"Happy birthday, Sabrina."
I smiled widely at the congratulations from the guests at my birthday party. It was my eighteenth birthday when I came of age and was considered as an adult werewolf.
"Congratulations, Beta Samuel! Your daughter is all grown up now. Soon she'll be Luna, you must be so proud of her," said one of the guests who shook the hand of my father who had been standing beside me the whole time.
I glanced with a blushing face at my father.
"If Mellisa were still alive, she also would be so proud of you," the guest said again, this time rubbing my shoulder gently as if to express his concern that I was growing up without a mother.
I smiled wryly. Since my mother's death, I've received this kind of sympathy a lot, even though I didn't feel too sad because my father had always tried his best for me and made sure I grew up as a graceful lady with dignity and became Luna who could take care of our pack.
Since childhood, as a Beta's daughter, I had been prepared to marry our pack's Alpha and become The Luna.
To avoid the atmosphere turning gloomy because of what the guest had said, I excused myself to meet with other party guests.
I wandered around the house pack where my party was held, looking for my best friend who should be here.
"Tania!” I called out when I saw her brown hair in her trademark bun.
Tania turned towards me with a startled look. It seemed like she was surprised to hear her name being shouted by someone.
When I got closer, I could see someone who was with Tania at that moment.
It was Magnus! Alpha Magnus.
He was the successor to the former Alpha and also my future husband.
"Hey, Magnus. When did you come? Why don't you congratulate me on the stage?" I asked.
Magnus' face lit up. He immediately grabbed my hand and looked at me from head to toe.
"You're so beautiful Sabrina. I feel like a very lucky man tonight," he said admiringly.
"Don't change the subject, answer my question first," I said even though my cheeks were burning from his praise.
"Ah, I was going to congratulate you as soon as I arrived, but Tania said there were too many people waiting in line, so I followed her suggestion and waited here with her. Besides, we already celebrated your coming of age at twelve last night at your house." Magnus replied without releasing my hand from his grasp.
It was true. Magnus and his parents came to my house last night and celebrated my birthday together with my father and Tania, my best friend.
This Housepack party was just a formality to celebrate my birthday with the other pack members.
"So I decided to be patient and wait until the party is over before kidnapping you to my room tonight," Magnus continued, winking one of his eyes.
My cheeks blushed red again at his words. It was on the night of my coming of age that I was supposed to mate with the Alpha and solidified my position as his lover before our marriage and become The Luna.
All this time, Magnus had always held back when we were alone together. I was three years younger than him. When I turned eighteen today, Magnus was already twenty-one. It's not easy for a manly guy like him to hold back his desires for this long.
"Cough... cough," I heard Tania's voice clear her throat.
Thank God, thanks to her I was able to control myself and stop acting like a sultry woman who couldn't wait to mate with the Alpha.
"Please save your intimacy for later in the room," she said, coldly after hearing our conversation. I knew she was just pretending to be annoyed when in fact she was just as happy with our relationship as she had been telling me all this time.
"Sorry, Tania. I didn't mean to ignore you. I'm glad you're keeping Magnus company while I'm still busy with the other guests," I said gratefully.
"No problem, I'm always happy to help you Sabrina, that's what best friends are for," she replied with a gentle smile on her lips.
I am very grateful to have a best friend like Tania. Although she comes from a not so famous Delta family, she is nice and fun to have around.
My father also very concerned about Tania and her family. We always provided financial support and helped Tania's family move to a better area in our territory so that she and her family could have a better life.
Tania and I had been good friends since I was a child. She always helped me through the hard times when I was brought up to be the future Luna of our pack.
She always comforted me and encouraged me to keep my spirits up and make my father and late mother proud.
As an only child with no siblings, I loved Tania like my own sister. I thought Tania feels the same way about me.
"Sabrina!" I heard my father's voice calling me over the loudspeaker.
"Ack, looks like I have to go back to the stage. See you later Tania, Magnus," I said frantically.
I briefly glanced at Magnus who was also throwing a mischievous smile at me. I quickly walked away from them before my face turned even redder as I remembered what we were going to do after this party was over.
My birthday party went well and everyone went home satisfied. I leaned my body on the soft sofa, feeling tired.
"Sabrina, I know you're tired, but it's not time for you to rest yet."
I turned to my father who was getting ready to leave the Housepack with the rest of the guests.
"Hurry up to shower and get ready to spend your night with our Alpha tonight, these omegas will help you," my father continued, making me feel nervous again.
I just nodded slowly.
With some omegas' help, I showered and got ready. They put me in a dreamy evening gown and dressed me up in seductive makeup. They also sprayed a little perfume, which they said could arouse the Alpha's desire.
Once I was ready, I was escorted to the innermost hallway of the Housepack. Where the private room for the Alpha is located.
If the Alpha was not at his parents house, then he would stay in this Housepack, in the innermost special room.
The omegas left me nervously walking through the dimly lit hallway alone.
But, as I approached the room, I heard voices that made me wonder.
"Aaah..." a woman's voice was heard moaning softly.
"Hrrrmm..." followed by a man's voice growling with pleasure.
I was confused, why were there other couples using this room? Only the Alpha should be allowed to use it.
Feeling annoyed, I opened the door to see who dared to do it on the night of my coming of age.
But I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
My best friend and my future husband were making love ferociously on that bed right in front of my eyes.
I could no longer contain my anger and finally screamed.
"What the hell!!! What are you guys doing?!”
"Grrrh ..."I heard Magnus growl as his hips didn't stop thrusting his manhood into Tania's body.I covered my mouth with one hand. My tears flowed down my face as I looked at Tania who was glance at me with a face filled with pleasure. The sound of sighs kept coming out of Tania's mouth who held Magnus' body tighter and tighter as if to tell me that Magnus was already hers."Magnus," my voice caught in my throat."Grrrr ..."A growl was all I heard in response, as if Magnus wanted to signal to me that he didn't want to be disturbed.I couldn't bear to witness their betrayal anymore and it seemed like my voice couldn't come out to stop them.I finally decided to leave. The omegas who had escorted me were surprised when I ran past them crying.I didn't care about my appearance at that time. I was only wearing an evening gown while running barefoot.Slam!I was too busy running and my long, flowing brunette hair was blocking my view, I couldn't see clearly. As a
"Nice to meet you, Tyler. Thank you for having me here."I looked into his blue eyes. It was as if I was looking in the mirror when I saw my face reflected there. There was a familiar sense that I was feeling right now. The feeling that came as soon as I met Tyler. It felt like the whole world was quiet, not a single soul but the two of us. It was as if I could feel his breathing, hear his heartbeat, smell every inch of his body.Seeing the look on Tyler's face, I felt like he felt the same way. It was as if there was a magical force that bound us, that made us feel happy just by being with each other.I felt this feeling was so familiar and made me feel safe. It's as if all the anxiety and problems of my life evaporated instantly."Sabrina, you are my fate mate," he whispered as we both held hands.I gasped. Fate mate? Is that true? All this time I thought the Moon Goddess' fateful bond was just a myth. But this feeling I'm feeling right now, this mate bond, is it true?"Sabrina, do
"I don't want to marry her. I don't love her," I said, breaking the quietness at the dinner table. It's been a long time since I raised my voice, let alone shouted at my parents. I could even hear the pounding of my own heartbeat.I knew it wasn't just me who was surprised to hear my loud voice; even my mother looked at me with wide-eyed astonishment."Magnus, sit down now! You will shame our family with such disrespect," Mother shouted, her voice cutting through the night air.I, not bothered by Mother's outburst, stayed defiant. “All you care just about shame, Mother? It's about my happiness. I won't marry to someone I don't love. I love Sabrina, not Tania,” I insisted, my voice determined. That’s right. I feel that my words are right because I am protecting my feelings and my future. How could those words come out of my mother's mouth? It only ignited my anger further, making me believe that if I don't stand up for the truth I believe in, then who will?BAM! Father slam
"What do you care? That’s none of your business. I'm no longer a member of your pack. I don't want to hear your nonsense. Never talk to me again!" My steps halted as I heard the voice of a woman I loved not far from where I stood. And after passing by a pillar of this auditorium building, I could see that the figure confronting her was Alpha Magnus!"But, Sabrina, just listen ..." denied Magnus which was immediately cut off by Sabrina, “In my whole life, I always listen to you. I believe my duty has ended!” My chest throbbed painfully hearing Sabrina's words with her trembling voice. Unconsciously, my legs took a step forward, but I could then regain control of myself by thinking, “If I intervene now, wouldn't I appear selfish and as if I want to control Sabrina? Ah, I better let them settle their past first.""I wish I had the ability to turn back time, Sabrina. I don't know what else I can prove to you that I still love you," Magnus pleaded. I gripped the edge of a plate of tap
"Luna, there's a big problem! Please help us in the Housepack!"I was startled to hear a woman's shout from the courtyard. Who in broad daylight would disturb my peaceful rest?"Luna, can you come with me now?" the voice shouted again when I finally appeared before her."What's wrong?" I asked in a haughty manner. I was Luna now. After all, there was a certain dignity I had to maintain."There was a landslide in the eastern region that caused great damage. The landslide victim refugees have filled the Housepack and we're having trouble accommodating them," the woman replied explaining the situation.I recognized that woman. She was one of the renowned healers. Back then, before I became Luna, my mother and I used to help her at the healing center."Alright, I'll be there right now," I replied, still with a haughty attitude.I then signaled the omegas who were now serving me every day to follow me to Housepack.Arriving there, I was surprised to see so many shabby-looking people fillin
"Thank goodness, Alpha, we have successfully evacuated the victims who could be saved."I heard a shout from one of my subordinates about the success of our evacuation operation."Alright, please provide a proper burial for the deceased victims!" I commanded. After giving that order, I bid farewell to all members of the Black Fur warrior pack and headed home.I felt really tired when I got home. It had been a long day, dealing with pack problems, sorting out arguments, and helping with the aftermath of the landslide. As I stepped into the house, I saw Tania bustling about, a forced enthusiasm on her face. She smiled at me and said, "Magnus, you won't believe how my day went!"I didn’t really pay attention of what she said, thinking about a lot of responsibilities on my plate.Tania kept talking, not discouraged by my lack of excitement. "I organized the relief efforts for the victims of the landslide. Coordinated with the healers, distributed supplies, and ensured everything ran smoot
“If only I could live longer …,” I thought.I walked through the dense forest, the weight of the curse lingering heavily on my shoulders.I had decided to seek the guidance of the pack’s shaman, desperate for a solution to the affliction that haunted me.The shaman's residence appeared ahead, a small hut nestled amidst ancient trees. The air felt heavy with mystic energies as I approached, a mix of hope and anxiety churning within me. I knocked on the wooden door, which creaked open slowly."Ah, Alpha,” the shaman greeted with a knowing look. "I sensed your presence. Come in, my Precious Leader.”The interior of the hut was dimly lit by the flickering flame of a single candle. Various mystical artifacts adorned the shelves, attesting to the shaman's deep connection with the spiritual realm. I hesitated for a moment before entering, the gravity of my predicament weighing on me."I seek your guidance, wise one," I spoke, my voice filled with a mix of determination and desper
"I can't marry you because you'll suffer as my wife."Tyler's words just now took me by surprise. What did he mean? I looked straight into his eyeballs that still contained the reflection of my face.I could see the tinge of anxiety in that gaze. I never doubted for a moment that Tyler loved me. I was sure there was always a good intention in his every word."Are you going to explain to me what you meant by those words just now? Honestly, you scare me Tyler," I said as I took his hand to convince him to talk to me.Tyler sighed. He looked away for a moment before finally starting to explain what he meant."Sabrina, I am a cursed Alpha.""What do you mean Tyler?" I asked not understanding."Long ago, when I was a child, a witch cursed me to die at the age of 27," he replied."At first we didn't think the curse was real. But the same curse killed one of our werewolves and now we all believe in my curse," he continued.I gripped Tyler's hand tighter and tighter. I could hear the tremor i
