Chapter 14

She signed the rental contract the next morning and moved in with the three little ones.

Meanwhile, Tony was trying to find out the background of this physician through a variety of channels. He was actively trying to communicate with the physician too, but all the messages he sent went unread and unanswered. He could not even get the reason for rejection.

It was very tense in the suite.

Sean had never been fooled by anyone like this before!

He had to find out what was happening exactly.

That was until Tony had suddenly received an anonymous e-mail from overseas.

The e-mail said that the physician they had been looking for had returned to Northfolk! All the information was in the mail. If needed, they could pay a visit to the physician personally to ask for help.

It had the physician’s personal information in it too. Tony opened the attached documents suspiciously as he doubted the authenticity of this e-mail. After all, it was something that he could not find out about despite his effortful attempts. Now that someone had voluntarily offered it to them, he could not help but think twice.

A photo of a woman was the first thing he saw when he clicked in.

Coincidentally, they knew who that woman was. It was the sharp-tongued woman from yesterday!

Tony was shocked after seeing the photo.

He flipped the laptop around and said, “The physician is the woman from yesterday.”

Sean looked at the photo on the screen and finally understood what she meant by “you are the one who’s trying to gain something from me!”

Clearly, she had already known that he was the one who asked her to treat him.

That was why she said such things. Besides, it was why the physician refused to treat him suddenly after she left.

Sean smirked and sneered after he figured everything out.

Tony rushed to the room next door to apologize immediately after he knew that she was the physician.

But when he left his room, he saw a housekeeping cart parked in front of the room next door, and the door was left wide open. He walked inside and saw a housekeeper cleaning the room. The luggage in the room was gone!

“Where did the guest go?” He asked with a glimmer of hope. ‘I hope it’s not too late!’

“She had already checked out,” The housekeeper answered truthfully.

The housekeeper’s words crushed Tony’s hope.

The physician they had been looking for everywhere was just staying next door!

Tony went back to the suite in disappointment and told Sean about it, “She left.”

Sean’s face did not look too good either after hearing that. He then said in a deep tone, “If she doesn’t want to treat me, forget it!”

There was no use for him to keep pestering her since she had already made her decision. It was pointless for him to not give up. His gaze fell on his legs as he grabbed them with his bony hands, but he could not feel anything!

Be that as it may, there was still a tad of unwillingness that flashed across Sean’s eyes.

Tony persuaded him immediately, “No way! Mr. Anderson, the anonymous e-mail, claimed that this physician is very famous and has a lot of successful cases overseas. I looked it up, and everything about her was genuine and true! There’s a great chance for you to stand again if she treated you!”

Sean’s expression looked even worse after hearing what Tony just said.

But he had no choice but to compromise for the sake of his legs.

“Go search her up and find out where that woman is staying!” Sean gritted his teeth and said in a deep tone.

“Yes!” Tony took his order immediately!

On the other side, Alex was sitting in the backseat of the car with a tablet in his hand. The tablet screen showed that the e-mail was successfully sent.

He could not help but let out a sigh as he felt that he had ripped his heart out.

Alex purposely revealed that his mother had come back from overseas to keep Sean and Molly connected. He was hoping that this man, who might be his daddy, would step up and pay them a visit through the information he had provided him for.
