Cristoff, stop! You're too loud, someone might hear you," I said to him, placing my ear on the door to feel if someone might be outside.

"But are you sure you're telling me the truth? Because, believe me, I am really confused here," I said, trying to pull my hands away from his grasp.

But he held them tight, his eyes locked on mine. "Celine, just look into my eyes. Do you think I would stand here lying to you?" he asked, his voice filled with sincerity.

But I could see in his eyes that he wasn't joking. There was so much seriousness written all over him. I was taken aback by his intensity.

"But how can I understand all this, Cristoff? This isn't making any sense," I said, feeling frustrated and confused.

"I know, and I understand you very much," he replied, his grip on my hands still firm. "But why do you think I've been coming to your room the previous nights? It was because I wanted to talk to you, to tell you the truth."
