Welcome to another chptaer of TTBB!!
Chapter 4 - Hell with the guys, food is my bae!
~~
"I hate you." I grumbled, getting down from the bike with jelly legs and taking deep breaths.
"The feelings mutual muffin." He chuckled, running his hand through his messy hair which actually looked good on him, unlike me, I bet I looked like a Chewbacca on a Roller coaster ride.
"Don't call me muffin." I snapped, gritting my teeth in annoyance.
"Sure muffin." He winked and walked away to the cafe.
I rested my hip on the bike, holding the bike for support as I continued to breathe fresh air. I looked in the mirror, grimacing at the terrible sight looking back at me. Ace had said the cafe was pretty close so there was no need for helmets and now just like I had thought my hair looked so much like a pigeon's nest or a Chewbacca's head. I hurriedly ran my hand through them, trying to set it up and not succeeding. I sighed wondering why I told Ace not do to rash driving. I should have told to do rash drive. The more you tell him not do it, the more he will do it.
"Hey ya coming muffin?"
See.
I turned to face his smirking face. Rolling my eyes I walked to him. "Keep calling me muffin you egoistical deaf jerk." I muttered under my breath.
"You said something?"
"Me? Nah, never." I replied smiling sweetly at him.
"So- I am not paying for you." He said, the second we sat on the wooden chairs.
"Such a sweet gentleman." I grunted.
He shrugged. "This isn't a date, why should I?"
"It's okay, I can pay for myself. I don't even expect a certified jerk like you to pay for me."
"Ouch." He sighed dramatically, putting his hand on his chest. "Are you ever out of insults?"
"No, they come naturally to me when I see your face."
"Well at least insults come to you because I am sure guys don't." He snorted.
"What would you like to eat?" A waitress asked before I had a chance to slap him.
I looked up to place my order only to find out she was asking the question to Ace. Her eyes practically eye raped him. With blond hair and green eyes, she looked alluring. Not to mention the neckline of her glossy blue top was pulled a little too low, showing a hell lot of cleavage. For a girl of her age, her breasts were huge.
I guess Botox is pretty popular. I looked back at Ace and smiled when I noticed his eyes on the menu instead of those over blown balloons. I cleared my throat, gaining the girl's attention as well as a deathly glare.
What are you doing with him? Screamed her glare. I ignored her glare.
"I would like a cup of latte, a small Burger with extra cheese and an apple pie." I glanced at her name tag. "Julie." I drawled slyly.
She glared at me some more, before rolling her eyes obnoxiously. Once again she turned to Ace, who was watching our exchange with amusement filled eyes.
"What would you like?" She asked seductively and I had a feeling she didn't mean the food.
"Same, but a huge burger with extra cheese." He ordered, giving his million-dollar-smirk-like-smirk to her.
I heard her gasp in fascination at the beautiful curve of his lips. She almost drooled. If I wasn't already used to it, I would have done the same. She blinked twice before turning red in face and walking away hurriedly to get our order. Her hips swaying invitingly. Way to be discrete.
Even a blind man can see you want his D!
"You know if you weren't here, I would be with her in the backroom busy by now." He said, drumming his fingers with no rhythm on the wooden table.
I wrinkled my nose in pure distaste. "How charming! But then nothing less can be expected from you."
"Your sarcasm is entertaining."
"Tell me something I don't know."
"Fan of Selena Gomez." He stated rather than asking.
"She's pretty good, but I love that sentence so I use it." I shrugged, getting irked by the constant noise of his fingers against the table.
He smirked knowingly and increased the speed of his fingers.
I bit my lip, trying not to lash out at him.
"Can you stop it?" I asked in an infuriated voice after a few minutes of the constant torture.
His fingers stopped and for a second I believed that he wouldn't continue again. But then he smiled slyly. "No." And continued producing the tuneless and irritating noise.
I gritted my teeth sending him my best glare but he didn't faze, instead he winked at me. Freaking winked.
What an ass! I can't wait to feed the hungry baby sharks his flesh.
Soon Julie came with our orders and placed all the plates instead of him. Excuse me! I would like my plates in front of me. I wanted to say but kept quite not wanting to get in a vocal fight with her.
She kept a tissue container in the center even though our table had one already and then took out another tissue from her cleavage, passing it to Ace. My eyes widened in horror and I felt something burn in my stomach - vomit. What a slut, he is clearly sitting with a girl and she is flirting non-stop. I clamped my mouth shut, trying not to puke. I had seen girls giving numbers to guys but it was either directly or stuck under the tray. From inside her top? I am never going to able to look at tissues the same way.
Ace took the tissue willingly, even winking at her. She winked back and without sparing a glance at me she walked away, moving her hips and flicking her hair deliberately.
I turned my eyes Ace who had already torn the tissue in half. My jaw dropped down. "You already saved her number? That's fast. You must be used to it."
His mouth twisted in a scowl. "Nope. She's not my type." He pushed my tray towards me.
"And what's your type then?" I asked in serious curiosity. Ace had a type in girls? That's new.
He seemed to think for a minute. "The ones which don't exist."
I nodded my head in understanding, of course those were his type. Never born.
Who would put with such a prick? Not me, nah, never.
We ate our food in silence, it wasn't awkward but it wasn't comfortable either. We both didn't know what to say and had our attention focused on the food. I ate the burger hurriedly, mentally moaning at the taste of cheese.
Hell with the guys, food is my bae!
Instinctively my mind went to the time spent with him today. It wasn't as bad as I had expected it to go. In fact it was quite good compared to the rumors I had heard, only because he didn't kill me or touch me. Although I never believed rumors without any proof but then rumors about Ace were pretty easy to believe.
He had made that type of an image - a guy involved in drugs, street fights, vandalism, robberies, murders and whatnot. But sitting in front of him, he looked like any other average high school guy minus the black leather jacket and the tattoo of skull on his nape and another tattoo of some words on his left upper arm and other tattoos probably somewhere else too — okay so maybe he wasn't that average but he sure didn't look like the guy who would be involved in every illegal thing.
"Done?"
"Huh?!" I blinked, muttering unintelligibly.
Ace pointed at my empty plate. "Are you done or do you want something more to feed your stomach demon?"
I scowled at him, I didn't even eat that much. "I am done."
"Good." He stated, getting up and placing his share of money. I took out the money from my pocket and kept my share on his. "No tip?" I asked.
He debated for a minute, before taking out a tissue and scribbling some numbers on it.
What. The. Hell?
"I thought she isn't your type." I accused as we walked outside.
"She isn't."
I opened my mouth to retort but shut it back. I didn't want him thinking I was a jealous girlfriend or something. That would simply be preposterous and revolting and of course completely fictional.
We stepped out and I ignored the group of girls salivating over Ace. I rolled my eyes I heard some girl mutter, 'Go and ask him on a date, It's a dare.' I turned to face them and smiled sweetly, they instantly blushed in embarrassment and turned their backs to us. Jeez they seemed to be just in middle school and were already into such stuff. Girls of today, I tell you.
"Bike again." I grimaced, touching my hair again.
"I thought you liked bikes." He taunted.
"I still do. I just don't like the way you drive."
"No rash this time." He somewhat promised, getting on the bike.
"Hopefully." I mumbled as I sat behind him.
"Don't hold me too tight. I couldn't breathe last time." I could see the teasing glint in his eyes, making me blush in humiliation.
"You were too fast. I usually don't hold that tight." I told truthfully. If he would have driven like a respectable citizen, I would only have to hold his shoulders. But after a few seconds I realized, I would go flying back if my arms didn't encircle his waist. So to save myself from the face of death I had wrapped my arms tightly around him.
"I am sure you loved being that close to me." He said haughtily.
I rolled my eyes and snorted. "You wish. It felt like being close to a horrible smelling mushroom."
He turned and gave me flat look. "Mushroom?"
"Whatever."
He shook his head. "Hold on tight muffin." Before I could smack him for calling me some kind of a cake, he started his bike, going in full speed.
My arms automatically went around his stomach, making sure not too hold too tight. His hair flew in my mouth making my face turn into a look of repulsion. I removed one hand from his waist, slapping his hair back into its place.
"Wear helmet next time. Your hair doesn't taste good." I said making a face.
"They aren't supposed to eaten."
"I can't help it. They flew into my mouth!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, want something else in your mouth too?" He asked successively.
I wrinkled my nose in disgust. "Eww. Go to that cafe girl, she'll be willing."
"Aww muffin is jealous."
I snorted. Yeah right. Jealous of a walking STD. Instead of replying him, I closed my eyes and felt the warm air smack into my face, making my hair fly backwards, making me giddy in a good way. I always loved bike rides; they give me sense of euphoria and a rush of adrenaline.
Feel the freedom as you race the wind.
I wanted to learn to ride a bike but the first day of my learning lesson, I fell and got a scar on my knee. After that incidence I have always preferred sitting behind and enjoying the ride.
"Reached." Ace informed, stopping the bike.
I got down from the bike, wiping the non-existent dust from my jeans. I glanced at the mirror and sighed in defeat when I was the situation of my hair. It could easily be promoted as a new Chewbacca hairstyle. Something fell when Ace got down and I bent to pick it up. I froze as I saw it. A box of cigarettes.
"You really smoke?" I asked in disbelief, staring at the box that screamed 'Smoking is injurious' and yet people kept attempting suicides. There were people who said he smoked but I had never seen him, so I just assumed he didn't. Now holding the packet of cigarettes in my hand I felt an instant dislike towards him.
Smoking is never the solution for anything. In fact it simply adds more problems.
If you're hurt or angry or depressed, go dance and catch fishes or something. Don't smoke.
He shrugged like it was no biggie. "Sometimes."
I took deep breath, controlling myself from snapping at him. It didn't matter whatever he did. It was his life. Let him spoil it. "Okay. Here are your cancer sticks." I simply said, handing him the box and walking away to the door.
I knew he had not locked the door since no one would be robbing a place like this. I pushed my books inside the bag and hung it around my shoulder. Feeling his presence behind me, I turned to face him with a blank expression. "Let me know when to tutor you next and if you are even going to come and help in the school fest tomorrow." I gave him a tight smile before making my way to my car.
I started my car and drove out from the parking lot. I glanced quickly one last time at the front door to find Ace standing there with a stiff yet confused face. His hand still held the box of cancer sticks.
I shook my head and drove towards the house. I didn't want to see those cancer sticks ever again.
They will not be the reason of my heartache again.

How's the story so far??
Chapter 5 - Sean. Sean O'Connell.~~The fault in our stars.I sniffed into another tissue as I ended the book. Why didn't anyone tell me it wassosad? I knew it was sad but this sad... gah! Thank God I didn't see the movie, they would have thrown me out for crying and wailing like a baby. I don't like sad books or movies, probably that's why I have never seen or read 'A walk to remember'. But despite the end the book was overall splendid even if it bought a bucket full of tears to my eyes. I looked at the small heap of wet tissues and grimaced, so maybe I am an extremely emotional female but the book was also equally sad. How I hate sad endings!Books take you into a different world and if they can't make you smile, laugh, scream in exasperation and cry then it's not a great book. But happy endings are better and... happier.I sighed as I changed into my denim shorts. I needed
Chapter 6 - The shy ones have more hidden desires.~~Bored...And beyond angry. An extremely bad and dangerous combination and I was experiencing both.I glared at Bryan's head as he played another game of Subway Surfers. This is what he would do - write one step of a math sum then play Subway Surfers or Temple Run and just before the last step of the sum, he would play Larva Link. It basically took 30 minutes to do one small differentiation problem.Fun. Not.I tapped my foot angrily on the ground, wondering why I even agreed to tutor this idiot. Oh yeah, because I am afraid of Mrs. Finn and her anger atoms. She needs Anger management classes. School is pure torture with her in it. Correction: School is pure torture with or without her.I sighed glancing at the small hall again, by now I had literally memorized every tiny detail of this rotten cottage. I knew there was a hole just beside the t
Chapter 7 - We all have a kinky inner demon.~~My bucket list was made when I was drunk for the first and last time in sophomore year. Everything written in it was rebellious and dangerous and completely of my brains. Safe to say I had hardly completed any of it.For two years it was kept it in some dark corner of my locker but it probably isn't there now because the person standing in front of me was waving it in the air happily like it was a country flag.I had come to the cottagehurriedly, all the way tormenting my brains wondering why he had called me in such haste, only to find an extremely elated Ace standing at the door with a paper in one hand, waiting impatiently for me to get out of the car. Eyes shining with amusement and huge smirk on the lips that made his cheekbones more prominent. If I wasn't so pissed I would have swooned."I will not repeat it again. Give back my bucket list Bryan fudging Cooper." I or
Chapter 8 - You are way better.~~"Is everything ready?" Ace asked, looking at us.We all nodded our heads in affirmation."This should be fun." Dylan grinned then turned to me, giving me a bigger grin. "Thanks Joanna, if it weren't for your bucket list this wouldn't have happened."I waved my hand in dismal, "its okay. In fact thanks to Bryan for stealing my list and I am honestly quite enjoying this." I saw a small smile creep up on Ace's face on his otherwise his expressionless face.I remembered his text from yesterday.Nothing ever happened. My foot nothing happened. He can say that when I kick his balls and feed them to the sharks.I sighed, glancing around. Logan, Alan and Max had gone to Mrs. Finn's house late night yesterday to cover her brand new Mercedes with pastel and neon post-it notes. The front was covered in pink, yellow and light blue. The sides in orange and gree
Here's a new one!! Just for ya! ;)--towers fall, Bin Laden killed, Michael Jackson die, a royal wedding between a prince and a commoner, 9 planets become 8, survived Y2K and the Mayan apocalypse, and most importantly, the Coronavirus. I'm not even 25 yet.I grinned as I read the Instagram post instantly double tapping on it. I felt a pair of curious eyes on me and turned to face Ace looking at me intensely."What are you smiling at?" He asked, coming closer and sitting beside me on the couch.I shrugged and showed him the post."True." He agreed and then frowned. "But what is Y2K?"I scanned my brain for the information. "It was the Year 2000 Problem, a problem for both digital and non-digital situations which resulted from the practice of abbreviating a four-digit year to two digits." I replied. He grinned mischievously. "Scholar good muffin!"I rolled my eyes, a small smiling creeping up my face. "It's common sense o
Chapter 10 - We'll never be friends.~~It's kind of easy to know if a guy likes you.∞ He will stare discreetly at you.∞ He will try to be nice and sweet with you.∞ He will try to kiss you and be near you.∞ He will constantly find reasons to text you or talk to you.∞ His friends might tease him with your name.Hogwash.What if he's glaring and not staring? What if he's rude exactly five minutes after being nice to you? What if he's ignoring you after trying to suck your face? What if he texts and talks only when he needs something? What if his friends don't even talk about you to him? What the hell does all this mean? That means you are looking too much into things and spoiling your already spoilt mood. Overthinking causes more problems and kills your happiness. My mind answered.I groaned s
Chapter 11 - Don't reply with a K.~~"Why can't she just reply me?" Alan screamed in frustration, glowering at his phone as he paced from one end of the room to the other. That's what he had been doing since the past 10 minutes, after not getting any reply from Celia.I rolled my eyes at his impatience. "When did she message you?"He paused for a minute, looking at his phone. "Uh about 50 minutes back.""Alan, there are some rules for texting a girl." I explained, pointing my right forefinger at him while I counted on the left hand. "1) Don't take more than 30 minutes to reply. 2) Don't reply with a K. 3) Use good grammar. 4) Ask questions. 5) Use Smileys but limited. ""Now you know why I didn't reply you yesterday." Janice hollered, throwing a pillow at a surprised Dylan."Hey, I didn't know those rules." Dylan defended, throwing the pillow back at her."What did he do?" Logan asked, smirking at
Chapter 12 -You are my favorite bitch to bitch about bitches with.~~I stared at Ace and then at Sean and then again at Ace and Sean. Step-brothers? Could it be? I looked for any familiarities but other than their incredibly hot physiques and drool-worthy looks, found none. I didn't even know Ace had some step-parent."I have a step-mother." Ace answered, making me wonder how he knew just what I was thinking about it."Oh." I said. Does this mean I've been kind of flirting with both step-brothers? Ugh.There was a silence that surpassed the noises of students playing, eating, having fun faded and my mind revolved around the new information. It was deafening. I needed space to think clearly, to face them again. When you're told something so shocking, even the act of acting normal fails."I uh-need to go to pee, badly." I spoke hastily and not waiting for their replies, I faded into the surrounding sw
Thank you for being such an amazing reader! I love you! Epilogue "Oh my god! Push it harder." I groaned. "I am trying." Bryan said breathlessly. "Try harder and do it fast." "Why don't you move and help me too?" He huffed, trying to push it deeper. I smiled slickly, spreading my legs wider on the bed. "Because this is the guy's job." He gritted his teeth and with one last push it finally reached inside. We both exhaled in contentment. "Finally." "I told you it was too big to enter." Bryan said smugly. I just rolled my eyes. "But it did right?" "Thank god you two finally managed to push the damn box inside the drawer." Logan remarked, entering the room. I stuck out my tongue. "The guest bed and couch are in place?" He nodded. "Yeah though Alan and Ian did most of it. Since my leg is still unfit." He grinned haughtily. "Please it's been almost two years since that incident and we all know you can run a marathon now." I snorted, smacking his back. Logan smirked. "Hey don't
The last chapter! :( Who else is sad this is ending??? -- Chapter 33 - Wrap it before you tap it. ~~ It was awkward. Super-duper awkward. I glanced through my eyelids as my dad shifted on the beige colored couch, picking up his coffee mug from the table all the while glaring at the extremely uncomfortable Bryan, or at least trying his best to glare. Connor sat beside my dad stifling a smile. I and mom were huddled on the opposite chair, glancing nervously at the scene playing in front of us. "So..." My dad cleared his throat, pausing as he thought of something to say. "Your name is Bryan." And that is what he comes up with! To say my father couldn't interview my boyfriend was the biggest understatement. "Yeah." Bryan nodded, touching his blue shirt collar anxiously. This was probably the first time he was wearing a shirt that too with a tie. He looked pretty hot and I would have kissed him senselessly if my father wasn't in front trying his best to act strict. "Why are you
Chapter 32 - The python turned into a butterfly. ~~ I hated hospitals. The smell of bleach filled my nose and I wrinkled it, not liking the smell even a bit. The corridors seemed stuffy as families huddled in corners weeping and hugging each other. The walls so empty and plain reflected the lives of many people present here. The floor shined brightly, way too brightly as the workers kept wiping it even though it was more than clean. Nurses moved swiftly, only stopping to give sympathetic smiles. Doctors rushed all over the place, their faces twisted with tension. My blank eyes drank in the scene without any emotion. I felt hollow and extremely guilty. My back pressed against the wall and my hands buried in my pockets, I knew I never wanted to come back to hospitals again. "No! Please try. He can't die yet. Just try one more time. I beg you, please." I blinked at the commotion. A young lady with a small boy in her hands wept uncontrollably as she begged an old doctor to save some
Are you ready!?--Chapter 31 - I had even chosen my wedding dress and names for our babies.~~"Kill Anastasia.""No, grab her.""Just shoot her in the head.""Are you crazy? We need her alive."Alan and Ian fought as they gripped a furious Anastasia's arms tightly while Connor, Logan and Max were busy fighting the bodyguards. Dylan was throwing punches at Riyaz and Blacky was hitting Scar-face. Wait! What? Blacky is on our side? Woah.My eyes finally settled on Bryan who was regarding me with cautious eyes. I allowed my eyes to roam all over him. Those messed up hair, honey brown eyes, kissable lips, thin layer of beard over his jaw, the way his red tee clung to his sweaty chest and his faded black jeans. He was a tremendous sight and all mine. Just as I was about to run to him and kiss him senselessly something hit my back from behind.I turned and saw Mr. Unfamiliar’s back to me
Yay! New one!Comment, comment!Chapter 30 - Everyone has the right to be stupid, you just abuse the privilege.~~"Go deeper inside until you hit the spot."Ian snorted and I bit my lip in attempt to control my laughter. Oh yes, apparently minds works in a ridiculously dirty way when bored. Mr. Unfamiliar slapped Ian's back as a warning and I pressed my lips together fighting the bubbling laughter."Make sure they reach there. No more drama. I'll call the others." Mr. Unfamiliar said to Alan and walked off.As soon as he disappeared round the corner, Ian and I burst into laughter."Go deeper inside." Ian repeated walking ahead. "We are all going deeper inside, it'ssohuge."I laughed even more, clutching my stomach. "Shut up Ian and find thespot.""Go right." Alan said from behind us and I detected masked laughter.
Chapter 29 - Your password is so predictable.~~I was still looking at my once best friend, Alan McCarthy, in utter bewilderment and distress when Ace stepped towards him, punching him square on the face.I didn't do anything to protest. I couldn't. I was frozen in complete shock."You are a pathetic excuse for a friend." He snarled.Alan stumbled back from the punch but held himself together. The blank vile expression on Alan's face didn't change. He spat on the ground and looked at Ace with so much hatred that it even shook me to the cores."You are a pathetic excuse for a gang member." Alan sneered. I blinked my eyes hoping that the Alan I knew would come back.Where was the friend who held me when I fell in my freshman gym sessions? Where was the friend who made me smile when I was feeling low? Where was the friend whom my mother adored and let him have the cookies even though he dropped crumbs all over the floor
Are you mentally prepared for this? Are you? Are you?I don't think you are.But legoooooooooooooooooooooooo!Chapter 28 - Just because we had sex doesn't mean you can control me.~~"So what are we doing here?" I asked Ace, settling on his bed in Indian style."Why? Completing your bucket list of course." He informed smirking and removing a well folded paper from his back pocket."Do you keep it with you all the time?" I pressed my lips together, finding it rather amusing. He simply winked at me and sat beside me, keeping the open paper in front of me.I glanced through the old and yet immaculate paper.Joanna's Bucket list: (If found do not read)✔1)Scream from the terrace of a high building on why I love Disney movies.2) Compliment every sad looking person on the road.
Chapter 27 - I smell babies.~~"Dylan is so sweet!" Janice gushed over the phone."Oh yeah? Did you eat him?" I joked as I drew funny patterns on the bed."Haha very funny." She said in a flat voice which instantly changed to excitement in her next words. "He took me to this new water park, the one which recently opened, you know the one which we were planning to go? Yeah that one. He took me there, he knew how much I love water rides. Isn't that sweet?!""I think it was just because he wanted to see you in a bikini." I scoffed. There was a mild pause. "I hate you."I chuckled. "I hate you more.""Fine bye."Rolling my eyes, I sat up knowing this conversation would last for at least an hour. "Drama queen. Give details."And then like predicted, my next one hour was spent in listening to every minute detail of her date, including the number of times he 'accidentally' touched her arm and stomach.&n
Chapter 26 - P-A-S-T. Previous Asset Successfully Thrown.~~I stared at the person I never thought I'd meet. I stared at her hour glass figure and elegantly dressed fashion and then looked at my dark blue sweatshirt and white shorts. I instantly felt insecure. I couldn't even blame Bryan for falling for her. She was drop dead gorgeous.I blinked a few times, hoping she would disappear. But she didn't in fact she was coming straight at me.A cherry topping to my already bad day. Awesome.I debated with my inner self on whether I should just turn away and walk off, acting like I never saw her or stand there and hear her heart wrenching words. Something inside me stopped me from moving, my legs didn't seem to cooperate at all."Joanna." Her voice was surprisingly soft but the snide smile on her face screamed fake."Anastasia." I greeted back with the same fake smile."I thought I would never get a chance to meet
