Sweat was trickling into some majorly uncomfortable places, but I wasn't about to let that stop me. A little bit of buttcrack sweat was no match for me, I had much bigger things to worry about currently; like the ferocious Alpha in front of me.

Despite the fact he was older he was no less impressive. Standing tall, over 6 feet, with piercing blue eyes with black salt and pepper hair he was a force to be reckoned with. His muscles rippled and bunched as he readied his stance. In his prime he must have been formidable, it was little wonder he was one of the most well known Alpha's, and most feared even though he was quite a pushover.

"Come on little girl" he growled, a smile on his face.

"You'll be eating those words soon enough old man" I shot back, smiling at my dad.

My dad, Eric, the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack crouched down, ready for my attack. As fast as I could I ran, right before impact I slid under him, and before he could lay a finger on me I had my hand at his throat from behind.

"Surrender yet grandpa?" I chuckled.

"Never!" Prying me off his back he easily tossed me away, I landed on my feet and sank low. Wiping the sweat from my forehead I grimaced, he had many advantages over me, however, speed was the one I had over him. He was fast for someone so bulky but he didn't have the lithe dancer's build I possessed, and that gave me a distinct advantage. I had been going easy on the geezer, he was after all, elderly for all intents and purposes; even if he could still kick some major ass. He and I both knew I could beat him if I really wanted to, but it was more fun to play and hone my skills this way, who said father daughter bonding had to be lame?

"Are you two going to mess around all day or will you actually do something productive?" Luna Dana, or mom as I called her, sidled up to us, a grin on her face.

She is the opposite of my massive father, small and petite with a fine boned physique and hair that is not so much grey as it is white and the same bright blue eyes. I managed to get the best of both worlds, my mom's build with my dad's height. Taller than most women at 5'10" with long brown hair and deep hazel eyes I was the almost perfect mix. If they had any other children I have no doubt they would also share my same fate with our genetics, sadly I had no siblings. Which is why as a rare Alpha female my old man was grooming me to takeover one day. We supposed since they already bore an Alpha the Gods decided they did not need another child, within the pack just as many had siblings as didn't so it was not that unusual; simply unusual for an Alpha and his Luna. This fact did not cause any unrest among the pack however, as my dad was a competent, fair and good leader and mom (insert eye roll here) lived to host. So she was forever in the kitchen, meal planning and at the helm of any event we had. You could see her touches everywhere, which made me wonder when I found a mate who was going to do this because it sure as hell wouldn't be me. And I would not assume it would be my mate either, because no one knew if my mate would be an Alpha or another higher rank, and they certainly would not be down to deal with the décor.

"I was just teaching this brat a lesson" my dad informed my mom with a smirk.

"Is that so? Sure didn't look that way" she laughed, knowing full well we were just playing. We followed her back toward the pack house, which was bustling with activity seeing as it was almost lunchtime.

"Yo Cici!" My Gamma Jay waved at me through a mouthful of food. I laughed, Jay was my goofy, loveable Gamma. He was imposing, an ex marine who was still in prime physical condition, tall and made of muscle he had many of the women swooning. His hair was a sandy brown color and floppy, with bright green eyes that always seemed to be questioning it was easy to see why, but his mate was not among his fan club. I snickered to myself, there had been a time when Jay and I had been more than a Gamma and Alpha to be, and while that was fun we had settled into a sort of affectionate friendship; and the love we shared was our steadfast friendship that had existed for over a decade, even when he was overseas.

He draped a tanned arm around my shoulder, "You gotta try the meat today, I don't know what they did with it but it is AH MA ZING" he annunciated.

"It's just because you can't ever stop eating, I don't know why we haven't had to roll you out of there yet fatty" my Beta, Christian said, sidling up to Jay.

"Hey! I don't have anything to show for it so I plan to keep eating this delicious food to my hearts content. I would never want Luna to think the food wasn't delicious since they are her recipes." Jay said, looking mock wounded. Christian snorted.

Where Jay was goofy and fun Christian was logical and serious, not to say he couldn't be fun because he certainly could. They both brought different things to the table which is why the three of us worked so well together and were the closest of friends. Christian was my same height, with a mischievous grin, brown eyes and brown hair. Both men were made of lean muscle, Jay being slightly bulkier and one of the best fighters, Christian relied on his speed and endurance more to tire the other person out first then attack. Christian had been like a brother to me growing up, and that had continued on into adulthood. His mate Alicia, even referred to me as his sister and him as my brother as it was true, just not by blood.

Giving both my friends a grin, I asked "Well, what if I eat so much I need to be rolled out? Or will you idiots just let me get myself stuck in the doorway?" And sauntered off toward the heavenly aromas coming from the pack house.

I couldn't deny my mom's recipes were delicious and the kitchen executed them perfectly. I took a seat next to some of the other pack members and joined in some light chatter. Mom and dad had wandered off to somewhere else, probably dads office. Jay and Christian were off to warrior training, which we were proud to note had several female warriors as well. Typically women were not warriors, however we had some show interest and we honed that skill, and in turn they became invaluable to the pack. Nina was known for her stealth and utilization of the element of surprise, she was a very small woman and could contort herself into all kinds of places if need be. She seemed pleasant enough with her blonde hair and brown eyes, always smiling with a kind word; but she was just as deadly as she was nice. Toni was tall, and built like a brick wall, cropped brown hair and a face a Greek Goddess would envy she had more muscle in her pinky finger than many warriors. She was sheer strength, an imp

I felt the hairs on the back of my neck rise in time with the flame I saw licking across the pack house roof. No, no this couldn't be happening, why? I smelled blood in the air, heard the howls of the pack and knew we had trouble on our hands. Shifting into my wolf quickly I ran toward the sounds, and where the smell was the strongest. The woods smelled dirty, musty and my paws pounded the solid earth in rhythm to my escalating heartbeat. I was dreading what I may find as I got closer and the stench of blood grew stronger. I skidded to a stop as I broke through the last of the trees before the clearing. The pack house was alight as well as the surrounding structures, everyone was scattered, fighting. I saw Jay barrel through a tangle of wolves, Christian hot on his heels, both sinking their teeth into anything in their way. Nick and Toni were picking up attackers smaller than them and throwing them back into the fray. I heard a loud howl and recognized my father calling out, throw

How on Earth was this Omega the brother to an Alpha? And he was far from the typical Omega. In the face of my Gamma's displeasure he showed no change, any normal Omega would be cowering in fear. While the Omega's in our pack were treated as equals we knew that was not the case with other packs. Omega's were weaker, and couldn't shift as often. Because of this they tended to be smaller and weaker, therefore taking service jobs and leaving the leadership and supervisory roles to the rest of the pack. Omega's tended to mate with other Omega's, but sometimes they mated with a Gamma, even rarer a Beta. I narrowed my eyes at him, tail flicking nervously. This big, sleek, inky black wolf with amber colored eyes was the future Alpha and this Omega next to him, was almost as big as his brother. This Omega, standing tall, not ruffled in the least, stockier than his Alpha brother and only shorter by a matter of inches was unusual indeed. In an Alpha bloodline there were no Omega's, Gamma wo

I wrung out the washcloth and watched as the water slowly turned red, the blood snaking through it like rivulets and swirling traveled down the drain. I was a great fighter, in theory, but untried in a true fight. Frustrated, I rested my head against the cold wall, feeling the water beat down on me, each individual droplet uniting with more to create a stream. A stream cleansing the blood from my body, my blood, the blood of others. I felt the tears forming in my eyes, blurring my sight, and pricking my eyelids, so many gone and for what? And I had proven worthless, strength did not matter if you could not do anything. I may have held the Alpha at bay, but when it came down to it, I couldn’t finish the job. Sure, I took out one wolf, but that was already one wolf too many. When it counted, I had faltered, and it had almost cost me my life. If it hadn’t been for Jay and Christian, I would have joined those who did not make it back. Needless fighting, and both packs had suffered greatl

I blew a breath out of my nose, trying to understand what was happening. Mates, MATES?! Plural. Hot, sexy, delicious, mates; and I had two. How was this possible? This was unheard of, unacceptable, but I couldn't deny the pull toward them both. They were obviously as flustered and confused as I was, I saw both of their nostril's flare as they took in my scent. While I couldn't see Zach's pupils as his eyes were too dark, Mike's dilated noticeably. His mouth turned up at the corner, into a slight smirk. "Well isn't this interesting?" He purred, not moving his face from my hand. Zach, on the other hand, seemed to regain control of himself and broke the touch. I couldn't help but feel a little empty when he did so. He didn't say a word, but turned around and walked to the far corner of the cell, sitting down in the darkness and refusing to make eye contact with me. "Don't mind him, this isn't exactly opportune timing you know?" Mike said, smiling gently. I looked up at him, his

What a pain in the ass this was going to be. First off, telling my parents I had two mates was going to be enough of a shitshow, much less that they were brothers from the Red River pack. Wonderful, I was looking forward to it already. I knew that if I wanted to get them out I needed to face the music sooner than later, although Zach may opt to keep himself in prison from what I was gathering. He didn't seem to want anything to do with me, and was content to keep things strictly business, which was fine with me for the moment. I had more than enough going on and one mate was quite enough of a distraction, his moody self could wait for a bit. I headed toward my original destination before I had gotten derailed and gone to the prison. My mom's little cottage of hoarding, the pack house would take some time to rebuild but with everyone working together maybe it could get done faster than anticipated. Or maybe not, I remembered all the things over the years my mom had wanted to "imp

My feet definitely did not want to move fast as I headed to where my parents were, if anything they dragged. My dad was a wild card, mom I knew would be glad I had found mates, regardless of the situation just so she could plan more events, ugh. Dad may or may not accept them, not like I had a choice in the matter, but he certainly did. While I had no doubt even if he opposed it he would eventually come around, that didn't mean he would enjoy the fact at first, or even be civil to them. He hadn't earned his reputation by being kind, even though he truly was for his pack; it was the fierce devotion and loyalty he protected his own with that had earned him the whispers behind his back of how ruthless he was. It wasn't that, simply that you didn't mess with his pack and live to tell the tale. Something his pack appreciated, and in return they supported the pack and the well being of the pack as much as they could and with whatever they had. Of course the fact that his Beta was a giant of

This was not what was supposed to happen. I figured my dad would be pretty upset, but this was taking it too far. Not that he would listen to me, mom, Christian, Nick, Joy, or Jay, nope we all protested but he had decided not to listen. Nick had protested when my father marched into the prison and essentially dragged Zach and Mike out by their ears, grumbling the whole way about my choice in mates (like I even had one). The old man was clearly unhappy with this situation, and not accepting it was making it worse; after all I certainly wasn't going to reject either of them. Zach and his attitude were wearing me thin anyways, so I figured he would reject me but highly doubted Mike would. So hey, I end up with one seems pretty alright to me. Not that I wouldn't love to have them both, Zach was such an enigma that I was having trouble ferreting out his feelings; and that man certainly did not wear his heart on his sleeve. Sighing audibly I focused my atte

ALL 50 years laterAVA I ran my hands through my frizzy red hair, trying to tame it into a ponytail with little success. I was in decent shape for someone in my mid forties, but my body had definitely started to feel more tired with less work. Max made fun of me all the time, the jerk, but he wasn’t far behind me; just a few years and he was already going gray. Thankfully I wasn’t, but I still had my own hair woes. I dropped into a fighting stance eyeing my opponent, my Alpha, my brother as he gave me a cheeky grin before he lunged. I easily avoided him, and managed to trip him up as he went past me, thwarting his chances of skidding to a stop and turning. Instead he landed on his ass and I barked a laugh, sidling over I held out a hand to haul him up. Max was tall, just like his dad, standing at around six foot three he was compact and lea

CECELIA 10 YEARS LATERI groaned as Mike pushed deeper into me, his hard cock creating friction in my core in such a delicious way. His warm mouth latched onto my nipple as his hand held my hips still while he thrust into me. A moan fell from my lips as I was filled to the brim by my mate, my joy, my sun. His mouth left my nipple and molded to mine in a sweet kiss, that was in direct contrast to his demanding strokes in and out of my body. My hips rose to meet him stroke for stroke as we chased our bliss together, his other hand dropping to my clit as he circled it with the pad of his thumb, forcing me to cry out as I tumbled over the edge. He followed closely behind me, growling out his release as he kissed me fiercely. Before I had time to get my wits about me Zach was there, flipping me onto my stomach and looping his arm around my hips he pulled me flush against him. His hard length resting on top of my back, right

ALLIE 9 YEARS LATERI sat on the front step, basking in the sun and ruffling my feathers; clearly minding my own business when the door swung open. Ava and Max leapt over me, their shadows sailing over my head as they did so, the voices of their parents pouring from the inside of the house as I heard them calling after them to be careful. I squawked, indignant at the interruption in my sunbathing and hauled myself to my feet, settling into a new spot. Many years had passed since we had defeated Perses and sent his smelly, old ass back to where he came from. I had enjoyed my life since then, puttering around the pack lands and doing as I pleased. While I missed Lance terribly I knew he was still here, his spirit lingering to be with his friends. If I was feeling particularly spry I sometimes took a trip to the Mist pack lands, checking in on Devon; who was the new Alpha. I was rudely interrupted again when the kids shot

ZACH 6 YEARS LATERI yawned, stretching my lean body out under the covers in a starfish like fashion. Effectively kicking my brother, who grunted and rolled over in his sleep; our precious mate sandwiched between us. I considered waking her up for a moment, when a piercing shriek from the other room invaded my peace. I tossed a glance beside me, seeing both Mike and CeCe still fast asleep and got up, dragging my hand through my hair as I headed across the hallway. Ava was awake, her little fists waving angrily in the air as she hollered about food. I smiled down at the red haired demon child and scooped her up, humming as she happily nuzzled into my neck, momentarily content. Her dark haired younger brother slept soundly in the crib next to hers, his quiet snores evident now that she was calm. Knowing that the distraction would only last so long I snagged a pull up and wipes before heading to the kitchen.

MIKE 5 YEARS LATERI skipped a stone across the lake, the sun rays glinting off the still water causing me to squint. Ever since Helios I had still maintained a weird affinity to the sun, it somehow seemed to recharge me instead of drain me like it did most. The rickety dock groaned under my weight as I settled onto it, creaking and protesting. I threw another stone out, the plip plops of it skipping making me smile, leaning back on the dock I let my thoughts wander.Xavier, the librarian/scholar of the Mist pack had contacted me a few years ago, saying he thought he had a cure for me. A way to reverse the damage Jason had done and restore my Alpha status. I’d had to really consider this, what this would mean for me; and us. My wolf was smaller than Zach’s, and I smelled of an Omega but otherwise there were no differences. Physically I was more muscula

CHRISTIAN 4 YEARS LATERThis woman was going to break my damn hand, not that I blamed her. Alicia, my mate, groaned with the force of the contraction as she pushed for what had to be the millionth time. Her pain was palpable, and how I wished I could take it from her; this brutal necessity to bring our son into the world. Our son who I swore to be the best father for, to be there for him no matter what; and to teach him the best I could. Unlike my father. Before I had met Alicia my life had been sad, desolate, and meaningless. My father, an Alpha, had an affair with an Omega and I was the result. Hated by my mother and siblings, the home I was brought up in was full of hostility and hatred that was directed at me. While there was no physical abuse, not usually, the social and emotional ostracization had been damaging enough. At school my siblings, the popular kids, had made sure I w

JAY 3 years laterAfter the attack, and the war with the Gods things had mostly returned to normal. CeCelia and her mates had taken over as leaders while Alpha Eric was thoroughly enjoying his retirement. Having three leaders sharing the role meant my job was, well, minimal. I had turned to other ways to keep my mind occupied when I wasn’t needed, and Christian and I had taken to repairing old motorcycles in my garage. We rode together frequently though I preferred cruisers while he enjoyed sportbikes, popping wheelies and scaring the shit out on me on the regular. I never told Alicia, his mate, about that knowing she would go full she wolf on him; let the man have a bit of fun but I’d be damned if I didn’t feel my heart stop when he did it.When I wasn’t tinkering in my garage I was hanging out with the kids. I loved being with the little monsters, who

A WEEK LATERMIKEPerses was gone, dead, deader than dead. Deader than a doornail even, and thank fuck he was. The Earth had almost immediately sprung back to life, small shoots of green appearing in the cracked dried ground, stubbornly attempting to find purchase. The trees that had withered and closed in on themselves were slowly unfurling, their leaves and flowers cautiously peeking out. Devon had come over from the Mist pack when the rest of our pack had returned, as the future Alpha’s he and Zach would begin to lay foundations between the two packs. Of course nothing would be solidified until CeCelia, “the Queen Alpha” as Devon called her jokingly, signed off on it. They had also included me as I was an Alpha before I was altered, and while I knew Zach valued my opinion it seemed Devon did as well. Devon was a quiet sort, with dark hair and intelligent eyes; quite the opposite of L

ZACH“Do it again,” I told CeCelia. Watching the God as he continued to claw at himself like he was on fire. She looked puzzled, clearly not thinking she had done anything. Then she raised her hands, and pointing them like guns at Perses mock shot at him.“Pew pew!” she yelled, then snapped her hands back over her shoulders. The giant lump of decaying flesh actually fell over and she did that. I narrowed my eyes on her.“Pew fucking pew?” My eyebrow arched as I tried not to laugh at her antics.“Look, it was worth a shot. Whatever is going on, my hands are doing things to him. I don’t know how or why but it’s giving us the advantage.”“I agree,” Mike intoned, standing be
