“How did you find Avalon?” he asked.
“We are just starting to explore the place and so far, it’s exciting,” Trevor replied with exaggerated, almost unnatural, enthusiasm.
April G once again regarded her with distaste.
“Are you originally from Avalon?” she asked the professor, ignoring April G altogether.
“No, I actually come from Phoenix,” he replied.
“Really? How long have you been in Avalon?” Liz asked.
“I got appointed as a professor a year and a half ago. Once here, I also published two papers with the Archaeological Institute of Avalon and then volunteered for a position in the research department of the institute,” he said.
