“You had no right!!”

“You were not letting me do my job,” Alex keeps his eyes on me, his stance defensive yet submissive. “You we’re too blinded by your own rage.”

“Regardless of that, you knew I didn’t want her to be around that scene and yet you still brought her back!” I retort coldly, folding my arms across my chest as I stare at my Beta and active telepath and empath.

“I assure you Drian, there is nothing I detest more than the vile witches that kill our kind is to go against your wishes and you know that. I had no choice. You would have killed him.”

I huff, shuffling on both feet tearing my eyes away from him letting them roam across the office I had asked for. “He deserved it and probably even much more than death itself, that fledgling is even more stupid than humans if he truly thought for a moment that he’d be able to get away with what he did, he’s lucky it’s only a broken nose and being choked.”
