Chapter 5

”Master Liam?” Antonio muttered.

“Yes” Liam replied softly.

Antonio stood up straight, his hands reached for his clubs.

Kate who had been watching silently at the scene before her tried so much to hold back her laughter. Truly her friend had gone kuku in the head, she has gone insane.

Antonio signaled to the other guards and they circled the car immediately and pulled the ladies out.

“Do you know where you are? Do you think you bitches can come and throw a fuss in front of the royal Villa? Master Liam is inside” Antonio stated and faced the guards and ordered; “take them to the station”

If all these was a dream, Lara was ready to keep dreaming for the rest of her life. this was truly beyond her wildest dreams, she thought as she stared at the extra-large bathroom and the bathtub the looked like a pool. The white was that glistened in the fluorescent light complemented all the white ceramic wares placed in strategic places in the bathroom.

After almost 10 minutes of staring dreamily at the beauty of a bathroom, she stepped in. the cold tiled floor sending sweet sensation from the soles of her feet. The air was filled with the scent of a thousand roses, even her apartment back with Kate doesn’t scent like this, she said to herself.

And without further hesitation, she pulled off her clothes and stepped into the tub, letting out a sigh of relief as the cold water refreshed her skin.

It took her almost an hour before she was able to freshen up and walk out of the bathroom.

She stepped out with one towel tied around her hair and one wrapped around her chest.

“Sir!” William called and walked in, he paused almost immediately at the sight before him. Why the hell would his boss be wrapped the towel around his chest.

“What is it William, why are you staring at me?” Lara asked as she scanned through the numerous skin care products that were on the table. This guy really takes good care of his skin.

“This looks expensive” Lara muttered loudly and picked on up.

“That’s 500 hundred dollars sir. when you bought it when you bought off Mrs. Debra North’s cosmetic company last week” William stated curtly.

Lara froze at the mention of 500 grand. She looked at the lotion and back to William and then back to the lotion again, shock and disbelief clearly written all over hr.

“so, Remind me where I keep my clothes?” She said and turned to Williams.

“In here sir” Williams replied and took her in through the door on the other side of the room.

Lara walked into the spacious room, painted white, well almost every part of the house was white, Lara was beginning to think that white was his favorite color.

Rows and Rows of different styles and designers filled the large dressing room which was obviously bigger than her old apartment.

“Sir, you have an appointment with Fly Corp by 10am and you have a board meeting at 12 and some strange ladies were reported to be scene causing a scene in front of the premises earlier, they claimed to be you” William chuckled slightly at the thought of insane woman trying to impersonate a man.

“Did you chase them away?” Lara asked as she skimmed through the clothes.

“No, Antonio got them arrested. They are at the station as we speak”

“Kate and Lara, those are their names, we interrogated them to find out if they were involved in the attempt on your life” William added.

“Kate!” She exclaimed. She hadn’t stopped to think that if she was in this body the owner of this body would be in hers.

“Oh no, I have to see Kate” Lara hurriedly took out a black Italian suit and a white turtle neck top.

She dressed up quickly, and from the thousands of watches in the drawer, she settled for the Golden Rolex watch. She left with William and tother guards in a convoy, straight to the station to go check up on Kate and make sure the officers do not hurt her best friend, Kate.

The drive to the precinct was a long one given that the convoy wasn’t going as fast as she thought, they kept riding slowly which was even more frustrating.

They got to the station, even before the guard could step out of the car and come over to open the door for her, she had already run out and made her way into the station.

“Sir, please. Slow down, you just had a surgery!” William called out and chased after the young master. This would be the first time he was seeing the young master making an attempt to run.

The young master does not run, he walks elegantly, with a demeanor that demands authority.

Willaim also ran into the station alongside his Master, Liam.

Lara immediately stopped in her tracks as the eyes of all the officers stared at her. She gulped hard and wanted to say something but only air escaped her lungs.

“Good afternoon, Sir!” they saluted, each of them rising to their feet to show respect. Lara let out a sigh of relief because for a moment, she thought they were gonna through her in jail for barging in to a police station like that.

“We didn’t know you were coming sir, how may we be of help?” The detective asked.

Just then Williams ran in, his chest rising and falling breathlessly;

“Sir, are you okay?” Williams asked breathlessly, his both hands resting on his knees as he tried to catch his breath.

“I’m okay William” Lara replied and turned to the detective;

“A friend of mine was brought her, Kate Henshaw” She stated. The detective signaled to the officer behind him and the ladies were brought out from the holding cell.

Liam almost bounced on Lara if not that he was pulled away by the heavy guards surrounding Lara. This was his guards. This means that no one would truly recognize him.

“Kate, how are you doing? I hope they didn’t hurt you?”  Lara asked as she scanned Kate’s body with her hands.

With her head bowed slightly, Kate stepped back, away from his touch; “I’m fine sir, they didn’t do anything to me” She replied calmly.

“I didn’t think you would know my name” Kate added.

“C’mon Katie, why won’t I know your name, I am your b…” Lara paused immediately, her eyes turned to her body which was now being possessed by a total stranger.

Kate won’t believe her if she said she was her best friend, she thought.

“Get them into the car, I will drive alone with them” Lara instructed.

The guards led them into the car and they drove off.

“What did you do to me, gold digger” Liam lashed out immediately the car started moving.

“Lara, shut it! Do you even know who you are talking to? That is Master Liam” kate said to her friend and then turned to the young master; “I’m so sorry sir, my best friend hasn’t been herself lately ever since she returned from the hospital” Kate tried to apologize.

“Look Kate, it’s me Lara. I am in this jerk’s body” Kate finally said

“It’s good you come clean. What did you do? Is this a revenge for what happened last time?”

“Have you too met?” Kate asked, totally confused.

“Look Kate, my name is Liam, Liam Browne, the heir of the Browne family. And I don’t know how the hell I am in this woman’s body. After an assassin tried to kill me, the next thing I know was I opened my eyes in your body” Liam stated, his feminine voice calmer than earlier.

“Same here, I hit my head and boom I woke up in you body.” Lara chirped in. Kate silently watched and listened to them, it was clear to her now that insanity hovered in the air.

“Oh my goodness I almost forgot, I’m not Kate, my name is Elton Musk, after creating the new Tesla model I slept and woke up in this body” Kate blabbed, with disbelief written all over her.

“C’mon Kate, this is serious” Lara mumbled.

“How the fuck do you want me to believe this. Is this a prank or what?”

Lara sighed softly and eerie silence hounded the car.

“What exactly happened, I mean moment before you lost consciousness?” Lara asked breaking the silence.

“Well, I got the news that my father was involved in a car accident and I rushed out of my office….”

..FLASH BACK…

Liam rushed to the hospital immediately, the news that his father was in an accident had already made it to the headlines of all the TV stations, reporters had already gotten to the hospital before him. He jumped off the car and ran towards the entrance of the hospital which was already crowded by the pesky reporters and paparazzi. He managed to push his way through with the help of his guards. He got into the hospital but wasn’t allowed to see his father.

The nurses told him that his father had lost a lot of blood on the scene of the accident and the doctor were doing everything they could to save him. He had no option that to wait. 30 minutes past but it felt like days to Liam, he stood up and walked out through the back to go get some fresh air and probably cool his head.

This was no ordinary accident, he mumbled to himself as he trailed around the flowers at the back of the hospital. The cool air breezing past him did a pretty good job in keeping him cool.He kept railing round and round wishing his life wasn’t this complicated. He had barely made the fourth turn when an old woman walked up to him.

She tripped and fell but he was lucky to catch her before she fell.

“Sorry about that, should I take you in to the hospital? Are you okay?” Liam kept asking as he helped her up.

“I am fine” he frail voice replied;

“If you can spare me a dollar so I could get my daughter and I our dinner tonight” Her words of plea floated into his ears. He felt empathy and took out his wallet. Without even counting to check how much, he folded everything into the old lady’s palm. A smile etched on the old lady’s face. Her eyes lit up gleefully. One would barely notice the smile because of how folded the skin on her face was, the wrinkles and the white hairs that sparkled under the light.

She looked like she was more than a hundred years old.

“Make a wish”

“What?” Liam asked immediately her words reached his ears. He was surprised on hearing her words. Other people would fall on their knees and thank him but she didn’t, rather she told him to make a wish. What if he asked to become the most richest man in the world can she do that for him? She doesn’t even have money for tonight’s dinner, why didn’t she wish for that?

The old lady could clearly see the doubt in his eyes and she chuckled softly; “You don’t have to believe that wishes do come through, you just have to say something and maybe, just maybe the wish would come through” the old lady said.

Liam smile and looked up, he had a lot of things he wanted and wished for, he might be rich but he wants a break; “I wish, I wish I could walk away from this life style, be the free person I want to be. Be a new person” he said hopefully.

When he was done, he returned his gaze back to the old woman but she wasn’t there. He turned, his eyes scanning the place around him.

He was surprised and shocked at the same time.
