Mia's POV

“Hang in there Natalia you will be fine,” I said as we drove in the ambulance. Natalia struggled with her breath and her weak body. She must have been extremely exhausted.

“Mia …” she said softly. Her whispers made me increase my focus on her. I didn't want to miss any information she managed to breathe out. As I stared at her, my mind drifted into my subconscious. Thoughts of want happened to flood through my mind. Was she about to tell me the location of the boys? I asked myself as I waited for her next words.

All I could do was wait. She used long minutes to gather strength for her next words. My patience grew thin as I waited.

“Take your time dear,” I said to her, placing my hand on her forehead. Her body temperature was rising. She had this urgency in her expression. There was something crucial she had to tell me, but her body was too weak to release the information.

“His part of them…his helping them,” she said in more puffs of air. Her speech was slurred and cluel
