Chapter 26

Accalia-

At some point after eating, I guess I must have fallen asleep, but Zydan carried me to my room. When I woke up, Zydan left a note that he had to leave early for a meeting. Now that I knew who he was, I realized how ridiculous I was for not suspecting that he was more than an assistant.

In addition to the note, he also placed my keys on the table, along with a plate containing two breakfast sandwiches. The sandwiches were still warm, so I figured he left a few minutes before I came downstairs. I didn’t have time to sit and eat, so I put one sandwich in my bag while carrying the second one.

On my way to the garage, I ate one sandwich. I wasn’t in a hurry to leave, but I woke up to a message from Jason telling me that I needed to attend a meeting with the other interns. I had called to ask Diana about it since I received the message at three in the morning.
