“WHAT??” she asked in utter astonishment.

“You heard me, ‘I will ask him to reject me’. I am not interested in him at all. I only love my handsome wolf mate. Unlike Luke, he is such a gentleman. I will wait for him” I said smiling while thinking about my dear wolf.

Blood drained from Lily’s face when she heard my reply for the second time, with worried expressions she stated,

“You can’t just force him to reject you!”

“Try me” I said replied in a challenging tone and the corner of my mouth twitched into a smirk.

“Did you forget the fact that he must also agree to reject you? You can’t do it yourself!” Lily replied in frustration.

‘Why is she so frustrated? I know everything’ I thought before replying confidently,

“I know. I don’t think he is that much interested in me either. I guess we have mutual feelings about it”

“How do you know that? Have you seen ‘You’?” she asked while pointing towards me, referring to the fact how beautiful I am.

‘My best friend never misses a chance to call me pretty’ I thought but didn’t gave any reply.

She waited for a moment then continued with her rubbish explanation.

“I saw your interaction when you entered the grand hall and also when you were standing there awkwardly during the introduction part. The person who is not interested doesn’t look at you that way, El!” She said in an utterly serious tone.

“I know what you are saying. Every guy reacts this way but once he gets to know that I am no benefit to him. He will change his perspective. Just think about it, Lil! He is going to be the Alpha soon. Which Alpha wants to hangout with a good for nothing Luna?” I asked while raising my eyebrow.

“Elena! Don’t you think he must have done his research before coming here like you did. He probably knows that you have not changed yet and still, he was interested. It is the nature of soulmates! You eventually fall for each other” said Lily still with serious tone.

‘Why so serious?’

“Bullsh*t! I won’t fall for him and he is also not interested in me! Come out of your fairy tale. With the amount of nonsense you speak, you should be a fantasy author! You are wasting your talent” I complimented her in an irritated tone.

I have had enough of her story session.

“Believe me or not, from where I was seeing things, it was different” She said in a low tone.

“Stop talking gibberish and go to your room. You need a beauty sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day” I said patting her shoulder gently.

She nodded and got up from my bed with a long face. ‘Ah! Drama Queen’

“Okay, goodnight, El” she said while switching off the lights and closing the door.

“Goodnight, Lil” I replied smiling and went to sleep.

Next evening,

“Ughhhh!” screamed an annoyed wolf while entering my room.

“What is it now?” I asked with a chuckle while raising my head from the book I was reading.

Lily started throwing a fit as soon as she entered my room.

“I am tired of guiding these people and smiling at them like freaking air hostess!” she shouted angrily while removing her claws to rip something.

“Oh, I thought you were really happy for this merge. Go help your future pack” I said with a small laugh and went back to the book I was reading.

“You must be kidding, nerdy! You are his mate not me” said Lily furiously while taking a chair to sit next to me on the study table.

“Couldn’t care less” I replied fake yawning and turned the page of my book.

“You..!!” Lily was about to give me an interesting nickname but the knock on the door stopped her.

Lily looked at me with confusedly and in return, I replied with the blank expression and shrugged my shoulders.

She opened the door and Alice, the cute girl, was standing there with a polite smile on her face.

“Hey” she said while waving her hand.

“Hi there. Everything okay?” I asked in a calm tone.

“Yup, everything is good. It’s just I am bored” said Alice looking down in embarrassment.

“Do you want me to dance for you?” asked a really annoyed Lily, she had enough of their ‘Lost in the desert’ clan. If they ask for help one more time, Lily might end up killing some of them.

I immediately had to step in to protect my silly best friend’s image.

“Ignore her, she is just frustrated” I said with an awkward smile.

“No problem. I really liked the idea of the dancing though” she replied with a casual laugh.

Silly Lily’s face brightened up after her reply. People take more time for blinking as compared to Lily’s mood swings.

‘Is she on her period’ I thought confusedly.

“You did, right?” asked Lily excitedly.

“Why are you standing there? Please come inside and have a seat” I said politely.

“Oh, thank you. Why don’t we do something and get to know each other” Alice suggested.

“Um. Nice idea. But how?” Lily replied pretending to be thinking while scratching her chin.

“I have an idea. Let’s play Truth and Dare” Alice started jumping on my bed excitedly as soon as she was done sharing her brilliant plan and Lily followed her.

‘Lily hopping Williams couldn’t resist jumping for no reason. She must be a chimpanzee in her last life’ I thought while looking at the jumping machine.

“Excellent, let’s do that” said Lily while taking her hand while jumping with her.

‘At this rate, these two will break my bed in no time!’ I thought looking at the two bunnies hopping on my poor bed. Thank God my father used Maple wood.

“Truth and Dare in three people?” I asked in a muddled tone.

“Let’s call all the youngsters from the pack and play it on the terrace. That will super fun!!” Lily added cheerfully.

‘Of course, you have suggestions. Your brain only stops working when it is something related to academics!’ I thought looking at the excited chicken.

“Sounds like a plan. I will go inform others” said Alice while jumping off of my bed.

“Okay, I will do the same and get the beers” said Lily jumping off of my bed right after Alice.

I could feel my bed taking a sigh of relief.

Knowing Lily and all her tactic well, I knew she will bring all the alcohol in city to this ‘simple get to know each other’ game.

“No alcohol!” I shouted from behind.

Both of them stopped in their tracks and turned towards me.

“Why?” asked both of them in disappointment.

“We will be in trouble if anyone knows. It’s better to keep it low. No alcohol for today or there will be no game” I replied in a stern tone.

“Fine, I will get some non alcoholic beverages” Lily started murmuring.

“WHAT?” I asked with narrowed eyes.

“I will get juice and sodas if you permit, your highness” said Lily with a fake smile.

“Okay, do that. One more thing, it’s 7.43pm already. We should wrap up by 10 pm. We have college tomorrow” I commanded with authority in my voice.

“Okay, your majesty” both of them replied in unison while bowing.

Third Person's POV:

After nearly 15 minutes, they all gathered on the terrace. Lily went to do some arrangement with the guards, apart from her, Liam and Elena were the last one to reach as they were bringing the fruit juice cans.

“And call Lucas after all this. He said he tried calling you but you didn’t pick up” said Liam in a plain tone.

“Yeah, I saw it, I was busy with the formalities. Anyways, serves him right for ignoring my calls. He even dared not showing up for the party when I personally invited him! Still, I texted him that I will call him tonight” Elena replied proudly turning towards him with the box in her hand.

Liam being his understanding self, started convincing her on Lucas’s behalf.

“Call him soon. He might need your help. Things are getting too difficult for him these days” said Liam with a sad smile

Once Elena was done climbing the stairs, she was walking backwards while talking to Liam who was still climbing the stairs.

“Stop emotional blackmailing me with that poor smile of yours! I said I will call…” Elena was replying to him but suddenly she tripped over something and lost her balance but two strong hand grabbed her waist and saved her from the embarrassment of falling on her butt.

With that one touch and she instantly knew who’s hand it was. Her emotions were overflowing when his warm breath touched her neck. She was drowned in ecstasy when their bodies touched. His sent was driving her crazy. She was confused if he felt the same way, because his warm breath also became heavy with each passing second.

Rather than letting her go, he wrapped his hands around Elena’s waist and helped her to get on her feet safely but even after keeping her on her feet, he didn’t let go of her, his hands were tightly wrapped keeping her close to him.

She wanted to turn around and wrap her hands around his neck instantly. Slowly, she was losing control. The urge of kissing him was taking over her innocent brain. She knew they were on the terrace full of people. Still, her own body was betraying her. Her wolf didn’t want move an inch from her mate. She was craving for his touch.

Luke, on the other hand, was feeling the same thing. He also wanted to turn her and kiss her fiercely, feel her warmth. From the moment he entered their pack's territory, her scent was driving him crazy. When she first said ‘Hello’ in her melodic voice, from that minute he wanted to taste those sweet lips. Everything about her was driving him nuts. He even tightened his grip around her waist, he knew she was also melting with his touch.

Their wolves were going hallelujah! Both of them were standing there still without moving a nanometer from each other. Their bodies were inseparable, air also couldn’t pass from there.

All of a sudden, a pair of voice disturbed their weird make-out session and dragged them out of that vegetative state.

“El, are you okay?” asked Liam worriedly.

“Sister Elena, are you hurt?” asked Alice in an anxious tone.
