Heather POV

“Why’s Heather crying?” Reed asks as he also kneels in front of me.

“Is it because of something we did?” They ask in unison as they reach out to wipe away my tears and cup my cheeks. I raise my hands and place them over each of their hands on my face. Shaking my head no, I answered them. “It wasn’t you guys. I’m just feeling overwhelmed and missing my parents.” They slowly leaned forward, placing their foreheads against mine. Yes, they still have to lean over since they are still taller than me when kneeling in front of me, sitting on the couch and take a deep breath. We stayed in this position for a minute or so before Reed broke the silence.

“Lucas and I were going to ask if you wanted to make some popcorn and watch a movie but you would rather not, we understand.” Reed asks as the two of them lean back.

“Actually, I think that might just be the type of normal thing I need right now. What movie did you have in mind?”

“Hadn’t thought of one yet.”
