Chapter 5

Xian West's P.O.V

The school cafeteria is packed with students as almost all students went here after the orientation as the teachers have a meeting so there are no ongoing classes.

I just went to our reserved table and sat down.

"Bro, you did not even bother to wait for us"

I just stared at Ace as he sat down across from me, Ayesha sat beside him.

"Bro, what do you want? The usual?"

I just nodded at him, and he turned to Ayesha.

He knows what order is, one burger, carbonara pasta, and strawberry juice. Strawberry is my favorite fruit, so I wanted to have it on every meal, that is why I always order strawberry juice.

"You, Ayesha. What do you want? My treat"

"I'll just have pasta and iced tea"

"Ok, one pasta and iced tea coming right up" he saluted and went to get our food.

After finishing our food, they just continued chatting with each other, I just listened and sometimes joined in the conversation.

I can't help but stare at Ayesha as she speaks.

She is gorgeous, her long eyelashes that are highlighted as she blinks, her hazel brown eyes are full of soul, her pointed nose and most especially, her soft plump lips.

"Bro, hey! Are you listening?" I was brought back from my trance as Ace waved his hands in front of me to get my attention.

"Sorry, what is it again?"

"We were telling you that we need to go to the classroom, class is starting"

"Ahh, yes, yes, let's go" I picked up my bag and left them.

"Hey, bro. What was that?" he teasingly said as he put his arms around my shoulder.

"That's nothing, I was just thinking of something"

"No, there was something. You were staring at Ayesha earlier"

I saw Ayesha lower her head as he heard what Ace said.

"Really? I did not know, I was in a trance"

I flatly said and continued walking, not bothering what Ace was saying.

Our teacher entered our room.

"Good morning class, as you may have already noticed we have a new student in our class this school year. Let's call up in front, Ms. Hansley"

Ayesha stood up from her seat and walked towards the front of class.

"Hello, I am Ayesha Hansley, I just came back from states, so i hope that you can take care of me"

"Okay, Ms. Hansley you can continue sitting beside Mr. West and Mr. Pierce as you seemed to have already acquainted to them"

After that our class officially started, our prof discussed the syllabus and announced about our student buddy.

Our school practices the student buddy system, they implemented it to help the students in this school.

"Since Ayesha just transferred here and do not have a student buddy yet, I will make some changes in your buddies"

The class started grumbling and whining. As they do not want to change their student buddies.

"Okay, okay, I will not change your students buddies, since your total number is odd we will just have one group who will have a trio, which Ms. Hansley will be a part of."

"Sir!" Ace raised his hand.

"Yes, Mr. Pierce, what do you want to say?"

"Sir, why not just include Ayesha in our group? Since we are already close, if she is in our group she does not have to adjust much"

"I do not think that my best friend here slash student buddy Xi will have any objections to that, Right Xi?"

He looked at me waiting for my response, hus eyes telling me something. I know that look, he is clearly teasing me.

"Yes, sir. I do not mind"

"Alright, alright. Since you two do not mind having another student added as your student buddy, then everything is settled now"

After finalizing the student buddy partners, our teacher started discussing our lecture for the day.

During the lecture I can not seem to concentrate on the lesson as my attention was always on Ayesha.

'What the hell is happening to me? Why can't I focus on the lecture?'

I frustratedly brushed up my hair and tried to focus on the lecture.

The lecture ended with nothing going into my head as my eyes would always land on her.

"Mr. West, is there something wrong? You seem distracted during my lecture?"

"Nothing, sir. I just can not seem to focus, I am sorry, I will just study the lecture again tonight at home"

"Okay, if you would study the lecture later, I am just concerned because this is the first time you acted so distracted in my class"

"Okay, sir noted, and thank you"

"I am just really concerned, you were always the top of your class, but being distracted in class might affect your performance, I hope that thus will bit happen again, okay?"

"Yes, sir. Noted"

After that our teacher tidied his things and went out of our room.

"Bro, what's wrong?" Ace asked me worriedly.

"Nothing, bro. I'm fine"

"really? I don't think so"

"what!?" I asked him irritatingly.

"I saw you earlier, you were staring..."

"what?! No, I am not staring at her" I cut him of, stopping what he was about to say.

"Whoa, bro" he raised his hands surrendering. "I was about to say that you were staring at nowhere" he teasingly looked at me "But who is this 'her' you were talking about?" he asked.

"Is it....?" he looked around, as if finding someone, then finally hus eyes landed on Ayesha.

I covered his mouth to prevent Ayesha's name from coming out of his mouth. "Shut up, our next teacher is already here" then proceeded to sit properly on my seat.

Ace quiet down and did the same as our teacher starts talking in front.

'thank god' I internally sighed as I am thankful that our teacher came right on time, stopping Ace from bothering me.

Ayesha might hear her and might think that I am weird or creepy or something.

The lecture went on and I was still distracted by Ayesha but I was somewhat able to understand the lecture, as I really tried to keep my focus on the lecture.

Not like earlier where I did not get anything from the lecture.
