Thank you so much for your supportive comments. Recently as well as over the break I took. They mean the world to me. Real life here—I actually received an award in middle school for being “The Most Likely To Be Confused For A Tomato” because I blushed constantly—every time I was called on to give an answer in class, any time anyone would talk to me, anytime anyone would look at me. I was always the new kid who was painfully shy, nervous, anxious, and scared of everybody. I can’t remember a time when anyone ever had my back. So reading your supportive comments has been…really awesome.
LYALL VALKO’S POV Cody took the first group back to New Dawn, then returned for Maverick, Alpha Garret Knight, and me. By the time we landed, the rest of Moonlit had made it through the tunnel, and we gave the order to collapse the tunnel so the demons couldn’t use it. The fighting raged on. Th
LYALL VALKO’S POV The explosion of light blinded us momentarily, but the entire alliance felt the loss of my mother. When my eyes adjusted, I knew what I would see. My mother and the light weren’t there anymore. There was nothing left of my parents. We all knew it would happen, but somehow, even

Thea closed her eyes. “Dare I ask what your purpose is?” “My purpose is to create life in more forms than you, even as gods, can fathom,” Life said. “And mine is to refine it,” Death added. “That’s why you helped us defeat Lilith?” “Your terms good and evil are simplistic, naïve, and reductive,
LYALL VALKO’S POV My mother took her hand away from me, and the vision stopped. I realized she had shown the vision to all my siblings, the Valkyries, and Delta team. “You’re all gods?” I said. “Looks that way, son,” Alaric said. “What will you do?” “We need to figure out our responsibilities a
Back to third-person POV Their arrival was dramatic. For millennia, the realm of the gods had been all but empty. A host of angels and Valkyries couldn't arrive unnoticed, nor could they be ignored. The gods walked toward the commotion. Thea, the triplets, and Xavier walked out in front to meet
"I have hated you all so much for so long. You made me into something that no one could love. Forced me into solitude long before you locked me away. Why? Why me? Why did you do all the things you did to me?" "We meant for you to lead the way, to evolve the species," one of the gods said. "You did
