Chapter 12: Preparation

When she got home, Jace was waiting patiently for Ann. He was sitting on a high chair while doing something on his laptop, located on the bar table near the kitchen set. He wore a casual t-shirt with a v-neck and black shorts. His stocky calves were attractive in Ann's eyes. Jace wore anti-radiation glasses that made his face look smart and full of charisma. Jace looked up when he saw Ann's arrival. He smiled.

"Hi, Ann. Did you have fun with Jax?” Jace asked as if he could guess what was going on.

Ann's face immediately turned red. Suddenly she became embarrassed.

“Uhm, I wanted to go visit my father's grave alone. But Jax offered to take me there," Ann replied nervously.
