GRIZ POV

Izzy had told me to follow her scent until I found Kat.  I didn’t need to.  I just followed the screaming.

Once I had determined that it wasn’t Kat screaming, I slowed down and shifted back into myself.  I was a big dude, but my bear was even bigger, and the tunnel was tight.  It was still tight, but I fit better as myself. 

I rounded the corner and found myself in a larger chamber.   This was the source of the screaming.  And I was right.  Kat wasn’t the one doing the screaming.  She was causing the screaming.

Kat had pounded four stakes into the ground in a large X pattern.  She had then stretched out her captive between the stakes and tied his wrists and feet to each of the stakes.  She had also put two stakes directly on each side of his neck and strung a taunt wire over.  If he was to raise his head, the wire would cut into his neck.  Raise the head too f
