Chapter 05

The sun rays subside on my face which disturbed my sleep. I don't know when for the last time I had such a pretty sleep. Far from my home, I have no restrictions from my parents who kept nagging at me how to behave properly and to be disciplined.

I yawned and stretched my arms to get rid of my sleepy muscles as well. The sky was sleeping soundly on her bed.

I decided to call my Mom.

I called her yesterday to inform them about my safe arrival at the University.

I dialled my Mother's number and she picked it up on the third ring.

" Good morning Mom." I greeted her with a tinge of respect.

"You wake up this late?" she retorted at me.

Late!

Damn! She can't keep her strictness aside when her daughter is away from her.

"I slept late at night. I was busy settling my stuff here." I told nervously.

" Don't think Savi that you are away from home and your parents so you can do whatever you want. You have to follow my orders and be in a discipline like you do here in the house," she spoke in a strict tone.

My eyes get moist. Can't she talk like a normal mother?

" Okay," I said in a teary voice.

" What about your classes?" she asked.

" They are starting from tomorrow. University will assign our schedules today for the coming classes," I said.

" That's great. Study with your whole determination in the university. I want you to top the exams. Don't distract yourself from this colourful university atmosphere. And Savannah don't you dare to pursue your passion of singing behind my back," her last line was a complete threat to me.

"Yes, Mom," I just agreed like an obedient child.

" Where's Dad?" I further asked her.

"He has left for his office," she said in a dry voice and cut the call instantly.

I just stared at the phone screen which was beeping with the sound of a cut call. A drop of tear fall on my phone screen.

My mother is a school teacher. In her 15 years, of teaching experience, she just knows one thing discipline. No matter where you are, how you are or who you are. One has to be perfect in their life according to my mother. From my childhood, I followed her orders like a puppet.

According to her, my singing will never fill my stomach. For a living, I have to earn a stable income by settling myself in a big economical prospectus. And no one will hire me until I have that potential. So now as per her orders and liking I am studying hard just to make her heart contented.

" Why you woke up this early, baby girl?" I heard a voice. "Sleep until your muscles relaxed." A sleepy Sky spoke from the bed.

" It's already late, Sky. The mess will be closed in an hour. Get up or we will have to starve ourselves," I said and get up from bed hastily.

Hearing about the closure of the mess Sky instantly jumped from her bed.

" I am up. Get ready fastly," Sky said while rubbing her sleepy eyes.

I arranged my bed and was settling some remaining stuff. Meanwhile, Sky was in the bathroom taking shower. After a moment, she came outside and now it was my turn for the shower. I took shower and get ready.

I and Sky left for the mess. As we were passing by I examined the whole surrounding.

Many girls were standing outside their rooms and were busy gossiping. The whole dorm was buzzing with the girly chit-chatting.

I was trailing behind Sky who was taking long and steady steps to reach the mess before it gets closed and we had to starve ourselves.

Soon we reached inside the mess. It was pretty much spacious and was enough for the whole dorm students to ate their food at a single time.

Several tables and chairs were arranged neatly in the mess. A separate long-serving section was there for the food. The mess staff were standing at the food section in their designated uniforms and was serving the food on the plates of students who stand in line.

I and Sky picked up our plates. The food distributors filled our plates and we sat on the near table in a corner.

Sky sighed when she filled her mouth with the first bite of breakfast. It looked like her body gained energy. The same was with me.

"I was dying from hunger," Sky said while chewing her food.

"Me too," I said.

We kept talking about random stuff then both of us heard nearby girls talking about something which caught my attention.

"I am so eager to see Damien and Dominic." One of the girls said with dreamy eyes.

"Every student of Crosswood University is eager to see both of them. Even I choose this university so that I can meet them," The other girl said in an exciting tone.

I moved my eyes at Sky who also had a dreaming look on his face.

Damien and Dominic!

These two names seem to be familiar.

Then the yesterday flashback came to my mind.

Were they the same boys?

I asked," Whom they were talking about? You have any idea?"

Sky dropped the spoon from her hand on the plate.

"You don't know whom they are talking about?" she asked me.

"Maybe not," I said nervously.

She cleared her throat a bit and started her wording," Damien Black and Dominic Knight are the two famous boys of the CrossWood University."

"Famous for their good works?" I asked her with a sheepish smile.

She smacked my head lightly and said, "They are famous in the university for their image of bad boys. Both of them are the only heirs of this University's top two shareholders which mean money fall on their feet. As they belonged to high-class families, they considered themselves the owner of this university and wanted the students to function as they want. Girls keep running behind them for their looks and charm while boys want friendship with them for earning fame and name. If any student fails to impress them or failed to follow their orders then they do worst with them." Sky finished her sentence with a serious look on her face.

I gulped hard. At the very first, I get interacted with two bad boys of the university.

"They are friends?" Came from my mouth as a question.

Sky nodded her head in decline and said, "They are biggest rivalries. Their fight is to prove who is bad among them. A few years back they were best friends but now they are the worst enemies.No one knows what happened between them suddenly which makes their friendship turn into rivalry."

The sky continued with her breakfast.

I was panicking with a fear that if they both bully me? I had already messed up with them.

"I hope to see them soon," Sky said with a bright smile on her face.

"I just hope I will never see them again," I whispered to myself.
