Evelyn, lifting her tear-streaked face to meet his gaze, “How does it feel to see your mate suffer? Enjoyi

Grayson moved silently, his eyes scanning the shadows for movement as he reached the edge of the camp. Frank barked. "You belong to Group C. What the hell are you doing here with Group A?"Grayson glanced down at the red vest he had taken from one of the hunters earlier. His mind raced, but he masked his panic with a sheepish look. "Ah, sorry, sir! I must’ve gotten turned around. Long day out here, you know.""Save your excuses and get moving!" Frank snapped. "And don't let me catch you out of formation again!"Grayson nodded hastily. "Right away, sir." He turned and walked away quickly, making sure to put some distance between himself and Frank before slipping behind a tent to reassess the situation.Once the coast was clear, Grayson crept toward the area where Evelyn was being held. Grayson crouched low as he approached the hunters' camp, his body concealed by the dense underbrush. The flickering light of campfires illuminated the area ahead, casting shadows on the crude wooden barricades surrounding the camp. He flattened himself against the cold, damp ground and crawled forward, his sharp eyes scanning the layout of the camp.“The perimeter is heavily guarded—at least ten hunters are on patrol, each armed with rifles slung over their shoulders and silver knives at their belts,” Kyle reported after taking a glance around the camp.Grayson also looked around and saw the hunters on patrol. Their movements were methodical, and their sharp eyes roamed the darkness, looking for any sign of intruders."There are too many of them," Grayson said."But they're spread out," Kyle countered. "If we take them out one by one, we can do it quietly."Grayson began calculating. “I need to move fast and remain undetected. One wrong move could alert the entire camp,” he said.He

And why would he leave by himself?” Diana demanded, her voice trembling.Luke sighed, running his fingers through his hair as he tried to gather his thoughts. "A hunter came to see him. He claimed he had information about Evelyn and insisted on speaking to Grayson alone. The next thing I know, Grayson is gone. I just spoke with the guards at the southern border—they confirmed he left the pack an hour ago.”Diana's eyes widened in horror. “Why did you let him go alone, Luke? The last time he faced those hunters, we almost lost him. What if they poison him again?” She clutched her chest, tears pooling in her eyes.“I didn’t ‘let’ him go, Diana. Grayson is stubborn, and you know it. He gave no warning and left without involving anyone else. I’ve already sent a patrol after him,” Luke replied, his voice heavy with guilt.Diana shook her head furiously. “No, Luke. That’s not enough. I’m
