"You can't go in there, we don't need more ladies for the night." The hefty bouncer barked at Emery, his chest-thumping hard, she feared he would lift her with one hand if she didn't halt her gaits and walk out of the hallway.
"I know, I know." Emery ran as fast as her legs could carry her. She wasn't ready to stop here, she was a few inches from joining the ladies where they were lined up, she promised to make it there even though she'd later be rejected. She never did it, even though it meant losing her virginity to a stranger tonight, she needed to save her sister from dying.
"Stop!" Hayden, the man in charge of giving out the ladies to the rich folks yelled at the bouncer. "Stop chasing after her," he commanded, using his hands as a signal for him to not move any further.
"You can go," he finally nudged his head to tell the hefty bouncer off.
Emery heaved a long sigh of relief, her eyes roamed the hallway. Ladies dressed in flimsy clothes, looking seductively attractive. They all screamed, "Screw me," Of course, that was why they were there; to be screwed by one of the rich men coming in tonight and get some good bucks after the fun.
"Who are you?" Hayden turned to her, his eyes ogling her body, they finally rested on her exposed thick thighs. She knew what he was staring at, she chose the dress, didn't she? He licked his lips flirtatiously.
"Emery." She retorted, snapping her fingers. She hoped he wouldn't ask further questions about her, she just needed him to approve of her so that she could join the line.
"Do you know what we do here?” He queried, his eyes not leaving her thighs.
"Yes, I do," Emery responded sharply. Lola, her friend who was a waitress at the clubhouse, had told her how ladies were given out to men every night. Lola had no idea she had gone behind her back to meet with Hayden. Emery had dodged her as she entered the clubhouse. She knew well that Lola would stop her if she told her her plans. But it was just for tonight and maybe many more nights until she got the money for her sister's treatment.
"What do we do?" Hayden questioned again.
"I know that you give out ladies to rich men to sleep with. The men pay you and you cut the money between yourself and the ladies, I know that I do know." Emery bobbed her head, feigning a smile to hide her nervousness.
"You are right but—" he trailed off when one of the ladies knowingly caressed the nape of his neck, placing a soft kiss that let him groan in pleasure. "We don't need more ladies for the night," he managed to utter, still reeling in the incoming pleasure Stella was about to give him after he dispatched the ladies. She always did it right, Stella knew how to make him talk less and do more, a baddie whom he shared the money with every night. She was his mini-god and he didn't mind bowing to her every time she needed him inside her.
"She's thick, she's got it. Why not let her join in tonight? Someone might choose her." Stella let go of Hayden. She placed her hand behind his ear and whispered some words that made him chortle. "What do you think?" She furrowed her brows, waiting for his approval.
Emery predicted something like this would come up but she still decided to give it a trial.
"You are right," Hayden agreed to Stella's secret suggestion. "Join the line, the men will arrive soon." He directed Emery. "We have rules here," he signaled to Stella to get the document. She walked back into the office to grant his request. "Seventy percent of the money paid by the client goes to the lady and thirty percent is ours. You are not allowed to steal or take things that do not belong to you. You have to satisfy him, make him feel good, and not regret paying for you." He listed out to Emery, and she nodded her head in understanding as he spoke to her.
She had no idea what he was talking about but she hoped she would end up with an understanding client who would teach her this stuff, that's if she was chosen anyway.
"Here, sign the documents." Stella pushed the file to Emery, showing her where she was to append her signature. Emery meticulously read through the terms and conditions, she signed when she found none of them detrimental to her. "Heads high, elegance, classy are the ladies we give out to men, and the men would not settle for less. Join the line and behave!" She barked as she slipped behind Hayden.
"Yes," Emery said. She stayed at the last line and watched as the ladies conversed with one another; they were familiar with themselves but she was just there, left alone in a lurch, thinking hard about getting money to save her twin sister from losing the battle to a brain tumor, they needed to pay for the surgery and she would do anything to save her only family from dying.
The shrill voice of Hayden announcing the arrivals of the men jolted her out of thoughts. She braced herself together for what was about to happen to her tonight. She had never planned to lose her virginity this way, but she was left with no choice now. She had to do it to save Amery's life.
"Let there be space between you guys," Hayden commanded. They all listened by paving gaps in between them. "Let's welcome the lords of the city." He applauded and the ladies joined in.
Five good-looking men waltzed in, all dressed in black expensive suits. Their manly cologne filled the hallway, a mixture of mint and apple. They glanced at the ladies and were quick to pick two each. They made their choices by twirling the girls around to check what they had, spanking their asses to have a feel of what they were about to pay for, and gently caressing the tip of their pointed nipples.
None of them checked Emery out, they paid Hayden and left with the girls.
Emery was disappointed. Yes, she was thick and not as slender as those ladies but what was wrong with that? She had tried to stay in a good shape by exercising well and proper dieting, why didn't they look her way?
"I wanted them to choose you though, I guess they didn't see you," Stella said in an apologetic tone. "You can try again tomorrow when thick girls like you will be displayed. These people asked for slim ladies," she told her.
"Yeah, I understand." Emery shook her head disappointedly, feeling too bad to talk more or consider if she would be there the next day.
"I think I should leave now," she forced a smile, waved at Hayden and Stella, then she strolled towards the hallway, thinking of the next step to take from here, she was sad, too sad to even think.
In chagrin and with a heavy heart, Emery walked out of the hallway, walking into another hallway that adjoins the one she was in before. Still lost in her thoughts, she butted against a hard chest.
"Careful," she heard a voice. She lifted her head to see who she had bumped into and apologized for not looking well. "You should watch where you are going." His sharp baritone voice sounded again. It was a rich one that sounded soothing to the ears. His eyes were covered with black glasses and she could only make out his very long figure.
"I am sorry, I wasn't looking well." She apologized. She was about to walk away when she abruptly stopped, an idea to ask the man what he wanted struck her mind. She would sound bizarre, but what if he was there for one of the ladies? He can go with her for the night, she doesn't mind so long he will pay her well.
She turned toward him and watched him wander the hallway, she knew she had to act fast. If he agreed to sleep with her, there would be no need to give out thirty percent of the money to Hayden and Stella. She snapped her fingers at the thought.
"Excuse me!" She yelled from across the room.
The man swiftly turned around, gawking at her like she was a piece of shit. Maybe she was, she was filthily dressed.
"Sorry for stopping you," she smiled, he didn't spare her a glance, his eyes were on his wristwatch. "Are you here for the ladies?" She asked him. Not waiting for an answer, she continued. "They've all gone with the lords of the city, but I am still here. I can satisfy you if you're willing to pay me well." She pressed her lips together, she didn't believe she was throwing her body at a man. Where was her decency? She thought as she awaited his response.
He said nothing to her. She bobbed her head ashamedly. He must think of her as a lowlife whore now. She guessed he wasn't there for what she had in mind.
"I am sorry, I thought you were one of those men." She said and waved her hand, turning to leave the hallway.
"How much?" His rich voice made her halt in her tracks.
She turned back to him, her eyes raised in question.
"How much?" He repeated.
"How much do you charge for a night?" he asked her, slinging his hands forward, he walked closer to her. He had no idea how things worked there, he wanted to know more about it."Hmm," she drawled, thinking of the perfect amount to call out. She didn't want to sound greedy but the man in front of her smelled of money. She had to make use of this opportunity before it slipped off her hands. "A thousand dollars for a night," the words left her mouth, and she sighed. Praying that he would not walk away from her for being too greedy. He said nothing, she fiddled with her fingers. "I can make it eight hundred dollars. Note that I will treat you well," she looked at the man in glasses again. He said nothing, still looking at her through the rim of the dark lenses. "You know what? Pay me five hundred."He didn't utter a word, he watched her slash the price by herself until she finally stopped at three hundred dollars."Three hundred?" He asked and she quickly nodded her head."Yes, I will t
"Please, hold on, Amery. Don't die on me." Emery yelled out. "I swear, I was out to find the money for your surgery." She bent her head to feel her pulse, she was breathing faintly. "God, what do I do?" She pulled her phone out of her bag to call an ambulance.Emery panicked as she watched her twin sister lie lifelessly on the floor; she had lost more weight than she remembered, her hands were so fragile and her skin so pale. Emery sobbed, praying that her sister would not die before the ambulance arrived.A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived, picked them and headed to the hospital. They got to the hospital and Amery was rushed into the emergency ward. Emery had to stay back at the reception while the doctors and nurses treated her sister. She prayed, hoped, and wished. After about three hours, one of the doctors came out. He walked to where Emery was kneeling and called her to his office. She was dead scared as she walked behind the Doctor like a zombie."Doctor, please what ha
Emery was strutting around the hospital's gate, with her tote bag swirling in her hands. She veered around to see a car approaching her, she waited for the car to come to a halt. The driver opened the door and stepped out.Striding towards her, she recognized him. He was the man from last night, Benhail! Her subconscious screamed as he pulled out his phone to dial her number."I am here," she shrieked, wriggling her hand in the air. "You don't have to call me." Benhail bounced his head when he sighted her, "Good morning," his voice was deeper and even sexier than last night. It took all the resilience in her to stop her knees from getting too weak and drooping at his feet."Morning," she stretched out her hand to shake him as a form of deference but he looked at her small palms and did nothing. "Oh that, my palm just likes to stretch out like this. You know?" She demonstrated, concealing her chagrin."Are you ready to go?" Benhail queried."Oh sure, yes I am." She nodded her head in
Emery scoured the bar for her best friend. She finally saw her attending to a customer at the bar counter; her large hazel eyes squinting as she schmoozed with the customer in front of her, she served him a glass of wine and shoved him away with her hands. Emery smiled, she slung her bag over her shoulder and ambled across the front bar to get to Lola. "Hey, can I have a glass of wine?" Emery requested, mounting on the barstool, she giggled, patiently waiting for Lola to lift her head to see her. "Er… What kind of wine do you—?" Lola halted when she saw Emery. "Fuck you, Emery. Where have you been all these years?" She asked boisterously. She hurried to get Emery off the chair, she dragged her to the hallway, jabbing her head, she heaved her on the stool. "Hey, you are just going to calm down, okay?" Emery knew she was mad at her. "No, don't tell me that. You've been off for days and you expect me to calm down? Where the heck have you been, man?" Lola stood arms akimbo, waiting fo
"Meet me at Rocky restaurant at eight, wear a nice dress. Benhail." Emery read out the text that popped up on her screen a few seconds ago. She looked at her sister who was sleeping on the hospital bed and sighed. Thinking through it, she knew she just had to go.She went to the Doctor's office to plead that someone should come to stay with her sister in the ward. The Doctor assured her that Amery would be fine, they'd given her sedatives that would last until midnight. With the assurance that her sister was good, she left the hospital. As she rambled the streets of Texas in the cold night, she made a mental note of all the questions she would be asking Benhail tonight.Firstly, this date or whatever he called her out for wasn't stated in the contract and she didn't understand why he would call her out at that hour of the night. She stopped a cab, gave her house address to the cabman, and hopped in. Clutching her coat tightly to her body, she stared out the window and let the breeze
The incandescent morning sun impaled the window blinds, forming rays above Amery's head as she sat on her bed. Her back was resting on the wall, her countenance was gloomy, and she looked so nervous. It was finally the day of her surgery and she felt she might not make it."Did the Doctor say that I will live? I am so scared, I don't want to die now, Emery." Amery clenched her twin sister's fingers tightly, rubbing her hands on them, she held back a tear from falling. "Why do I feel like it's time for me to die?""Hey, don't say those words. You are not dying now, Doctor Ryan assured me that you will be fine once the tumors are removed." Emery crouched on the bed and hugged her sister. "There is nothing to worry about, you will be fine.""That's what you say all the time, why do I feel you're lying to me?" The tears fell and Emery didn't let go. She caressed her back, trying her best to reassure her that everything will be alright."I won't lie to you about things like this," Emery mu
The tall gate that shielded Benhail's mansion slid open, he drove into the garage and put the car to a halt. Emery swallowed hard in her seat, they gazed at each other at about the same time, both not saying a word. "Welcome to my house," Benhail's voice broke the silence between them. "I have been here before," she said. "Yes, but not to stay. Now, you are here to stay." His words caused a bone in her to jerk. She winced and turned away from him. "The maid will help you with your things, just come with me and I will show you to our room." "Our room?" Her jaw dropped in surprise. "Are we going to share a room?" She asked. "Yes, we are sharing my room. Is there a problem with that?" His eyes furrowed in confusion. "I mean, I don't know. It's good, there is no problem with that." She swallowed hard. There was a problem with that, everything was wrong with that. She kneaded the back of her head and huffed softly. "Let's go." "I was about to," Benhail opened the door, and Emery did
Benhail fumbled with the files that were stacked on his desk, he got hold of one of them and slid it out of the pile. Flipping through the pages, he stopped at one. He glanced carefully at it and turned to face Mariana, his secretary. "What are the complaints you got from the people at the winery?" He asked her. "We have a problem," Mariana shifted on the chair, she placed her hands on her jaw and looked at Benhail. "There has been a very high demand for our blue wine over the months," she peeked through the file on the table. "Yes, I know that. So, how is it a problem?" He asked, urging her to speak up. "We've successfully delivered within and outside Texas and now the problem is," she sighed and clasped her hands together, rubbing her itching eyes, she pulled out her nerd-like glasses. "We are running out of sweetener for that particular wine, the manager called last night to inform me of the shortage in sweetener." She dropped, wearing her glasses back, she adjusted them so they
The Shrill cry of baby Ella woke Emery from her afternoon nap. Tossing on the bed, she groaned and looked at her husband who was busy typing on the computer."Your baby is crying," Emery grumbled, attempting to get out of bed, but her eyes were still heavy. She hadn't slept overnight, baby Ella had been awake all night and she was trying her best to put her to sleep."I just gave her her food," Benhail left what he was doing, walking over to the baby's cot that was in their bedroom. They had moved the baby's cot to the bedroom immediately after Emery was put to bed, two months ago. She was against the idea of keeping her baby in a different room, so Benhail suggested they moved the cot to their room."She won't stop crying," Emery croaked."Get back to sleep, I will get her." He heaved the baby out of his cot and placed a soft kiss on her cheeks. She was tiny, and looked so much like him, exactly like him, making Emery jealous of the fact that she carried her for nine months and she c
Some months later, Emery was dressed in a white chemise, standing in front of the full-length mirror. She stared into the mirror with tears in her eyes."We will be late if you continue to cry." Amery hugged her from the back, handing her a small handkerchief to wipe away the tears that stained her cheeks."I can't believe I am getting married today," Emery gently wiped the tears from her eyes. "Still baffles me.""You should be happy, Emery. There is no reason for you to cry.""I am happy, Amy. I am very happy, and these are tears of joy." She hugged her sister, gently sobbing into her shoulder."I am happy we found happiness, we've been through so much together and we deserve every good thing that's coming our way. Your wedding is today and mine is next month." Amery patted her sister's back. "Our parents will be so proud of us wherever they are.""I wish they were here to witness this day." Emery sobbed, but Amery calmed her down. She went on her knees to feel the baby in Emery's t
"Happy birthday to us." Emery and Amery said in unison, clinking glass against glass. Cheering, they downed the content of the wine and Lola served them another round."To my favourite girls in the whole world, I wish you the very best life has to offer. I love you two so much." She raised the hem of her gown, leaning forward to kiss Emery on the cheeks, after she was done, she moved over to Amery. "Common, let's have a party." She clapped her hands as she walked to the centre of the room to tell the disc jockey to play some nice music.Amery and Emery had virtually the same thing on; the same knee-length straight gown but of different colours. Amery's was red while Emery settled for the pink one, the same pair of silver-coloured stilettos, the same makeup and their hair was done in the same style; they looked elegant and simple at the same time."Oh my, Liam is here." Amery squealed when she sighted Liam walking into the small restaurant they had rented for themselves for that evenin
Benhail was standing in front of her when she swivelled around, she smiled, walking closer to him."How long have you been here?" Emery asked, snaking her arms around him."Since you started coordinating the models." He kissed her cheeks. "You are doing well, but don't stress yourself. The baby doesn't want stress, you know right?" She nodded her head to his words. "And I brought you snacks, I feel like you need them." He handed a bag to her, she took it from him and kissed his cheeks."Thank you, I was hungry." She led him to the couch that was in the lounge. She had stopped hiding the bump since the day she made up with Benhail; she hid it before because she didn't want the words of her pregnancy to spread to him.She placed the polythene bag on the centre table that was in the lounge, she picked one from the croissants, a bit on it and moaned satisfactorily."Tastes very nice," she gave one to him but he refused to take it from her. "Why don't you want to eat with me?" She asked, f
Emery walked into the living room after Benhail dropped her. She met her sister sitting on the couch with her arms curled under her legs. She ignored her, walking into the room to meet Lola but Amery stopped her."Can we talk?" She asked Emery.Emery wanted to say no to her, but she changed her mind about that. She was on good terms with Benhail, things were good again it was because of Amery's effort to bring them back, she owed her one there."I am sorry," she started, staring into her sister's eyes. "I am sorry I went too fast even when you didn't want to. Can you forgive me?" Amery looked into her eyes, biting her lips.Emery smiled, her sister was too cute she couldn't resist her if she was being that way."I was truly worried about you, I am so sorry." She got up from the couch and walked down to sit on the sofa Emery was seated on. "You know we've always looked out for each other and got each other's back, I was just being a good sister, I didn't mean to hurt you." She took her
"Guess it won't work here," Emery drawled. "Let's go home then," he looked into her eyes. She nodded her head in support. He kissed her lips and she got down, sitting back on the car's seat.Benhail started the car, driving at a very fast speed. The bulge between his legs had grown bigger and he couldn't wait anymore, he wanted to be buried deep inside of her, kneading her, thrusting in and out of her as she screamed his name.He arrived home shortly after, Emery kissed him in the car but he pulled away. "Come in with me."She trailed behind him like a lost puppy. He gripped her arms when they got into the house, tugging her closer, he stared into her eyes. "Benhail," she gasped and placed her lips on his. It started gingerly, carefully taking her lips in his and nibbling on them, she snaked her hands around his neck and moaned into his ears. "Please take me, I want you now, Benhail.""I know you do," he ripped her dress off her body in an instant. Emery gasped, giggling after. She
The models all lined up in the same outfit of a strapless long black dress. There was a loud round of applause as they walked down the stage. Emery smiled proudly where she sat, watching them. After the show, she went to address the models. When she was done with them, she strolled outside for fresh hair when she bumped into Anide and Benhail. She was surprised to see her.Anide ran towards her and pulled her into a big hug. "You are doing well and I am so proud of you." She told her."Thank you so much, I learnt from you." She said jokingly, hugging her again. "You didn't tell me you were coming though, I would have made reservations for you." She pouted her lips, ignoring Benhail even though he was standing right in front of her."Oh, I didn't have plans of coming over. Benhail wanted me to come with him." She smiled at Benhail. "And now there is something that interests me, I will see you guys later." She smirked at them, walking towards the photographer.Emery laughed, she turned
The next morning, Emery was dressing up for work when she heard a knock at the door. Lola just left the house and she figured she was the one knocking since she had the habit of forgetting her things at home."What did you forget this time?" Emery opened the door and her eyes met with Benhail's. Her shoulders dropped, and her heart started to beat erratically. She was about to close the door but he stopped her. He grabbed her hands, pulled her inside and slammed the door shut."What are you doing here?" She asked him.His eyes met with hers when he stepped into the room, she looked away from him and repeated. "What are you doing here?""Emery, were you going to keep it away from me forever?" He inched closer to her. "Why didn't you tell me?""Tell you what? What are you talking about?" She feigned confusion. She knew he already figured out about the pregnancy, and she was sure Lola told him about it."Isn't it glaring?" His eyes ogled her body. She looked down to see that she was in
"Hey," Emery smiled at Mariana when she got to her office. "Is your boss in?" She asked."Yes, he is." Mariana stood up to hug Emery. "It's been a while.""Yes, it is," Emery responded. Mariana directed her to sit down. "How have you been and how's your work going?" "Been great!" Mariana smiled, "I heard and saw that you started your fashion brand. Really beautiful, congratulations to you, Emery." "Thank you so much, Mariana. I would have loved you to patronise us but we only deal with plus-sized women.""I heard that too, a very great idea. I am so happy for you. That has always been my dream before I became a secretary to Benhail, but I love my job more now." She fanned herself dramatically."That's cool too." Emery nodded her head. "We agreed to be friends but we don't follow each other on any social media platform. Did Benhail tell you that I have people who can publicise your brand for you?""No, he didn't." She shook her head. "You do have them?" She asked, and Mariana nodded
