Cody took the first group back to New Dawn, then returned for Maverick, Alpha Garret Knight, and me. By the time we landed, the rest of Moonlit had made it through the tunnel, and we gave the order to collapse the tunnel so the demons couldn’t use it.

The fighting raged on.

I'm still upset!! Why ask what we want and then do the opposite? It's a great book, but why give us false hope?

what a beautiful way to tell this part of the story. Lots of feelings. So heartbroken.

One of the things that I said about this book was that it was finally a pleasure to read one little loud, good to override the bad while there was a loss. It was not massive devastation like this, even if they win, they’ve lost.
