Mate

"This could be dangerous" Logan stated worriedly while he and exquisitely dressed Axel walked unhurriedly to the room that the strange girl was kept in earlier.

Immediately Axel carried her, he took her to the mansion, to a room and called his personal doctor who was a witch to check her health.

It was evident that Logan was suspicious, it was very absurd to him that a girl would land on the sea shore after they communed about a strange topic of mermaids the other day. Seeing Axel so quiet and stern made him flabbergasted. Axel had never offered to help someone himself, he had people for it because normally, he would call his people to carry the girl.

"Boss, is this a good idea?" Logan inquired.

Axel didn't reply, it was like he had gone deaf which choked Logan. 

The bodyguards lined up in the hallway kept bowing as Axel and Logan walked by.

Axel's stern expression made them flabbergasted.

Was it because of the human girl? Is this bad news or good news? 

Those were the questions that rang in their head.

Finally, Axel and Logan arrived in the room. The bodyguards in front of the door bowed, Axel and Logan wordlessy entered the room seeing Benedict still inspecting the girl who was still unconscious on the king size bed. Her head was quite bandaged and she looked even paler.

Logan narrowed his eyes at the suspicious human girl who was making his boss act weird.

Benedict noticed their presence, paused and bowed at them smiling nervously.

"Don't smile like that, you won't die" Axel suddenly spoke so nonchalantly.

Swallowing hard, Logan questioned,

"How is the girl?" He asked curiously, he didn't care a bit about the girl, he kept having second thoughts.

"She is just fine," Benedict replied calmly.

Axel and Logan could tell from the unconscious human girl's steady heartbeat.

Logan looked at his boss and forced a smile but his smile disappeared, lips parted as his mouth formed an O form. He was blind right? He was right? Or maybe he was dreaming. Axel Raven, the most ruthless being on earth, was staring at a human girl with emotions in those icy ocean blue eyes.

"W... what!" He exclaimed with a whisper.

Axel didn't flinch at his exclamation even though he heard the stunned vampire, he was focused on the human girl.

"Why is her head bandaged?" Axel asked calmly, he observed the girl's complexion which was paler.

"Are you sure she is okay?" His voice hardened in slight anger.

Benedict laughed nervously and inhaled deeply. The boss was really emitting murder aura because of a random human.

"She is alright, I gave her some medicine to heal the minor injuries which caused her complexion to be paler and about her head, she has a serious head injury, I gave some medicine to heal the scars completely but..." He trailed and swallowed hard.

Axel, hearing the word BUT became instantly furious and impatient that Benedict paused.

"Why did you stop?" He was like a demon now.

Benedict couldn't understand anything at the moment, all he knew was that he had probably committed the biggest mistake of his life by trailing off.

Meanwhile Logan was still in shock by Axel's behavior because a random human girl including the bodyguards out of the room were sure that they had gone deaf.

"The injury is extremely serious, I am afraid she might not remember anything about her past," Benedict finally informed, with the same feeling that a heavy load was off his shoulders.

Axel returned a calm gaze to the girl and a small amused smile curved his attractive thin heart shaped lips. 

Logan almost screamed in shock as he realized what was happening, the same expression was on Benedict's face. 

"Could it be?" Logan thought blinking rapidly.

"She can't really remember anything?" Axel's voice was now light and free.

Benedict swallowed hard in shock while Logan was trying to wake himself up from his nightmare.

Axel's sudden behavior was very unbelievable. It was the first time that he was behaving so weirdly because of someone random. He normally acted like this when he was satisfied in killing someone and when he was talking to his extremely close accomplices. Axel killed everyday, he was a demon with no emotion who only focused on having everything he wanted and building his organization. 

"Yes Boss, she is basically like a child now and I am not sure that she can recover from this" Benedict replied after taking some deep breaths.

"Okay, you can leave" 

Benedict bowed at Axel, took his suitcase and walked hurriedly out of the room.

Logan looked at Axel who hadn't removed his eyes from the unconscious random girl.

"What are you going to do Boss?" Logan asked extremely curiously.

"I will keep her"

Logan's blood red eyes widened in extreme shock.

"K.. keep her? I am not sure it's a good idea" 

"Don't be ridiculous, she is harmless" Axel smiled.

Logan almost squealed but composed himself in time.

"It may be a trap or something, remember you have so many enemies, they must have sent her or kept her there for a mission or something" Logan tried to reason with Axel.

"That's absurd coming from you Logan, I want to keep her and you must not do anything to her because she is mine from now onwards" Axel declared confidently.

"Yo...yours Boss?" Logan shakingly asked as if he didn't hear the first time.

Axel finally broke his gaze from the unconscious human girl and glared murderously at Logan who regretted asking that immediately.

"Yes mine" Axel's voice was hard and stern, it showed that he stood his ground and Logan got it.

Axel moved a calm gaze to the girl and took slow steps towards the bed. When he finally met the bed, he bent and leaned his face close to her.

"Ours.." His wolf purred.

"Mate" Axel whispered calmly, allowing a proud smile curved on his lips.
