The plane bounced twice before landing on the runway. The pilot was good, and the landing was as smooth as he could make it under the circumstances.
I looked over at our mate. She was clinging to Caleb’s hand, white knuckled, eyes screwed shut. She visibly relaxed when we landed, and my wolf finally calmed down. He was very excitable whenever Izzy was conflicted, and it made me irritable.
I stood and offered my hand to Izzy. We had persuaded her to change out of her heavy jeans and sweatshirt and put on a sundress. It was 85℉ outside and the sweatshirt would have been stifling.
