I have decided to ensure that there will be no more shocking factor throughout the entire campaign of Aeternum expansion into the Great Southern Wasteland, I need to spread Aeternum intelligence across the entire wasteland and also handling the intelligence on all bordering nation that is closed to the Great Southern Wasteland. Right now to me to most suspected outside merchants that rather have large influences in the wasteland, is from the Hallerus Kingdom and also the Battle Star Empire. These 2 were to my early deductions, the the largest player in the wasteland, to these certainly I need to have a tight information on all of them. Perhaps, is things does not goes to what I desires them to be, then it can be helped, the factor need to be eliminated.“Hello, Elijah…did you read the report that I sent to you last night?..”.I were on the phone call with Elijah, after finding out the recent information about the current settlements of wasteland conditions. After hours of brainstormin
Whilst it took time for Aeternum have the full coverage of the intelligence works in the Wasteland, I turned my attention to the mapping and scouting the surrounding areas of the base. After the Barrier Wall were put in place, the entire base is currently in the midst of building all the essential buildings. For now everything were from the barrack all the way to the command centre were still in the form of military tents. Sure it was a modern ones and much more advanced and comfortable than the ones that everyone were using in these medieval era, but at the end of the day, it was still a tent and it didn’t really gave a full comfort as any real building. So I put an emphasize on hurrying the construction of the buildings as fast as they can, sure it just has been about 4 days since I have arrived and just a week since the base were opened and the First batch team arrived. But then again, when modern construction meet with magics then it can surely surpassed the usual time limitation
The convoy that were rushing in through the base gate, immediately head straight to the field medical hospital. Which is perhaps the most relaxing place, ever since the stampede chaos ended. In fact, perhaps the Field Medical Hospital in these base were the one that has the less work of all these time, mostly because nearly all the personnel that were on the base were all Vampires that can easily healed themselves whenever they were injured. Instead of heading to the hospital all of them just healed themselves with blood that their enemies spilled. I got there with Alessia just a few minutes late, and currently all the Soldiers Medics, Doctors and nurse staff is getting busy with moving the patients from the trucks.“Your Highness President!…Madam Colonel!…Attention!!..”. (Sergeant Deckard)As both me and Alessia were standing behind the parked trucks in front of the hospital, one of the soldiers that were getting breathers near the parked trucks, sitting down on the ground leaning at
As we were standing beside the currently hectic Field Hospital, Sergeant Deckard and his second in command of the squad, Corporal Mendy, went ahead and made their report, and explained everything to me and Colonel Alessia, according to their explanation, they found the injured locals as they were scouting their designated area, at the South West of the base, around 1.5 kilometers away. And just like what Alessia had speculate before, they were coming from the local settlements in the area, and were devastated by the large wild monster stampede that hit the base before.“At first me and my team didn’t really noticed the settlements as we go passed the place for the first time…because at the first glance..that village is looking like nothing like a village at all…all we saw just a mound of dirt that is slightly higher than the ground…so instead me and my teams just decided to continues with our designated mission areas…”. (Sergeant Deckard)It was understandable that they just got pass
Despite the new discovery at the Field Medical Hospital in the Aeternum Wasteland Base, the rest of the base were moving just as the usual. To all Aeternums that were currently working on all of the aspect of the base, be it constructions, management and the soldiers, everyone were doing their best and enjoying to do so, as they all know and proud that they were the one that is selected to performed these honourable, duty, that is to spread the utopia known as Aeternum to the entire world. At the Base Aero Port which is known as one of the busiest place on the base, it was filled with actions, as the constant departure and arrival of Airship on the port and tarmac.“….alright stop backing up!…guys, let’s hurry up and load the frozen goods!…Wizards Staff, please maintained the temperature of the pallets as we moved the cargo!…let’s start moving people!!…Oh Corporal Milk…thanks for the help…”. (Supervisor Rio)“Nah don’t mention it, Supervisor Rio…beside us Transportation
Before anyone realize, the news about the base sudden changed of mission objectives has become spread all over the base and already reached Aeternum Mainland, all thanks to a single group conversation at the Tarmac, all the flight staff of the Airships that docks at the base, started to go around asking about these matters, as they have heard of it from the previous crews that flew from the base to Aeternum. All of the sudden, these humanitarian story from the Wasteland become famous, is a matter of a few hours.“Master, is it true that our Scouts now have an additional objectives?…what is is again….hmmm.. ah search and rescue…is that true?..”. (Colonel Yvone)“Hmm?…well, it was still under my consideration at the moment…I haven’t made it official yet….how did you heard about these?..”.It was 7 in the evening right now, Alessia has gone off to joined the Base wall inspections duty, whilst Yvone is just coming in duty after her brief travel back last night to Aeternum to arranged all
As the whole nation were currently speculating on their own, on whether the President is going to do another unexpected benevolence act or not. Meanwhile at the Wasteland Aeternum Base, everything were still continued at it’s own normal phase. Although just in the Command Centre alone, the fact that the Scouts would be having their objectives added, is already a well known agenda, as last evening the President has already discussed these matters to all the Commanding staff. Thanks to the President that are willing to air these matters to everyone in the Command Centre, everyone has gotten a clear pictures about why the President still haven’t confirmed anything.“Another Squads asking whether we will be doing Search and Rescue mission…….these guys is really have no patience at all..”.(Communication Officer Jane)Among the 10 Communication officer that are currently working inside the Command Center tent, Officer Jane, frustratingly ended up her recent call, with a clear annoyan
Inside of the Command Centre tent, at the Communication and Strategy sections, the Communication officers that were on duty has keeping track of everything and each single time that they received a contact from the A.C.I.A agents that were on the field, they would stands up and go to the Map of the wasteland that is centered around the base. As time goes by, the originally empty map, were now started to get filled. All the information about the terrain and situation around the base were carefully marked, be it dungeons, forest, mines, monster dens. Everything were being marked. The marking on the map is slowly being over crowded by icons, and one in particular that have been recently marked is the destroyed settlements and also the settlements around the Aeternum Base. The numbers of these settlements has been steadily going up, especially the fully destroyed ones, also, right now, there no sighting of any settlements that does not have any damaged at all, all of them were barely stan
In bustling city squares, people gathered around public radios and large screens broadcasting the speech. Patriotic songs erupted spontaneously, as street performers played instruments, and the crowds joined in singing with fervor. The sight of Aeternum’s blue-and-gold banners fluttering in the wind became a symbol of hope and unity. For Alemia immigrants like Dario, a young carpenter who fled his homeland years ago, the news hit like a thunderbolt. Dario’s hands trembled as he gripped the edge of the workbench he was leaning on.“They’re going to free it,”he whispered, disbelief coloring his voice. His coworker, an Aeternum citizen, clapped him on the back and said with a wide grin,“Not ‘they.’ We are going to free it.”Dario smiled for the first time in years, tears glistening in his eyes.“Yes. We are.”For the millions of Alemia refugees living in Aeternum, this was a moment of vindication. They had fled their homeland in search of safety, many of them leaving loved ones behind.
“Good afternoon, citizens of Aeternum, people of Alemia, and brave soldiers of our army.Today, we stand at the cusp of history. Today, we march towards the final chapter of a war that should never have been necessary but became inevitable due to the greed, corruption, and incompetence of Alemia’s rulers. For too long, the so-called leadership of Alemia Nation has plagued this continent with its tyranny. Their greed led them to exploit our kindness, pillage our ships, and harm our people. For months, they ransacked our trade routes and embezzled millions of gold coins from our donations meant to help their suffering people. They took what was given freely and returned betrayal. But this war is not only about Aeternum’s justice. It is about liberating a land that has been drowning in oppression for decades. Alemia’s nobles and leaders have ruled with fear, corruption, and cruelty, subjecting their people to a life of suffering, where crime and evil fester unchecked. Their governance ha
“Enough,”I said, my tone firm but calm.“I understand your frustrations, but we must remain focused. This isn’t about them—it’s about us and the legacy we’re building.”Bina and Lucas nodded, though their anger was still palpable. Eliza wiped a tear of laughter from her eye, her grin fading as she straightened up.“We’ll use this situation to our advantage,”I continued.“Their incompetence is our opportunity. At 1:00 PM, we’ll begin the march towards the Central Region. Every front will advance simultaneously, stopping just 2 kilometers from Alemia Capital City.”The generals listened intently as I outlined the next steps.“When we reach that point,”I said, my voice carrying the weight of the moment,“I will address the nation through a live broadcast on Aeternum Media. The people need to see our resolve, our strength, and our commitment to ending this war. This isn’t just about conquering Alemia—it’s about uniting this land under the banner of peace, stability, and progress.”Bina
“You’re telling me this is the actual state of their forces?”Selie nodded, her expression unwavering.“Yes, sir. I confirmed all the information personally during the mission, and cross-referenced it with Count Dracul’s intelligence. The data is accurate.”The absurdity of the report was almost too much to process. According to the findings, the Crown Prince Amaris and Queen Romella’s forces were in complete disarray. Each side could barely muster 10,000 combat-ready soldiers, and those were in poor condition. Their leadership was non-existent, their strategies laughable, and their morale utterly shattered.“It’s like they’re begging to lose,”I said incredulously, setting the report down.“How did they even make it this far?”“They haven’t, sir,”Selie replied with a faint smirk.“They’re just floundering, hoping to outlast one another. Both sides are puppets, controlled by the nobles and vassals around them who are more interested in their own power plays than the war itself.”I le
“Summarize the troop positions and supply lines,”Selie instructed Maiden Aria, who was already pouring over a detailed map of the city.“Yes, ma’am,”Aria replied, her voice calm and professional. Meanwhile, Maiden Liana compiled a list of key figures within the enemy forces, cross-referencing them with the profiles provided by Count Dracul.“Do we need to wake the President?”Victoria asked as she filed her portion of the report. Selie shook her head.“No. The situation doesn’t warrant it. This is less of a war and more of a clean-up operation. The enemy forces are barely worth the effort. We’ll brief him in the morning.”The Maidens nodded in agreement, their movements efficient and precise as they continued organizing the information. Selie couldn’t help but feel a mix of satisfaction and disappointment as she reviewed the compiled intelligence. The state of the Crown Prince Amaris and Queen Romella’s forces was abysmal.“The Crown Prince’s forces are exhausted, demoralized, and p
“The Crown Prince’s forces are as undisciplined and chaotic as this file suggests?”Count Dracul, standing stiffly at attention, nodded firmly.“Yes, Lt. Colonel. They are barely a shadow of what they once were. Their troops are underfed, underpaid, and completely demoralized. The noble’s squabble among themselves, and neither the Crown Prince nor the Queen has the wit or leadership to unite them.”Selie raised an eyebrow, leaning back in her chair with an expression that was equal parts disbelief and disdain.“So, they’re little more than children playing at war,” she muttered under her breath, her sharp tone betraying her disappointment. “It’s almost laughable. If this is what they call leadership, it’s a wonder they lasted this long.”For the next few minutes, Selie cross-referenced every point in the dossier with Count Dracul. Every troop position, every supply depot, and every weakness listed was corroborated. Dracul’s responses were quick and precise, each answer adding weight t
“Count Dracul,”she began, her voice firm and unwavering,“I trust you’ve gathered the intelligence we requested. I need a full assessment of the current situation in the capital—numbers, key locations, morale, everything.”Count Dracul inclined his head and moved to his desk, retrieving a thick file of documents.“Of course, Lt. Colonel. I anticipated your arrival and prepared these reports. They contain detailed accounts of the enemy’s troop movements, the state of the Queen’s court, and the overall morale of the capital’s populace.”He handed the file to Selie with both hands, his gaze flickering nervously as she began flipping through the pages with meticulous precision. The room fell silent save for the sound of rustling paper. Dracul, despite his composed exterior, felt a bead of sweat trail down his temple. Selie’s reputation for strictness was well-known, and he could only hope his work met her exacting standards.Selie’s sharp eyes scanned the documents, her brow furrowing sl
“You know, it’s said that the Maidens could topple an entire city if they wanted. I mean, we’re special forces, but compared to them…”He trailed off, shaking his head. Lionel smirked, glancing back at the young sergeant.“Compared to them? We’re kids playing soldier, Miles. But remember this: tonight, we’re part of something bigger. So, keep your head in the game.”After an hour of steady driving, the convoy finally came to a halt roughly one kilometer east of Alemia Capital City. The soldiers disembarked quietly, their boots crunching softly against the dirt. The chilly night air bit at their skin, but it wasn’t the cold that sent shivers down their spines—it was the sight before them.In the faint moonlight, Alemia Capital City loomed in the distance like a wounded giant. Its once-mighty walls were battered and crumbling, scars of relentless conflict etched into its stone.Surrounding the city, like a cancerous growth, were countless makeshift camps—hundreds of thousands of tents s
“The Maidens will lead the mission. Their unmatched skills, combined with the support of the Special Forces under Captain Lionel, will ensure success. This is a surgical operation—precision and stealth are paramount.”Lionel chuckled softly, leaning back in his chair.“Well, I can’t say I’m surprised. Watching the Maidens in action is a rare privilege, and I’d be lying if I said my team wasn’t looking forward to it.”Selie smirked.“Captain, try not to get too distracted. We still need you to keep up.”Lionel held up his hands in mock surrender.“Noted, Colonel. I’ll make sure my team stays focused.”I stood from my chair, signaling the seriousness of the mission.“Selie, you and the Maidens will infiltrate the capital. Your objectives are threefold: map the city’s fortifications, gather intelligence on troop deployments, and locate key targets for our final assault. Captain Lionel, your team will support from a distance—ensuring extraction points are secure and ready for the operatio
